Some of our wedding guests and bridal party did not get us gifts.

  I'm curious about this.  Some of our wedding guests and most of our bridal party didn't get us a wedding gifts. I thought that if you go to a wedding, you get the couple a gift or a card.  Have things changed? Has anyone had this happen.  I'm not gift greedy or anything. I just didn't know guests could do this.

I had guest ask if they could bring other guests on top of their plus one because they couldn't drive in the dark and other reasons. I said yes due to the driving but they didn't bring anything at all no card or anything which i found rude. You ask to bring more people the least you could do is put like $40 in a card or even just a card would have been nice. I also had a person say sorry I can't make it, then show up with a guest and not bring anything. I could never do that.
