What's going on? What's new? For some reason the CC board looks weird to me. 

Anyway, I'm back! 

The honeymoon was so fun and amazing We had a few extra days off work once we got home, so we planted our vegetable and herb gardens, I worked on our flower bed, we decided to start a rose garden for the hell of it, I learned how to make bread by hand, also made butter, and now I'm reading up on how to make home-made mozzarella. 

Except today I'm back at work. Boo! 

I missed you knotties!

haha! 

We were on the Amalfi Coast in Italy  

We did a lot of eating, drinking, shopping, sight-seeing, walking, lying by the pool, sleeping,... adult things.. . 

We walked down an entire mountain to the sea on these little narrow steps through people's houses that have been there hundreds of years and used to be the only transportation around the towns, so that was awesome and exhausting. I was glad we did the walk cuz there's so many amazing things we wouldn't have seen otherwise. 

On the way back to the airport we stopped in Pompeii for a day to see the ruins. Also awesome! But omg the food.

Lol! I didn't notice. We took a bunch of photos of paintings, though, because I didn't know there were any so I was really fascinated. I'll have to go back through and look for giant penises

1. I was obsessed with Weird Al when I was a kid and definitely had that song memorized. 

2. Yes, I'm so glad you knotties talked me into it! DH is great to fly with (we've taken lots of trips together but always drove, so this is the first time I've been on a plane with him). Take-offs are the scariest part for me, because it's like now there's no turning back! But he said he loves take-offs the most cuz it's like a roller-coaster, so he got really excited and started making rocket noises lol. It made it way less scary. Plus he held my hand. So I didn't have any major freak-outs or panic attacks or anything! Yay!

I went to Pompei 8 years ago and I though the giant penises we hilarious and culturally amazing.

Well, I saw the giant penis.  It is on a fresco of the demi-god Priapus, near the front door of an upper class dwelling. 



The Romans regarded this as a symbol of power, fertility, and good luck.  They also had sculptures of male genetalia over their outer doors for good luck.  They didn't share our Puritanical attitudes.
The museum in Naples has a special section that used to be open to men only.  It features all kinds of erotic art found in Pompeii.  Didn't do anything for me.

I did! flutteringinfl critiqued mine for me so I felt way better about it. DH's vows were amazing! So sweet. Everyone was crying during his. Mine were more typical me-- jackassery. So people laughed. I mean I wasn't up there doing slapstick but I was being honest. (Started out by saying I do not promise to obey). 

People keep telling us how awesome our vows were and asking for copies, but really DH's blew mine out of the water!

there is a lot more than just one giant penis. They are everywhere, you just have to look for them

I went to TK jail for about 10 minutes! Literally. There's a "jail."

In my circle, it seems like some people go to Israel, a lot go to Ireland, and a ton go to Rome. I've only done the first one, and planned on maybe doing the others, but honestly your trip sounds like it might be more interesting than just straight-up being in Rome for a while.
