I have good news to share!
I posted a few months ago about my mother having been diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Mom has been to Barnes Jewish for a second opinion. Today she received the results that she does NOT have pulmonary fibrosis!
She does have rheumatoid arthritis, which is an auto immune disease and it can involve the lungs. However, the lung issue (and the RA) is in incredibly early stages and requires no treatment at this time, and the lung issue may never require treatment. The doctor told her as long as she can do what she wants, when she wants, with no problems, there's nothing to worry about. The doctors will be monitoring the RA going forward, but there's nothing to be worried about.
Thanks you to everyone who expressed their concern and sympathy to me. I hadn't really realized what a load I was feeling until she told me the good news. I appreciate each and every one of you.
