So, I'm a grown up who loves to color - what's your weird hobby?

One of my new hobbies after my breakup was crocheting and then I gave myself trigger finger and had to stop while it heals.  So now, I've taken up coloring.  I got this insanely awesome grown up coloring book and some nice colored pencils and it's seriously so calming and relaxing.  I highly recommend it.

What weird hobbies do you have?

Not "weird" per se, but definitely different since I live in super urban Northern New Jersey...  but I LOVE to go country-line dancing

It is amazing, super high quality, there is another one too.  It was in the NYTimes the other day!

Not really "weird" I guess, but I'm a doodler & I love trying out different fonts with my own handwriting.

I saw this one recently and I need it! I agree, coloring is super relaxing (and having a toddler is a great excuse for me to get to do it more often.)

I'm a crocheter too. I get the trigger finger thing, definitely let yourself heal, and don't hold your hook so tight next time! 

I don't know if it's a weird hobby, but my other one is gardening. I have an awesome fruit and veggie garden, and I grow some pretty kick ass strawberries in the spring/early summer, and the world's largest yellow squash later in the summer. 

I also really like working out and being competitive. I do triathlons partly to stay in shape, and partly because it's almost like playing outside when I was a kid, since I get to swim and ride my bike.

I totally bought a Disney Princess coloring book that was on sale at Walgreens one day. Sat down and colored the thing. No shame.

I actually got it on my threading hand, not my hook hand, how weird is that?

I love to color too but I get the child coloring books, I also like to write cheesy poems, and have stuffed animals

Wow those are awesome!  I'm not good at drawing freehand which is why I'm loving coloring

Thank you! I love coloring too but I don't color in fancy coloring books like you. I totally buy the Disney Princess, or Barbie, or My Little Pony ones lol. Whatever.

I had no idea adult coloring books existed! I've always said that I wanted to get coloring books to color. I love it and find it so relaxing. So that shall by my new weird hobby. 

I really can't think of any weird hobbies. All of mine (climbing, sailing, spin, reading) are normal.

I highly recommend it!  these books are gorgeous and super intricate.  I got a 48 pack of soft core coloring pencils and they are so pretty with it!

I have that coloring book! love it! I'm also really obsessed with cooking. Not just in the "oh, I have to make dinner" variety, but the "OMG look at these amazing cold-press avocado oils, I can do so many things with this!" totally geeking out kind of way.

I am terrible at crafts/drawing, but I can color the shit out of a coloring book.  I also get way too excited when we go to restaurants with paper table cloths you can doodle on.

I went on a date that had a bar with that and the guy drew an awesome dragon.  Unfortunately I was more impressed with the dragon than him lol

But this is funny, because I literally ordered that colouring book (and her other one) not two days ago! I got one for my sister-in-law too. They're going to take like two months to ship, apparently!

Yeah I had to wait like a week for this one and it'll be another week before the other one gets here.  I have another book of all mandelas called "Balance" that I've been enjoying as well.

Ugh, it's bad so far, haha! I let my BIL get pretty involved and he's
all about "special effects" and such... my vision was more talking-head
style with a family living through the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse. But we want to get back to shooting once the snow melts, so we'll see.

I love coloring. I'll totally bust out the crayons and little kid books from time to time and spend entirely too much time shading. I bought my sister a grown up coloring book and nice colored pencils for Christmas and really regretted not getting one for myself, but now all the ones I want are out of stock on Amazon. Boo hiss.
