How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? Tinder! I had zero interest in it until a friend convinced me I could just spend my down time at work judging strangers and a week later I went on my first date, and that was that.

How long have you been on TK? Beginning of this year. I was having a small freak-out because NONE of this comes intuitively to me, and a friend directed me to Snarky Brides. I've mostly lurked because I have comment anxiety.

    Any pets? Not YET...

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? Read. Read more. Read other things. Cook and eat and travel. Then read about cooking, eating and traveling.

What would be your dream job? Something that would let me combine the above interests, in any configuration.

What's your favorite food? If I gun-to-my-head had to pick, maybe linguine alle vongole? But I wouldn't want to live in a world where I had to choose.

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? Yes please. Also, hot sauce!

Anything else? I don't care about flowers. THERE! I said it! I just don't! They're pretty, and all, but I don't care!

I smirked at both of these, because I'm the same.  None of this wedding stuff is natural for me AT ALL.  I'm thankful for my MOH who is keeping me on track.  And yeah, the flowers, like, they're pretty but who really cares.  I probably won't remember what they look like until I see pictures later.  My aunt is doing my flowers (she's a pro florist) and I think she's getting frustrated with me because I'm not giving her any direction... I picked some colors I like, and I did tell her I like dahlias and "those berry things" and told her to take it from there.

Legit almost word for word what I told my florist.  I visited 4 before I booked one because everyone wanted exact details but the one I booked liked creative freedom and was geeked about using my little direction and her creativity.  She also ended up doing most of our ceremony decor and it was awesome!  I just didn't see the big deal in the flowers because I'd see them that day and then they'd die.

How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? We met through friends. My HS friend went to college with his HS friend.

How long have you been on TK? Almost a year? I joined a while before H and I got engaged because I liked saving pictures. But I didn't start on the forums until I started really planning last summer.

Any pets? No :( But we keep saying this is the summer of puppy. We just bought a house with a fenced yard, so I think a puppy is near in our future

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? I like to read and craft. Watch a lot of tv. H keeps getting me hooked on computer games.

What would be your dream job? No idea. I'm a technical writer and I rather enjoy it. Of course independently wealthy would be awesome.

What's your favorite food? Noodles in all varities, pad thai, lo mein, pasta. It's all good.

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? All of the above. And ranch and bbq sauce. I love condiments.

Anything else? We closed on our house about a week ago. We're working on moving in and I want to be at home doing house stuff so much right now.

What would be your dream job?  I think a travel tour guide would be an amazing job to have.

What's your favorite food? Ben & Jerry's Phish Food.

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? Don't really use condiments. Eat most foods plain, burgers, hotdogs, baked potatoes.

    I'll play!

How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? At work! Kind of like Grey's anatomy but much less scandalous, since we barely interact professionally (huge hospital, different departments).

How long have you been on TK? Since we got engaged, almost a year? Initially mostly lurked, now that we're getting closer to the wedding, have posted occasionally and received lots of great feedback.

Any pets? No... we're not really pet people. I like other peoples' pets though.

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? Run, work out, read, museums, travel. And good TV!

What would be your dream job? I'm very lucky - I think my job is my dream job... I could never imagine doing anything else. Obviously its not all sunshine and rainbows but I love it.

What's your favorite food? Tough, I love many foods...But if I really had to pick one cuisine it would be Thai.

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? Ketchup all the way. Although sometimes I like to bring out the European and eat fries with mayo, just because.

Anything else? To all of you sci fi fans out there, check out Neal Stephenson's latest book, Seveneves - I'm really enjoying it!

    - The stars, like dust, encircle me in living mists of light. And all of space I seem to see in one vast burst of sight.

I was a tour guide for quite some time and I absolutely loved it. It was odd considering I am such an introvert but I enjoyed it!! If I had gotten to travel during that time as well....ugh I wouldn't have left that job.

How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? Tinder. I know, it's crazy, but it's true.

How long have you been on TK?   I think I signed up under a different name early 2014, but restarted after getting engaged in April.

Any pets? No, but it's my life goal to get a corgi named Humphrey.

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? I love to read, plan, cook, workout... FI and I watch a lot of Netflix and take a lot of walks/hikes

What would be your dream job?  I don't really know. I'm starting grad school in the fall to get my MS in math, so something math related probably. I would LOVE to be a SAHM when the time comes :)

What's your favorite food? Potatoes! I love all kinds of potatoes.

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? Mayo! The night of my college graduation, I was at a bar where they had catered Subway and I got my friend to buy me a drink for eating a packet of mayo.

Anything else? The top item on my bucket list is to visit every continent at least once. So far, I've been to North America, Australia, Africa, and Europe, and I'm planning to hit the last three when my future husband and I can use his flight benefits (he's a pilot).

Any pets? Yes. We have a 9 year old Puggle named Lady, and an 8 month old orange tabby kitten named Buddy.

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? watch TV ( mainly WE, HGTV and Netflix), shop, go out with girlfriends, and occasionally gamble. (I'm overdue for a trip to Atlantic City.)

    Ooo I wanna play!

How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? In 2007 we went to a class together that was cancelled because neither of us had checked our email. About 4 months later we started dating when school started again in the fall! We dated all through school, moved in together after school, and in August 2013 he proposed. August 30, 2013 we closed on our house, and August 30, 2014 we got married!

How long have you been on TK? I want to say since a few months after I got engaged, so like November 2013 or something like that?

Any pets? I wish we could have a dog, but DH is allergic to literally everything.

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? watch TV, play on the computer, and I'm starting to get back into video editing. I also cross stitch when someone in my family is expecting a baby.

What would be your dream job? I'm not sure. I enjoy being an electrical engineer though!

What's your favorite food? sushi, definitely. Maybe I'll try and convince DH we should get sushi for dinner since we have no food in the house.

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? Sriracha! I like condiments to a point- mayo needs to be very little, ketchup is a must on some things but not everything- I had an ex who would put it on everything. Chicken nuggets require sweet and sour or barbecue sauce though!

Anything else? We just got back from a 2 week trip in China. It was a bus tour that included a Yangtze River Cruise. (We were only a few hours ahead of that boat that sank last week). We went with 13 of DH's family members- our bus had 29 people all together and we were 15 of them. We live 4 hours from his family and 2 hours from mine, so usually family time is limited to weekends- and I generally like that. By the end of the trip I couldn't wait to get back home! Now I'm home and I'm super jet lagged and I'm trying not to fall back asleep until bed time so I can go to work tomorrow!

How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? Through work, though we didn't start dating until we moved on to new jobs. Since then we've been together since October 2011, got engaged in September 2013, and became common law this month.

How long have you been on TK? A couple of years or more- (I used to go by Papillon in the Community, but I had to reset my account after I forgot all my login deets and my reset email is no more since we moved haha)

Any pets? We adopted a dog last Fall; She's a 1 y.o GSD/Corgi mix (Mom's a Shepherd, Dad's the Corgi- she was surrendered because the owner wasn't home often enough to care for her)

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? Photography- mostly landscapes

What would be your dream job? I'm living the dream right now- balancing teaching with kickstarting a small photo business

What's your favorite food? Rold Gold Pretzels and Starbucks S'mores Frappuccinos

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? Ketchup (but only on a couple of foods)

Anything else? We had been planning on getting married August 2016, but since I have a new job coming up in the fall and the school board offered to reimburse our relocation and benefits if we are legally married by then, we are speeding things up and getting married next month (we have all the major details worked out to make this happen, luckily!)

How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? We met at a Bar... but through mutual friends. We were both invited out for a night of drinks with the same group of people. I had actually just gotten out of a long-term relationship and was intending to "stay single and work on myself," but just couldn't think of a good enough reason to say no to a date. We've been inseparable since that 1st date!

How long have you been on TK? I actually joined about 4 years ago (according to the badge things) when the aforementioned LTR and I were talking marriage. So I've been a long time lurker, but just started getting involved as it hit the 1 year mark to my wedding, even though we got engaged about 7 months before that.

Any pets? We have my wonderful hedgehog, Harper, and we have a ball python named Nancy. I never thought I'd be the type if person to own a snake, but she came with FI and she's pretty chill. Which is good since they live like 30 years and she's like 4.

Favourite thing to do in your spare time? I volunteer a lot, and I also love reading. I'm an avid sports fan- mostly the NHL, CFL, & NFL. Right now though (probably like lots of you) my biggest spare time activity is wedding planning.

What would be your dream job? Close friends & family joke that I will be the Prime Minister one day... ha! But honestly I'm not sure which direction I would like to go in. I do love government (which is the sector I work in). But the dream? Maybe the Ambassador at the High Commission of Canada in Australia. That sounds pretty neat.

What's your favourite food? Probably Kraft Dinner (Canadian Brand name of Mac & Cheese), or any kind of pasta. mmmmm

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? I am a ketchup fiend, but I love Mayo on French Fries.

Anything else? Fi and I moved to a new city about a year ago to pursue an intern opportunity for me. It turned into a permanent position and it seems like we are here for the foreseeable future. I get teased a lot for being so far ahead in wedding planning (since our wedding is 11 months from today), buuttt having the wedding to occupy me really helps with coping with being so far away from friends and family, especially when FI is working 12 hr shifts! As a result, I will probably become a regular here pretty quickly... fun to read everyone's little quizzes!

How did you meet your FI/DH/DW? At a bar in Mid-City, New Orleans.  It was love at first sight!  No shit.  We've been together ever since.

How long have you been on TK? I think Dec. 2014, a month after getting engaged.

Any pets? No.  Same as PPs.  I'm not a pet person but I love other people's pets.  I travel too much to manage the responsibility. DH wants a dog but it will be far in the future.

Favorite thing to do in your spare time? What spare time?!  I do love to run, I live for the beach and the ocean, love to go on vacations, hike, cook, browse farmer's markets on weekends, and party with my friends in my favorite city, New Orleans.  I also love fishing, deep sea & inshore and these days, I browse & chat on TheKnot. :)

What would be your dream job?  I think I have my dream job.  It's challenging, contributes to public health, pays well with benefits, and gives me a lot of flexibility and travel.  Ultimately, I would love to raise capital for start-up biotechs but it's too risky for us right now, having just gotten married and planning a family.

What's your favorite food? Easy.  My mom's spaghetti and meatballs.  The true "gravy" or "Sunday Sauce", depending on where you're from.

And of course, the ever-important condiment question. Mayo, mustard, ketchup...? Hot sauce!!!  And lemon juice.  Oh, and I put chili flakes on EVERYTHING

Anything else? I love connecting people.  Our wedding was 11 days ago and I was thrilled to see two friends who met at our wedding hanging out together on FB a few days later.

Also, this is a random story: DH and I met in Nola in 2013.  Turns out we were best friends with a set of brothers totally independent of one another.  I met my friend, A, in Miami in 2005.  DH met his friend, B, in Philly in 2007.  We've been close with A & B ever since we met them & realized we had a set of brothers in common at a fundraiser I threw in NYC where DH met friend A, and realized he was the brother of his friend, B.  It was an incredibly small world moment when you think about all the cities we all had to live to have made this happen!
