I think it's very odd to post the photos on Facebook.  I wouldn't be opposed to someone taking photos, though.  I remember my great-grandfather died, who I think I only met once when I was very young, and my grandmother had a photo of him in the coffin and sent it to my mom so we could see it.  She said we could send it back if we wanted.  This was years ago before digital or in the very early years of digital.
