FWP

1)   It's been raining a lot lately.  Finally today it was sunny.  Forecast 0% chance of showers.  I went ahead and washed my clothes and hung them out to dry in the sun.    A huge ass cloud just popped up over the mountain.  I had to run upstairs to the deck to bring the clothes inside.    Why... oh Why?  I love clothes that have been dried in the sun.

2)   Today I'm making a lot of phone calls and have to leave a lot of messages.  If I'm not coughing, then it seems my voice is cracking when I'm trying to talk.

Anyone else have any FWP?

Re: FWP

  • I sent out my wedding invitations on Monday.  I had weighed them here at my office so I had the correct postage for the weight, it was a pretty vintage tulip in black and white.  I get to the post office and they tell me I need extra postage because it has to be hand cancelled... I thought I could just pay a fee.  Fine, not a big deal, it was only like $25.  But the stamps are these cranky looking penguins.  On my wedding invitation.

  • I returned a gorgeous short sleeve work blouse from StitchFix earlier this week because my company had a no exposed tattoo policy and I have a half sleeve. Email comes out from the CEO today saying that they will let employees have visible tattoos and piercings - kicking myself now for not keeping that shirt (not that I needed to spend the money....)

I can commiserate - my invites had American Flag forever stamps and my thank you cards had Spider Man. I would've preferred cranky penguins - at least penguins are cute!

    1. It's finally not 90+ degrees and humid and I can't justify having the A/C running

    2. My fiancé and I are going on a trip to Upstate NY this weekend for his nephew's birthday. I have to get everything packed up and ready to go for us to leave early Friday morning, but I have zero desire to do any of it.

  • This week is soooooo slow and boring at work because everyone else is on vacation and no one needs anything from me. And the TK boards aren't exciting enough to keep me entertained. And it's only Wednesday. Wah wah wah.
  • @ericasm0703 Where in Upstate NY are you going?
  • It's been super hot for a week so the office AC has been on full blast. It's about 15 degrees colder outside today than average and the AC won't stop kicking in for some reason and I am flipping freezing.

  • And the brief shower is over.  Back upstairs to put the laundry outside again.

  • FWP: I picked up a chocolate bar that has cookie dough in it and it's awful.
  • H is meeting with friends after work, so I'm on my own for dinner.  I decided I will pick up pizza and my FWP is I don't know what kind of pizza I want!

I think mine were Christmas stamps (sent out in late March or maybe April).  I can't say I pay attention to the stamps on invitations I receive and figured people would do the same.  Although if I got one with penguins or spiderman I'd think it was great

hahaha, this is my favorite FWP. I love Lifetime movies and I have done the same thing- they are all so similar!

  • I bought groceries during my lunch break and had a few cold items. So not only did I have to load groceries into my car, I had to unload them into my office refrigerator, and will have to load them back into my car and then into the house.

Oh yeah, I totally acknowledge that nobody will even care what the stamp looks like.  And, I'm glad I didn't spend the money to do custom stamps like my MOH tried to convince me to do...cause then the penguins would have really ruined it haha!

Those definitely are some cranky looking penguins.
  • I called yesterday to cancel cable they told me that I have to bring the old cable card I used to have for my TiVo, which I have not used in over 2 years, into the office before they can cancel.  My car was in the shop yesterday afternoon so I couldn't bring it right then when I was on a bender about cancelling.  Then I saw a couple of hours later there was a shooting right by the cable office yesterday afternoon because a few of my facebook friends knew the guy who was killed.

Now I'm wavering on bringing them in...

Yeah, there have been 7 shootings in my city now since June 28 - it's crazy!  This one was about a block away from one of my ex's rental houses, too.

I guess the FWP is being cranky about bringing in the equipment and actually being cable-free!

  • Last night I really wanted the triple dipper from Applebee's, I got online to order it and had to talk myself out of it because I JUST went grocery shopping and need to eat the fresh food while it's still good. It was painful.

  • It's fucking cold here today too.  And it was ok this morning, so I biked in to the train.  Well it was pouring out when I got back, so I took the bus home.  Anyway, I went to Tim's (in my warm car with heated seats cranked) to get soup for lunch and they didn't have cream of broccoli (but I could get turkey wild rice instead, so it's ok) but they didn't give me a spoon, knife or butter (for the bun), so I had to get out of my damn car in the rain to go inside to get it.  Good thing I also ordered a cookie to alleviate my pain and suffering

  • I was looking forward to eating my lunch today but discovered that they brought in yummy Middle Eastern goodies to the office so I ate that. I ate early and now I'm eating part of the lunch I packed. 2 lunches is not a good idea.

After taking a 10 day course of antibiotics, I definitely know how your dog feels. I believe I had the wild itchy look on my face too.
