Good morning, pretties.

FI and I did more work on the cornhole set last night and we are SO CLOSE to being finished. Hopefully by tonight they'll be done!! I might make him finish those on his own today/tonight because I have a few other projects I want to work on. We spent a few hours working on our table assignments last night, and didn't really get anywhere, but this morning while driving to work I had a moment of inspiration and figured it ALL OUT. I'm SO happy. Now I just need to hope that my guest list doesn't change and mess up all my work - we're still waiting on a few RSVP's, but we think we know what they will be.

Today I plan on giving the final numbers to a few different vendors, so that I can pay off some balances and check more things off my list. I want all the big things to be done before this weekend, so I can spend the next week and a half after that doing fun little projects.

Now, where is the FF button for the rest of this week?

So yesterday we had our Anatomy Scan!!! Unfortunately I can't tell everyone what we are having because I'm surprising @Labro on Saturday with the sex of Baby Peach. The scan went really well though, the baby was crossing their arms and moving their legs up and down. It was the cutest thing. They were definitely not shy either....they spread their legs wide open so we saw it all lol.

We go back for another scan in 4 weeks because the tech couldn't see all the parts of the heart. The baby was moving around so much that the tech wasn't able to find the aorta and one other part. The tech said everything looks good though so no worries.

Last night we put in our washer and dryer and plan on selling the old ones. The previous owner left their laundry room a disaster so I cleaned it up a lot. I also found $1 under the old washing machine lol. Boom Shakalaka!

im writing this post from the bathroom (TMI? sorry not sorry) because i am having UTI symtpoms and the only place i am comfortable is on the toilet. once in awhile i will get these symptoms and they go away after an hour or two (usually if i am dehydrated and/or have been drinking a lot of alcohol), but ive had some irritation for about a week and a few times last week it was pretty bad pain but went away after an hour or 2....but i decided its time to go to the doctors and get this checked out once and for all. i dont like going to the doctors because im on a high deductible health plan so it will probably cost me a couple hundred dollars and id hate to spend that if its nothing. the silver lining is i get to WFH today!

I HAVE A JOB INTERVIEW TODAYYYY!!!! For those who didn't catch my post on yesterday's thread, I got a call on Sunday from my local Sephora, they had a few questions for me and once I answered them, they asked me to come in for an interview! I am not eligable for an official manager position because of my current availability, which I set up because of the long long operating hours that Starbucks has, so I would be willing to completely open my availability if they will consider me for a management position. The position I will be interviewing for as of right now is a keyholder-type, which is like my current job in that it deals with a lot of cash handling, and I asked if the pay was similar and the lady on the phone said yes, so we will see. If I do get the job, I will probably still work at Starbucks part time because I love the health insurance and it is super SUPER cheap. I am more excited than nervous.

My grades have been suffering the last couple weeks, I am just not really focused on school right now which is bad. I think I am just stressed and preoccupied and need to get back into the swing of things. Also I have been working a lot of really early mornings which really hits my productivity. Working 5am to 1:30 sounds great until I can barely keep my eyes open in front of my laptop! And doing that 3 or 4 days a week is really not good for me. I'm doing more closes this week so I'll be able to be more productive before I go to work, which should help me a lot.

I miss BF between work, school, his fencing, my friends being in town, he and I have been seeing less of each other the last couple weeks. I haven't seen him since Thursday which is not that long, I know, but I only see him a couple days a week so our time together is precious and I don't like sacrificing it even when my BFF is in town or he has a huge national tournament he is competing in. It just sucks and I can't wait to be living together

@Jenjen047 Eeek I'm so sorry. UTI's are so uncomfortable. I've had two before and one was painful and the other I had no idea until I went to my regular gyno appt and she said they found bacteria in my urine from a UTI. I would definitely go to the doctor though because those things can only get worse!

@southernpeach89 unfortunately ive had my fair share and once it turned into a kidney infection before i caught it so i definitely know how bad it can be. im so so so good about peeing after sex to prevent them, and i havent had one in years.

the most awkward part of this is trying to tell my boss why i am WFH today (hes a guy). i dont want to say i am sick because its not like i have a cold where you can tell i am sick.....and i dont want him to think i am lying. but i dont want to say its for a "lady problem" bc thats awkward....thoughts???

I actually woke up feeling well rested this morning, it's nice.  I made one of my favorite dinners last night and I have leftovers too for dinner tonight.  I'm hoping today goes by quickly I'm not in the mood for work at all.  Life is actually pretty boring, I work go home, make dinner do a few things around the house and then study.  My allergies are still the worst too.  I've sneezed almost 20 times already this morning.  I just want to fast forward to Friday.  I'm looking forward to the weekend.

@jenjen047 Hmmm...that's difficult lol. I would just say you're not feeling well because technically you're really not feeling well because UTI infection. Then say you may need to visit the doctor. What do you think about that?

@jenjen047 ugh yea get to the doctors soon so you can get the medicine and start feeling better ASAP! I used to get UTIs pretty often and they're awful. Mine always progressed pretty quickly so I had to get meds right away and I was usually bleeding. Just terrible. ETA: I agree with @southernpeach89, just say you're not feeling well. That's the truth. I had to leave work because of a UTI before and my boss is a guy. I just went in and said "Um, I'm not feeling well, I need to leave right now". He was like Ok! They don't want to ask questions lol

@southernpeach89 I can't wait until @labro finds out the sex so the rest of us can!

My stomach is in knots this morning. I'm constantly thinking of the hundred things I need to do that don't involve doing my actual job. I emailed my hair/makeup girl yesterday and she's looking for someone else to help her on the wedding day so please everyone cross their fingers that she finds someone!!

Last night I went to try on my dress before me and FI went to dinner. I thought it would be quick but of course it wasn't. His mom made a suggestion about the alterations and got me all confused. I have a hard enough time making decisions. So I'm going to go back on Friday when my mom is in town so she can give her opinion and then I'll decide so his cousin can do whatever needs to be done to the bottom. She's also sewing in a little padding in the cups area. Then it's done!

@lavenderfields13 - im sorry you are feeling overwhelmed. my only advice would be to make a list so you can prioritize and stay organized, but im sure you already have a list.

@Labro hahahaha! That will be the best bag of poop ever! Maddux's bags of poop are always brown (sometimes with pieces of stick included lol) so pink or blue pooop will be really entertaining.

Good morning, everyone!

It's my birthday! H and I will probably go out for dinner to celebrate.

Yesterday we bought/rented a shit-ton of odor reducing and eliminating products, new litter, new box, Litter Genies, etc. for H's cat. The good news is the area around the box no longer smells and he used the new box and litter last night. Fingers crossed that this cat is now done being a butt!

Morning, lovelies! Not a whole lot going on here. OH I'm lying! I'm getting my hairs did tonight! Right now I'm 95% natural mousey brown but after tonight, I'll be back to blonde I'm keeping the length but getting it trimmed and freshened up.

Today is my last day of work! I'll only be here this morning, then I have an interview at noon (it's actually a second interview. I didn't talk about the first one much.) and then I'm getting a bikini wax at 2pm. I think I'm most nervous for the wax, if I'm being honest. Then I'll go home & finish packing, and be ready to go when FI gets home from work at 6pm! We'll drive to CT tonight, and get started with wedding shenanigans tomorrow!! AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! 

I'll try to check in while I'm gone, but I can't make any promises. I'll make sure at least @swazzle and @hummingbird125 keep you all posted

I'm back from the beach! It was fun, although we didn't get in as much beach time or seafood eating as I would've liked. My uncle and his family aren't big beach or seafood eaters, so oh well I guess. Just means I need to take another trip soon!

This morning I had my house cleaned because I'm a big, fat, lazy bum. Whatever, I love that it took them an hour and a half to clean what usually takes me all day. No plans today other than I need to grocery shop and prepare for some friends to come visit us on Thursday.

@jenjen047 - I only ever got UTIs with one particular bf. He also happened to be the only BF who was uncircumsized. It wasn't until a couple years later that I made the connection. Those things were MFing painful.

Tonight I need to unpack my suitcase from last weekend's trip, and then 'clean' the house because the housekeeper comes tomorrow. Tomorrow our counters are getting measured for our new granite. I cannot wait. (Though I think the actual installation won't be for another three weeks).

DH put in for 12 jobs in Phoenix. He only thinks he's competitive for maybe five of them, but it only takes one. At the earliest, we'd hear in late June, but most likely in late July/early August.

My sister and BIL (and the kids!) are coming to visit this weekend. Should be a fun one!

I got my new FitBit, and it's awesome! The heart rate monitor and calorie estimator seem to be pretty accurate based on what my polar watch said while I was working out, so I'm happy. I'm still on the fence about the pedometer, but I don't read too much into that aspect of it anyway. I really like the app with all the pretty graphs. 

I worked out last night for 50 minutes and then this morning for an hour. I'm listening to the Girl on the Train audiobook, and it started getting good this morning, so I accidentally worked out longer than planned lol. I really need to play around with my eating schedule... it's been a long time since I last worked out this much, so I forgot what I ate and when I ate it to properly fuel my body. Last night after my workout I was VERY hangry and exhausted. I could feel my body crashing HARD. I passed out by 9:30 and was not the nicest person ever to FI. Oops.

Not too much else to report today. FI will likely be working late the majority of the week, which really sucks. I'm not able to WFH this week because we have our big annual conference tomorrow and Thursday, but the company provides lunch those days, so I'm not too pouty about it. The yarn for my next HP scarf came in yesterday, so I'll probably start that sometime this week. I'm hoping to finish it in a month or so because I want to make a few more scarves as Christmas presents this year... but I'm the slowest knitter ever, so we'll see. 

OK, signing off for a bit so that I can get through some emails before my weekly department meeting this morning. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

I wanted to AW my gorgeous peonies! I have three blooms right now so I might go cut myself a bouquet and enjoy them inside. They smell so wonderful!

My time is limited at the moment, so I read what all you ladies wrote, but no time!!

I feel a little tired today - I haven't decided it's from crappy sleep, allergies or stress (or all of the above).  I ordered a new 'free personal item' bag for my weekend trip.  We're flying Spirit and they have weird regulations and such on their sizes - I haven't heard too many nice things about them, but I guess we'll find out for ourselves.

Something about just having a wedding wipes you out ... my birthday is my favorite holiday and I don't care how self-centered that makes me sound, and I didn't even realize it was coming until about 10 days ago. @jenjen047 - That kind of stuff is the worst! You've gotta push liquids, but going to the bathroom hurts. It's not fair! I hope you feel better soon!.... Also, it's not your boss's business to ask specifics. You just say you're sick, and that's all they're supposed to know unless it's going to turn into some serious time away. A manager at my company got in huge trouble because she forced people to describe exactly why they were leaving any time they put in a vacation/sick leave request, and the rest of the department could read all about so-and-so's gyno appointment, or so-and-so's terribly upset stomach.

Good morning ladies! I slept well and went for a lovely walk in the rain this morning.

For BF's birthday last night I made steak and broccolini. He is almost always in charge of cooking the meat, but since I was in charge this time I ACTUALLY got to eat a medium rare steak! He always thinks it looks unsafe and cooks it a little more, until it's basically well done. Then we ate cheesecake, and he loved is custom sign I had made for him on Etsy. It was a nice night.

I thought I'd also give an update on my laser hair removal. I had my first session a couple of weeks ago, on my underarms and a modified brazilian (I left a little). She's expecting it will take 5-6 sessions, but HOLY CRAPOLY, I can already tell a huge difference! If I never have to suffer another waxing (not saying you shouldn't enjoy yourself @GoldenPenguin ) it will be worth every stinking penny. Plus it didn't hurt at all. I'm just so excited, and I wish time would fly forward so I could get to the end product already!
