    @eilis1228 I purposefully didn't register at BBB because I didn't think I could handle how overwhelming that store is!! There is SO MUCH STUFF everywhere and it drives me bonkers. What's your favorite thing/things that you and your FI registered for?

  • hahaha @southernpeach89 - I can TOTALLY picture Maddux creeping up and making out with you. Violet isn't a kisser. I've actually tried to teach her to give me kisses, but she rarely will. With her poop breath, it's probably better that way.

  • @labro We were really good for the first 45 minutes or so, and then we were like, 'We'll just look online later..." about a lot of stuff. We're both REALLY excited about possibly getting a Kitchenaid stand mixer. I think if we don't end up getting it for the wedding, we'll still buy it afterwards with the completion discount. We registered for a cast iron pizza stone, so I'm imagining all the amazing pizza we could make with the stone and the mixer. :)

  • I heard about The Jinx on the news this morning... I really wanna see it! esp since homie was just arrested on Saturday.

    @Dignity100 Happy Birthday!

    @CocoBellaF I literally just this morning finished cleaning out my own closet... it was a week-long process lol. I now have three bags of donations for Big Brother Big Sister going out Friday! Feels soooo good and I got rid of A LOT of high schoolish things too lol. I definitely wouldn't call my wardrobe "adult" yet though... probably because my job's dress code sucks lol
  • @GoldenPenguin LOL! I wouldn't let CHey Chey kiss me either. I don't even like being near her because her breath is so bad. She isn't much of a kisser either though...THANK GOD!

    @southernpeach89 I'd probably projectile vomit if Chey tried to kiss me.

    Wow. Way too much has happened already to respond to everyone. Yay for everyone who bought new things though! And I hope all you ladies have a great time at @GoldenPenguin 's bridal shower!

    I GET TO GO ON VACATION THIS YEAR! I was searching arond for vacation packages this weekend, because I have been terrible at planning a trip for BF and I. Plus, he never seems to get excited about anything I suggest, so I tend to give up on certain ideas really quickly. Well, I found the perfect package for us! 10 days in Costa Rica, visiting two of my favorite locations from when I went before, and adding on a third that I have been DYING to go to. He agreed on the cost, and we agreed to go for our anniversary in November, so now all I have to do is book it! Hoping to have that done by the end of the week. Gimme two minutes and I'll post the link HERE.

  • @labro, this would be me if Chey tried to kiss me:

  • @TwoDimes Wow, you are definitely on her radar. :-\ Will there be wine at Easter? You may need it! We did register for a dutch oven! We went with the Lodge brand because it's less expensive than Le Creuset or Staub, and it apparently works just as well. I'm really excited about that too because I was looking up dutch oven recipes all weekend. As exhausting as it was to register, it was still really exciting. What are you most looking forward to registering for?

  • @CocoBellaF - Love the new wardrobe and YAY for PAYING OFF STUDENT LOANS! That has to feel fantastic!

    @Dignity100 & @TwoDimes - We're trying to get Remi used to all the new things in the nursery before the baby gets here. He's pretty sensitive and I think he knows what's going on. Every time I rub my belly and say "where's the baby" he licks my face like..."no, I'M the baby!". Too cute!

  • Thursday was a bad day for me. I had four anxiety attacks- three of which happened at work. My boss was so great about it and gave me Friday off w/ full pay and I didn't have to use my sick or vacation time. She is the best.

    Since I had the day off, I cleaned the house and ran some errands. Went to my attorney's office to pay my final bill for my divorce, and got the ball rolling on getting my name changed back. Friday night we went out with some friends, but it was was way too crowded so we left after about an hour.

    On Saturday I got my hair done, which was really nice because it had been a few months since the last time I did it. Then I baked some cupcakes for a birthday party. It was in a TINY apartment with 50+ people AND THE AC WAS BUSTED. We literally walked in, dropped off the cupcakes, gave the bday girl a hug, and left. It was also really smoky in the apartment because the host was still cooking food (lumpia!). It was really ridiculous. A few of our closer friends saw us leaving, and they ended up coming over to our place to watch movies.

    Sunday we took a trip to Orlando to go to Ikea. We have been eyeing a giant mirror, but it is too big to fit in our car! We ended up getting a lot of other things- a dresser, filing cabinet, side table, and some decor pieces. Then we went out to karaoke.

    In other news, our meal plan ends on Wednesday and we really can't wait! We both feel like we haven't lost a whole lot of weight. We are going to out to a fancy (and carb-filled) dinner later this week. :)

    @swazzle I like the couch, that picture didn't pick up any orange tones.
    What's TWD?

    __________

    Friday I worked out, watched TV and looked at centerpiece ideas online.

    Saturday I went to a consult for hair extensions since I want longer hair for the wedding. Well let's just say I'm not getting extensions unless I magically get a couple grand before the wedding! Crazy expensive.

    Yesterday I tried on my dress for FI's cousin who will be doing the alterations. Her mom came up with a belt idea and I decided to buy a THIRD pair of gold sandals that will hopefully fit and go with my dress/belt. That's good to know that alterations will be underway!
    Then I went out with FMIL to look for a dress for her for the wedding. The first place we looked had nothing- I don't know why typical MOB/MOG dresses all look like something maybe an 85 year old would wear. I suggested checkig David's so we headed over there and found her dress!

    FI's suit also got delivered so he tried that on. Pants were way too big and jacket too long so we reordered different sized and hopefully those work! I feel like a lot was accomplished yesterday!

    THEN one of FI's friends (also a GM) came over to watch the hockey game with him. He brought up how the other GM was pretty much taking control of the bachelor party, trying to plan an ALL DAY affair that no one wants any part of and he's not listening to anyone's suggestions. I know his friend didn't mean to stress FI out but it did. Now I feel really bad- I feel like no one is going to go because other GM is just planning craziness. Now I'm stressed about it because I feel bad :(

  • @goldenpenguin - This is the ring H decided on : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007NCBQ5G/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 he wanted something lightweight and not expensive in case he looses it. We ordered the ring on a whim thinking 'we can get something else and have this as a spare' if the ring didn't work out, but it looks just as it does in the picture.

    @AlPacina - YAY Vacation!!

    @allusive007 - Remi will always be the baby too :)

    @CocoBellaF @labro @eilis1228 @untouchablet @anybody-I-forgot - thanks for the bday wishes!

    Nessie is a sneak-attack-kisser, she'll be staring at you (all creepy like) and then out of the blue kiss you (and she goes for full on french kisses).  She also gets in these weird licking moods where she'll lick your arm for as long as you'll let her.  Loki thankfully doesn't give kisses anymore, he used to lick my chin.

    H and I are thinking about changing our anniversary trip from another Disney vacation to a cruise.  Neither of us have cruised before, so I'm researching because it all seems so confusing to me right now (with the what time do we need to arrive, excursions, etc) - I'm sure it's not confusing at all.

  • @alpacina that's awesome, when are you going? FI and I really want to go to Costa Rica too. I looked in to it for our HM but we're getting married in June and I guess that's their really rainy season. I'm a beach girl and I can't take that big of a risk!

  • @EVERYONE - Free vanilla ice cream cone at Dairy Queen today for their 75th Anniversary. Just thought you'd want to know, since some of you seem to be having nice weather!

    @lavenderfields13 - We're probably going at the end of November. The rainy season is dying down about then. I would still love a little rain. Everything smells so good, and it's all so green!...... But when it rains, it pours. And there is lightning. And roads wash out all over the place. I would recommend not going in June/July :(

  • @alpacina yeah I decided on definitely NOT going then. I read December and January are great months to go so end of November should be nice too!

  • @lavenderfields13 - TWD = The Walking Dead

    OK I'm so bad at figuring that stuff out- took me forever to figure out that when people wrote OITNB it's Orange is the New Black haha.

    FI watches The Walking Dead and reads the graphic novels. I've watched a few episodes with him and I don't get the craze- it seems so boring and tedious to me!

  • @TwoDimes A backyard fire pit sounds AMAZING! I'd probably be out there almost every night during the summer.

    @lavenderfields13 TWD is so good! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea though.

    @KeptInStitches I'm glad your shower went well! What was your favorite gift or gifts?

    @phira Those seating cards are crazy intense! But really cool of your brother!

  • @phira - I am really bad at maths, so I totally don't understand the equation stuff, but I think it is SUCH a cool, personal idea.

    I also work at an engineering school and we celebrate Pi Day to the extreme, so I've become even more aware of these things over the last couple of years, haha.

    @goldenpenguin He had a LOT of free time during his spring break, clearly! It was so sweet how excited he was, though. I haven't asked, but I think he didn't have a lot of input for his first wedding; all of the ideas struck me as very much my ex-SIL's. So seeing all of the personal touches was really wonderful.

  • @dignity100 - Cruises are sooo simple, that's what I love about them! Check with the cruise line to find out what time you ABSOLUTELY have to be on the boat, but I suggest getting there earlier if possible. My last cruise was open for boarding from 12-4 and we barely made it by 4 and I was jealous because other people had been on-board drinking and relaxing for a couple hours already. Also, if are flying you don't want to cut it too close in case there are flight delays.
    As for excursions, you can book through the cruise line ahead of time or wait until you get into port and book then. There will be tons of companies at the port waiting to sign you up for various tours, when you book just depends if you prefer to lock in ahead of time or make a game-time decision based on how you feel.

    OH and definitely do some research on websites aside from the cruise line. There are tons of websites that offer substantial discounts from the brochure prices and allow you to search by all sorts of criteria (length, departure ports, ports of call, price, ship rating, etc.).

    Sorry for rambling....I just love cruises. :)

    This Monday is a toughie. I'm back from a week in Mexico and tomorrow is my last day at this job. AKA zero motivation to do ANYTHING. I did take an extended lunch though, which allowed me to take care of all the errands I had to do.

  • @labro, either the Dutch oven (!), the pots and pans set, or the silverware.
  • @KeptInStitches - Those are all really fun gifts!!  I'm glad you had a great time at your shower.
