FRIDAY!!!!

Slow work day so I figured I would start the Friday thread!

I had to come into work early today since I have to make up an hour of work because I had a doctor's appointment smack dab in the middle of the day on Wednesday. I don't want to use PTO so I figured I would just work a half hour early on Thursday and Friday. I can't really do anything work-related until 8am, so I've been staring at my phone for the past 40 minutes.

Tonight I have nothing planned, I might catch up on some DVR or Netflix. I have to fold laundry so I'm going to do that tonight.

Tomorrow if the weather is nice, I'll go in the pool and hang out outside. I feel like summer is halfway over already and I haven't done much of anything in regards to the pool! I'll see if H's friends want to come over with the kids and use the pool too since I'll probably get bored. I might go shopping for a outdoor rug or something to put by the pool ladder so that your feet don't get all gross when you get out of the pool. I'll be happy with astro turf at this point, I don't care.

Sunday, H and I are going furniture shopping for a new sectional. He found out he gets a discount with a furniture store in the area so at least we won't be paying full price if we do pick something.

Yay Friday!!!

This week has actually gone by sort of fast for me...it has just been so busy.

So Yesterday we took Maddux to the vet because he didn't sleep the night before and wouldn't relax. It looked like it was almost painful for him to lay down so we were really worried that something might be wrong with him. He was his normal self in the morning but just really sluggish. He ate his breakfast and went to the bathroom so I knew those weren't the issues but he still didn't look comfortable when he sat down.

When we got to the vet, he was trying to be playing with the other dogs and kitties so I knew he was feeling ok but his tail was looking really awkward and almost looked broken which explains why he wasn't comfortable sitting or laying. We got into the vet's office and he immediately looks at Maddux's tail and says he has Limber Tail. I asked what it was and he said google it. The definition is Excessive Use of Tail. LOL. My vet was laughing at me because I was so worried but he said it happens all the time with retrievers and that it should go away in a couple days.

Poor Maddux just wags his tail too much. lol. This would happen to my dog.

@southernpeach89 I'm laughing at my desk over Maddux's diagnosis! I've never heard of that before, I guess he's a happy dog!

@buddysmom80 LOL! I guess so. The vet told me it's the equivalent of a sprained ankle for a human. It just looks so strange...because only half his tail is wagging. It was a lot better this morning but we need to keep him rested before he starts playing with other dogs again.

Morning and happy Friday! 

H and I went to dinner for his birthday last night but I didn't feel great so we weren't out very long. He really enjoyed his meal and had a couple drinks and (for the first time ever?) I was his DD! I barely ate my dinner so I'm excited to have the leftovers for lunch today! 

I had a ton of plans for this weekend but I haven't been feeling well all week so I'm not going to any of it. I feel bad but what are ya gonna do. 

Tonight I think H and I will grill and have an early night since he works on Saturdays. 

Tomorrow I'm doing ALL the laundry and I'm thinking of starting OITNB. When H gets home, we'll take Lucy to the park to run around and maybe finally go play tennis. The Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig Lifetime movie comes on at 8 and I am dying to see it so H and I are going to get some snacky foods and have a movie night LOL

Sunday it's supposed to rain so I might suggest a movie date during the day or else we'll just lounge and get stuff done around the house and then True Detective comes back that night!

Hey all and HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

I had an awesome night last night. I went to the gym and worked out harder than I have since before the wedding. When I got home, I handled an Etsy order, and then I made sorta-Philly-cheesesteaks for dinner, which were delicious. After that, H and I (btw, I still start to type "FI" every time and have to change it) walked up to our local pub for trivia. As always, we thought we were doing really well and didn't even come in the top four. We had a great time though! When we got back, we spent about 30 minutes in the kitchen talking about our wedding, and playing our ceremony songs. It was kinda adorable. I went to bed around 11:30 and I clearly remember him joining me not too much later. This morning, he woke me up at about 5:15am asking me "What happened?" Apparently he woke up "face down" on the couch. He thinks he sleepwalked out there or something. Odd.

We have nothing planned for tonight or tomorrow, except maybe picking up our new table and chairs, potentially opening a joint bank account, and starting our "thank you" cards. Sunday we're driving out to LI for a Father's Day BBQ at my mom's house!

Tonight I think BF and I are going to swing by my grandma's house. I am having a Norwex party next week and she can't make it so she wants to place an outside order. Last night I took Tessie for a walk/run. Every time I tried to run she would go and then stop to smell something so I want to try to get her to stop stopping LOL so we might try again tonight! Then we will probably come home and crash. 

Tomorrow BF will be up early and out by 6 am. He is in a fishing tournament with the guys from his work so he will be gone all day. I will clean up around the house and most likely sleep late! Then that night I am going to see the Monster Trucks with my cousin and her son. That should be fun!

Sunday we will finish what needs to be done around the house and then go to my Parents for Father's Day dinner around 1:30. We will probably hang out there for a bit and then come back home. Nothing else crazy planned for Sunday.

Man, it's been a crazy week at work, hoping today is slower.  I've been reading all the NEY posts and trying to keep up.

Nessie seems to be doing better.  I talked to her groomer and her groomer said she was laying down more than normal and she had to wash Nessie's head twice, so she might have gotten water in Nessie's ear.  She also said she never shaved her as much as she did this time and she's seen dogs react oddly to being shaved down before (Nessie is a very particular dog, so this might be the case).  She's drinking fine, she's able to check out Loki's bowl to make sure he didn't leave any food behind just fine, but her bowl she seems to want lifted up higher still - I've just been having her lay down and eat though.  Hopefully she's 100% back to normal soon (it's only when she eats her food does she act weird).

Tonight we have arena football.

Saturday - I don't know what we have planned.  We have to drop off some more documents to the lending officer guy to see how much house/land we can afford (not sure if we'll do this on Saturday or not).  H wants to see a movie, so maybe Jurrassic World?

Sunday - We will go to H's parents for Father's Day.

Happy Friday!

I'm hoping for cloud cover today - cloud cover will limit our potential for severe storms. I'm going to do homework for my class today because I'm about two weeks behind thanks to my dissertation. Tonight is for gaming for H and knitting for me. I also have to remember to put the Father's Day cards in the mail so they're not obscenely late.

Tomorrow will be housework, but what kind will depend on how much rain we get today. If we get tons of rain, indoor work only, and honestly I wouldn't mind. Indoors is kind of out of control cluttery again.

Sunday we're spending Father's Day with my family. My dad's grilling, but I don't know what at this point (he probably doesn't either). My DB and his FI will be there - she just got a job (her first post-college job), so we're all really excited for her.

@southernpeach89 - That really is a thing???  Poor Maddux.  Cricket had a good vet visit yesterday, too.  She's just got a case of bronchitis, so we've got her on 10 days of antibiotics and a cough suppressant so she can sleep and relax.  Poor baby girl!!!  I'm so glad it's not that dreaded canine flu.

@Swazzle - Can you share your mason jar link again?  I lost it and I wanted to look at doing something similar this weekend.

@Dignity100 - I hope Nessie starts feeling better ASAP.

@KeptInStitches - I'll be thinking no-severe-storm thoughts today for you.  Hopefully some extra good thoughts from your bad-weather friend in OK will help?!?

I AM SO PUMPED IT IS FRIIIIIIIDAY.  I only have to work 3.25 hours today, but I might work a little more and earn towards next week.  I came in late (7:30) after having a nice breakfast and a cup of coffee at the house.

I am back at my pre-thyroidectomy weight!!!  I am so excited.  I wasn't sure if my body would ever go back to normal... even my doctor said not to be disappointed if I couldn't get my body to go back down.  Now I just want to get those last 5 or 10 pounds, but even if I don't, I'll be happy just because most of my clothes fit now.  

Today H and I are going to this awesome, magical pizza place for lunch and then I'm going to talk him into taking me by the little cupcake shop next door.  I'm going to pick up a couple steaks in case we decide to grill something tonight.

Tomorrow evening we're doing Japanese hibachi for Father's Day with my family.  I need to weed the garden because it's AWFUL.  I think there's a soccer game that H wants to watch (either Mexico or Argentina, I dunno).  My weekend isn't very exciting but I'm okay with that.

I am ready for the weekend. Today is our 7th anniversary of the day we met. Tonight we're going to a Single A baseball game in town with some of my co-workers. Tomorrow I have Crossfit in the morning and then we have nothing planned until our anniversary dinner at night. It will be nice to just relax, maybe nap, etc. We have no plans Sunday either... yay us!

Morning everyone!

Not a lot on my table for the weekend. Today I am studying and I work tonight, and tomorrow is all about rechecking my homework, handing it in, and taking my microeconomics final. There is SO MUCH material to cover and no study guide so I'm PRAYING that I do well and can finish the class with a B.

Sunday I am working in the morning but afterwards we will be going to dinner to celebrate Fathers Day with BF's dad. I gotta get a gift still, I've been SO bad about that this year. I don't even know what he'd like. I'll wait till Sunday to think or else that will distract me when I need to be focused lol

@buddysmom80, @TwoDimes - Omg it looks SO ridiculous! It's called A Deadly Adoption and a girl from the fake 90210 is in it (I totally watched that show and loved her on it, no shame). I can't tell if it's supposed to be a spoof/comedy or a drama. I set it up on my DVR in case I wasn't home and it said comedy but the Lifetime website says drama. It's on at 8 tomorrow night! @caseface5 - A while back, I tried to make Lucy my running partner and it was about just as successful as your run last night! Plus she is LAZY.

@swazzle I've known BF's dad for over five years and I NEVER know what to get him. My dad's easy, if its music or art related he will love it, but this year me surprising them for Thanksgiving is the gift for all occasions for the whole family lol

Hey y'all, just paid off 2 out of my 4 hospital bills!  Woo-hoo!!  The other 2 should be paid off by the end of summer at this rate.  Can't wait to get rid of those stupid bills... then I can really forget about the tumor and all that mess.  So exciting to get rid of that debt.

I am so tired but so glad it's Friday.  The week went by pretty fast though which is good.  H has hockey tonight so I'm going to head to the mall after work to find some clothes that actually fit me better.  I'm so tempted to stop by the creperie place for dinner, but I should probably be good and eat the veggies I have at home.  I also need to pick up a small gift for H for father's day since he got me a small gift for mother's day.

Tomorrow we get to pick up our 1 year wedding anniversary cake from our wedding cake baker. For $25 they make us a fresh cake for the 1 year anniversary.  We ordered the chocolate cake with fudge and peanut butter filling.  I can't wait to eat it, it was so good on our wedding day.  On Sunday we are meeting my family for dinner for Father's Day.  Otherwise I am just studying meanwhile, less than 5 weeks to go now!

 I'm really hoping H is motivated to get stuff done around the house this weekend, whether it's yard work and putting down grass over the old walk way or doing touch ups and painting trim in the nursery.  We will see though.  I just want somethings to start getting done our to-do list is rather long.

BF and i are at my parents house on the South Shore (@caseface5 - i think we are in your neck of the woods......). i am WFH today and we are cooking dinner for my dad tonight. tomorrow BF is golfing with my dad and we are having a giant BBQ with family and friends. i am so excited to eat and drink ALL THE THINGS. sunday BF has gaelic football so we are leaving here early for him to get to his game.

@CocoBellaF I don't know if I have shared any yet. I think I shared my stroller and car seat. I picked out a crib for us to get hopefully this month. DH's mom offered to buy it for us as a gift! Which is so awesome! This is what it looks like:

We have a book shelf already in there and we have the bedding that we bought a few weeks ago. I can't remember if I AW'd that or not. We aren't really going with a theme but I'll probably stick with Dark Wood furniture and a light pink/ light blue color scheme. I really like the soft baby colors and maybe hints of dark brown.

I have a day from hell today.  I did not sleep well (and it wasn't Rajah's fault).  I just kept waking up in cold sweats.  And now I have to explain really complicated legal documents that are new to me.  Going to be rough.  Thank God for coffee.  

I've got Spin class this afternoon and I plan on walking the 5 miles home tonight.  I am FINALLY down in weight again guys (4lb this week) after AF got me up 3lb in water weight last week.  So just 1lb net but I'll take it.  I have a Dr appointment at the end of the month with a "lady bits" doctor (not with the same Dr who told me to lose weight if I wanted to get KU) but I've lost 16-17lb since that last appointment several months ago so I'm pretty damn proud of that.  I'm hoping this doctor is nicer than the last.  

Saturday I plan on walking at least 4-5 miles.  I think H and I might hit up an art fair then garden some.  Sunday will likely involve going to Home Depot, grilling and chilling.    Lazy weekend, yes?

@minskat30 - Great job on the weight loss with AF!!  I had sweats all last night too...  I'm just coming off my period.  I think we're right at the same time in our cycles right now!  I always get sweats during AF.
