Bridesmaid dresses - too flashy?

Hey ladies,

I'm having a 2pm church wedding, with an evening dinner (no gap) and myself along with my bridesmaids love this dress, but I'm wondering if its too much for a 2pm wedding? My colors are black and gold, hence a gold dress.

What do you think?

As much as I'd love to say "no, whatever, do what you want!" I do think that's a bit much for 2:00 at a church.

I love that dress but it doesn't say 2pm church wedding. It says 7pm black tie affair.

@AlisonM23 that's cute but it's over the budget for one of my BMs. The dresses need to be around $100.

Not necessarily. I was thinking of going the matching route but if we can't find anything in the next couple weeks I will just have them choose their own, probably a black dress.

Totally not trying to be the etiquette police, just curious how you are having an evening dinner with no gap? Unless evening to you is like 4pm.

I might just tell them to pick out little black dresses (give them a length or general preferences on fabric or style), and then they can throw on some gold accessories.

Church ceremony over by 3, 20 minute drive to reception (plus a few min for parking, etc) 2nd ceremony probably about 3:45, (Persian) about 30 minutes long, cocktail hour. It won't be like a 7pm dinner but I guess 5ish is still evening to me.

I know, but it was important for us to have both of our cultures represented.  Hopefully people will feel like we made up for it with the free booze though!

@chibiyui I really like that first one, but there are pretty much no sizes in stock!

@AlisonM23 I think I am just going to end up doing this.  Then that's one less decision I have to make!
