Hello everyone,I am getting married next month. I don't like my first name. I have always been known by a shorter version of my full name. I would like to make it my legal name. Is it too late to change it before the wedding? If I change it after, how would that affect our marriage papers? What all would be involved in changing my first name after the wedding?I gather from research I've done that it's very easy to change the first name. But it seems I might not have time to do this before my wedding. My main concern now is: how will my first name change affect my marriage(legally speaking)? Will I have to change my marriage license as well? Could we encounter problems when filing taxes, banking accounts, etc?I will be taking my FI last name, could I request the change at the same time?I live in Dallas, Tx.Thanks
