NWR Spin-off: Myers-Briggs

In the Friends thread I brought up the Myers-Briggs personality types and I'm kind of obsessed with it. So I'm curious what your personality type is! I'm between INFP and ENFP but I typically get INFP in tests I've taken. If you've never taken the test, here's a link: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

Re: NWR Spin-off: Myers-Briggs

  • I'm obsessed too. I may or may not quiz people I meet that I really like to try and figure out their type and thus know everything about them...

I'm an INFJ! My N and my S are pretty close though.

I always like to hear about how different types are in romantic relationships. My first serious BF was an ISTJ and while I had great respect for him, it was a terrible love match for me. I met an INTP recently that I really like so we'll see how that pairing works out!
  • I'm an INFP. I seem to swing between INFP and INFJ though, 'cause I'm right in the middle with P and J, but the last couple of times I've tested it's been P.

    DH is INFJ.

  • I'm an ENFP, although I can fake a J if needed. In new groups, I let people know that I process things out loud, and where I start may not be where I finish. Best result from first taking the test? I understood why my best friend could say she was going to Nova Scotia for three months in the winter--and do it, while I was still going on and on about other life plans.
  • Normally test INFJ, this time I was ISFJ, but N and S are close!

Another good assessment is the Strengthsfinder book
  • I took the test in Psych class and I was ISFP but taking it now many years later,  I am ISFJ.
  • Weirdly enough, I always swing between INFJ (usually) and INFP too like KytchenWitche. I always read that INFJ is supposedly uncommon but I've been part of several online discussions before where there seem to be lots of us. I guess we congregate on the Internet or something.

  • I'm an ESTJ (though my S and I are pretty close). Every time I've taken this I always get ESTJ.

  • I'm an INFJ as well.

    H is an INTJ.

I also find that INFJs tend to find each other. The majority of my friends from college (art school ) are also INFJ.

  • I end up with INTJ or INFJ every time. I don't know why the T/F wobbles, but it never wobbles far either way - it's usually just a small lean toward one or the other. I took it twice this morning, for example, and got INTJ the first time and INFJ the second.

I get more INTJ results than I do INFJ though.

  • Huh... I got INTJ. Interesting...

  • I got ISTJ: Introvert(89%)  Sensing(12%)  Thinking(50%)  Judging(11%).

    ENFP

    Neato

I took this in college in a behavioral class and it was interesting how most of the students got extrovert. Then here on the internet most people are introvert.

    I am also obsessed with this. I got ESFP: Extravert(56%)  Sensing(25%)  Feeling(62%)  Perceiving(44%)

  • ISTJ - Introvert 44%, Sensing 100%, Thinking 25%, Judging 44%.

The description above is pretty accurate on me

  • I have always been an ESTJ, but today I came out just barely an ISTJ.

    Introvert(6%)  Sensing(38%)  Thinking(75%)  Judging(100%)

    I've always been 100% Judging.

  • ENTJ: Extravert 1%, Intuitive 50%, Thinking (1%), Judging 44%

This explains why I get a different result almost every time I take one of these tests. Since I have no preference on E versus I or on T versus F, those two letters always change in my results depending on my mood when I take the test.

Every single time I've taken this over the years, I get ENTJ.

    ETA: Results:
    Extravert(67%)  iNtuitive(38%)  Thinking(38%)  Judging(67%)
    • You have distinct preference of Extraversion over Introversion (67%)
    • You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (38%)
    • You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (38%)
    • You have distinct preference of Judging over Perceiving (67%)

I got ISTJ too. I feel like it's pretty accurate.

    Introvert(67%)  Sensing(38%)  Thinking(1%)  Judging(22%)

Very excited to be the same as Sean Connery.

  • I've taken this test a few times and always get INFJ. I'm interested to see what SO would be though, I don't think he's ever taken it and now I'm curious!

  • I'm an ISTJ: Introvert (56%), Sensing (56%), Thinking (1%), Judging (33%)

I think I'll always be Introverted. I really don't like being in huge crowds and I draw my energy from doing things on my own. I love being with my friends but I get very exhausted very quickly.

This would also explain why I thought to post that other thread.

This was fun @hellohkb! Thanks for posting this :-D

That's interesting! I'm pretty sure FI would be opposite of me if he took this test.

  • Yeah, I'm not sure what FI is but he's a textbook extrovert. I'm positive he's either an ESTJ or ENTJ, though, which is pretty far from my own INFJ but I think means we are really good for helping each other's weaknesses.

This is so weird - coworkers and I got into a conversation about Meyers-Briggs on Friday! I am an INFJ, and have been every single time I have tested. Apparently it's one of the less common personality types, so I am surprised to see all the INFJ's on here!

    INFJ
    Introvert(56%)  iNtuitive(31%)  Feeling(38%)  Judging(78%)
You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (56%)

You have strong preference of Judging over Perceiving (78%)

  • I'm a strong ESTJ. I think I've gotten more J over time. A few years ago when I  took this my J and P were close, but not now. I  blame the knot.
