Now here in New England, we love our ginger ale. Pretty much all restaurants have it on tap. When I lived in AZ people thought I was insane for trying to order it. They were like "Um, we don't have that...you only drink that when you're sick". Travesty I tell you.

Seriously you can't get it anywhere! It's like a praise Jesus moment when they have it.

I went to a bar and decided I was done drinking and asked for a ginger ale and waitress goes oh we don't have that. Guys....I had been drinking Jameson and gingers. As in Jameson with ginger ale. WHERE WAS THE GINGER ALE COMING FROM. So I just asked for a virgin Jameson and ginger and got my ginger ale.

Some people are so dumb that I seriously wonder how they get through their days. They should wear helmets in public.

Love it, just had some yesterday!

Could not find it at all in Scotland. They had no idea what we were talking about. Had to drink regular beer. Still good.

FI looooooves root beer but I kind of don't get it. I don't know if I've ever had more than a couple sips of one. It tastes fine, I'd just never think to order it (and I don't drink much pop.) I buy him a case of Barq's once a month or so though.And he likes rum and root beer at parties but I had to make him stop ordering it at work functions because it makes him look underage, lol.

I did go through a stage a few years ago where I drank a lot of bartender's root beers though at this one bar. It's Kahlua, Galliano, and cola though so no actual root beer involved.

I don't like conventional ginger ale much either but I do like the really spicy ginger beer you can get in Caribbean restaurants/shops easily. And the alcoholic kind too. I like it to be really gingery.
