I called yesterday to cancel cable they told me that I have to bring the old cable card I used to have for my TiVo, which I have not used in over 2 years, into the office before they can cancel.  My car was in the shop yesterday afternoon so I couldn't bring it right then when I was on a bender about cancelling.  Then I saw a couple of hours later there was a shooting right by the cable office yesterday afternoon because a few of my facebook friends knew the guy who was killed.

Holy cow! That is CRAZY.. another thing to add to my list for why in 6 years FI and I have never had any form of cable TV. I'll stick to my rabbit ears!

Yea, because there are always shootings outside of cable company offices.

I dunno... In my experience the always put the cable offices in the sketchiest parts of town. I try to avoid going there at all costs. But that's probably mostly because the lines are horrendous and filled with people taking forever asking stupid questions.



I also always seem to hear of friends having their bills increased for unknown reasons, getting double billed, being on hold for hours to fix it and getting the run around, taking months to cancel even when they are out of contract.. just all seems like a hassle to me!

So now I actually get double billed for the internet... they took the cable off the bill and put a new Internet charge so my amount due went UP 20 DOLLARS! I hate this company!!!
