Morning ladies!  I thought it was Friday this morning so I'm not thankful for that but the sun is shinning and we are *almost* to the weekend.  

-What are you thankful for today? 

-What do you wish people would thank you more for?

-Plans for the weekend (part of me still thinks its Friday, ok)?

-I'm thankful for our health today (H, me and Rajah)...I'm also thankful for H generally.  He cracks me up every day.  I love that he can make me laugh no matter what is going on in life.  I'm also thankful that I got no less than TWO complements from work colleagues about my weight loss!  

-I feel like H is pretty good at thanking me most of the time (and I him) but I do a lot of the small things around the house (cleaning, picking up) so I could sometimes use a little more thanking with those things.

-H and I (and family) are grading around our house on Saturday so we will be hauling dirt and mulch.  I expect I will throw out my back because I can't lift a shovel without doing so half the time.  We will then sooth our woes by going out for a drink at our favorite dive bar.  Sunday will be walking for both of us (its become our Sunday thing to walk at least 6-8 miles) and there is an air show going on so maybe we will catch some of that.

-What are you thankful for today? Everything! Got my husband, both of our health, good jobs, what more could I want?!

 

-What do you wish people would thank you more for? I honestly can't think of anything. My bosses tell me I'm doing great, DH always thanks me for things like cooking dinner, my friend thanked me 4 times for the birthday gift I just got her.

 

-Plans for the weekend? Saturday evening I have a BBQ. It's  kind of sad but my friend's dad passed away in June. He was retired down in Mexico so they didn't send his body home for a burial or wake or anything. So this BBQ is a casual "get together, laugh, cry, share stories, say goodbye" to him.

Morning!

-Today I'm thankful for H. I've spent the past 2 days looking at our wedding pictures and just seeing the emotions on his face and in his eyes- seeing how much he loves me makes me so happy

-I'm a pretty lax supervisor so I wish my team would be more thankful for that- sometimes I think they take for granted how easy going I am about things

-Friday after work I will most likely be doing nothing as usual. Saturday morning I'm going for a walk with my friend and then later on that afternoon I'm going to my cousins for a small little cookout with family. Sunday I'll probably be relaxing with H on the couch!

@jenna8984 - I'm sorry about your friend's Dad.  Hopefully its more laughing than crying on Saturday.

Today is actually my Friday so I'm very thankful for that. I wanted to stay in bed so bad this morning too. 

I'm thankful for DH and how much he has been helping me around the house this summer. I seriously couldn't have done all this without him. He does this plus working, and doing school. He is a secret super hero.

Everyone who I usually do things for are pretty good about sending out some thank you's. I think there have only been a couple times where I sat there and wondered why I never received a thank you but it's pretty rare. Sometimes I wish my boss would thank me more for things but w/e, I can't expect too much from her on that.

PLANS FOR THE WEEKEND:

So since my weekend starts tonight, I plan on doing some grocery shopping and cleaning around the house since we have guests coming for dinner tomorrow.  

Friday I plan to go buy a couple new dresses for our maternity shoot this weekend and also for my showers next month. Then tomorrow night I have some friends coming over for dinner. I'm making Parmesan Pesto tilapia with fresh green beans and caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars for dessert.

Saturday morning we are doing our Maternity Shoot. I'm a little nervous because I haven't really liked how I've looked in photos but I have full confidence that our photographer will take great pictures! 

Sunday I'm going over to my mom's house to work on some crafting projects. She is throwing a baby shower next weekend and asked me for help with some of the things she wanted to use for decorations so I'm going to help her with some things.

So as I've been saying lately, we have received some curtain swatches to look over and choose from for the nursery. I've narrowed it down to three out of the many swatches that have been sent. Let me know which ones you like the most:

-What are you thankful for today? I'm thankful that it is summer and I don't have to wear a zillion pieces of clothing to keep warm.  I'm also thankful that I love my new job, even if it is mentally exhausting right now.

-What do you wish people would thank you more for?  Bella should thank me for throwing the ball for her every time I do laundry/make the bed/breathe.

-Plans for the weekend (part of me still thinks its Friday, ok)?  Friday night is a game night with some friends.  Saturday we're rehearsing a song that we're singing for a wedding next weekend.  I plan to sleep a lot and work in the yard, too.

@minskat Wow 6-8 miles is a great walk! I wish DH and I did that every week. It has just been sooo hot outside! Maybe in the fall we will take the baby out for early morning or nightly walks.

@jenna8984 I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's dad. I hope that this BBQ will be a beautiful time in remembrance of him.

@southernpeach89 - I like your #1 pick and the polka dots.  And I absolutely adore the quilt!!!!

ETA:  Also, Bella is queen of the house.  She thinks it is our duty to throw the ball for her.  I can't even get a snuggle out of her most days!!  I think she forgets who gives her kibble and fills her water bowl.

@southernpeach89 - First of all, you are going to look amazing in your photo shoot because, duh, you look amazing.  AW some pictures pretty please.  Second of all, I love the second swatch (your #1 pic) the best honestly.  The first seems a little too bright for me?  The quilt though!!!  Its to die for.  Where did you get it?  

@CocoBellaF - Raj just stares at me when I throw a ball half the time.  I swear if he could talk he'd ask me what is wrong with me for throwing it.

-What are you thankful for today? 

I'm thankful that my sugar challenge is over today. I'm thankful for my general health. I'm thankful that today is my Friday, just like SouthernPeach!

-What do you wish people would thank you more for?

I feel like DH is good about thanking me when I do something above and beyond. I'm waitin gon a couple thank you for gifts I've sent, but that's about it.

-Plans for the weekend?

Tomorrow, I'm golfing in a memorial tournament for one of my co-workers brothers. The weather is supposed to be perfect so it should be a great, relaxing day.

Saturday, my Crossfit box is having a potluck to hang out and watch the Games. Should be another beautiful day.

Sunday we have no plans, which means laundry, grocery shopping, and hanging out.

-What are you thankful for today? 

It is GORGEOUS outside. Perfect temperature, low humidity, and sun. So I'm thankful for that (even though I won't actually get to enjoy any of it)

I'm thankful for books. I've been reading a lot lately and it makes me happy.

I wish people would thank me more for all the amazingness I bring to this world, obviously.

BIG plans! EXCITING plans! Tomorrow after work, I'll probably stop at the grocery store, clean up the house, and get the guest rooms ready. On Saturday, @beanbot2002, Sak, @hummingbird125 will arrive early-ish. We're going to my favorite local Mexican restaurant for guac and margs and then I don't even know what we're doing for the rest of the day, actually. We're going to BBQ at my house Saturday night and we'll probably drink and play CAH. On Sunday, @hummingbird125 is leaving us and @beanbot2002, Sak, and I are driving north to @GoldenPenguin's. We're visiting DB to pick out our bridesmaid's dresses for @beanbot2002's wedding (!!!!!) and then when we're done @Labro will be arriving! I'm SO excited to meet her! We'll probably eat, drink, and be merry for the rest of the day/night. On Monday, we'll drive back to my house and I'll cry. If we get back early enough, I've been tossing around the idea of taking myself to the beach since I took off work anyway. Is it Friday at 5pm YET?!

-What are you thankful for today? I'm thankful that I don't have to work this weekend so FI and I can go camping. I'm thankful that our systems went down yesterday so I got paid to read Game of Thrones for two hours.

-What do you wish people would thank you more for? I feel like the people in my life are pretty good at thanking me for the things I do for them.

-Plans for the weekend (part of me still thinks its Friday, ok)? Camping! Woo! I'm excited to get out again. And we are going to a new spot which is always fun.

-What are you thankful for today? my wonderful FI (who thanks me a lot for the things i do for him, for us, around the house, and for just being in his life), that everything is straightened out with the STDs, and that today is my FRIDAY!

-What do you wish people would thank you more for? FI thanks me plenty, but id never turn down extra thanks for cleaning the toilet. 

-Plans for the weekend (part of me still thinks its Friday, ok)? FI has been on the cape since Tuesday for work so tonight im heading down there to meet up with him. since his job is paying for the hotel, i figured why not. he will be working most of the weekend but i can still see him a little bit and enjoy the beach and pool when hes at work. i want to read the 2 books i have checked out (including the one i mentioned that ive had checked out since may) and go for a run every day! 

STD update (that sounds weird to type haha): i got a refund from Etsy of $15 of the $25 deposit i gave her. i found a beautiful save the date on minted (LINK) and ordered it last night and approved the proof this morning! i was even able to add a line at the bottom with our wedding website on it. 

they should arrive next thursday and all we have to do is put stamps and drop them in the mail. wooo!!!! i also like knowing that minted does recipient addressing. it really narrows down our options for picking invitations, which is helpful. too many options = overload. 

my other plan for this weekend is to look at photographer/videographer and florist options to start narrowing those down. yay!

@cu97tiger That's a really good idea! I'll have to ask the lady designing our curtains if she could do that. She probably can. I'll see what she says.

I just thought of 2 more things I'm thankful for!  I'm thankful that my nails still look awesome after my mani on Tuesday.  Normally by now the polish is starting to chip because I'm hard on my nails, but they are still so pretty.  I'm also thankful that Cricket is staying with us for a week starting Sunday!

Also, PSA for anyone out there who donates blood, do not:

1) donate blood after work one day

2) go to Crossfit/start a hard workout the next morning.... ESPECIALLY not on an empty stomach

I still have a little bit of tunnel vision and had to stop the workout after about 8 minutes because I felt like I was going to throw up. NOT the best way to start your morning!

@cu97tiger - how did the sugar challenge go? ETA: eek!! yeah, not a wise choice re: donating blood and working out/not eating!! hope you are all better soon! good for you for donating blood, though. i cant donate again until March since i was in Mexico this past March. 

@swazzle - sounds like an awesome weekend! so jealous of all your NEY time!!!

@bethsmiles - wow thats awesome that you got paid to read GoT yesterday. but do you have a ton of work to catch up on now?

@jenjen047 - Fortunately, I don't have too much to catch up on. I just had to come in half an hour early this morning and balance things in the computer. It was slow yesterday so we didn't have too many people come in during the outage.

Eeeek @cu97tiger - not good.  I feel bad that I don't really donate blood now.  H and I go to India about every year/year and a half and that usually disqualifies me given where we visit.  Good for you for doing it but I hope you feel better soon!

@jenjen047 - It really wasn't too bad. Days 5 and 6 I had a headache, almost like a hangover. If anything, it's taught me that my desire for Coke or chocolate is purely mental, and that I have the ability to skip it more often than not. With that said, there is a delicious brownie sitting on my desk that I'm about to take a bit of in 3...2...1...

@twodimes - I love the polka dot vase!!! If you want to get rid of some of those when your wedding is over... let me know!

@minskat30 - I have no idea why I'm so religious about it (I give 4-5 times per year). I figure that means someday I'll have some crazy need for a ton of blood, or someone in my family will. Luckily, I'm usually fine within 24 hours, so I'm happy to give. DH can't stand needles to the vein, so he's definitely NOT going to do it

@southernpeach89 - What would look even better is if the polka dot pattern was a white background with the pink polka dots!

@cocobellaf - im with you on being thankful for my nails. i got shellac on 7/11 and so far its holding up really well! if i get 10 days out of shellac im happy, 2 weeks im thrilled, and anything more is a miracle.

@minskat30 Ugh I thought it was Friday too, even dressed a little more casual like I do on most Fridays. Realized it was Thursday as I was walking to my car, and ran back into the house to put on a suit.  

@cu97tiger not good at all. Hope you feel better ASAP.  Try to get a lot of rest today, and drink a lot of fluids.

-What are you thankful for today?  I'm thankful for my bf for putting up with my bad attitude last night.  I had a migraine and was miserable, so he kept doing anything just to get me to smile.  And when I said I felt nauseous he carried me to the bathroom.  

Also, because of my mood I made a snarky comment last night that made him laugh - so thankful that he appreciates my bitchiness.  *snarky comment -- a bunch of girls were posting pictures of flowers and saying how they have the best significant other ever, and without thinking I said "Well, my bf built me a house."

-What do you wish people would thank you more for? I'm an officer administrator, so really would just like people to appreciate everything I do that they take for granted.  My boss at least thanks me. 

-Plans for the weekend (part of me still thinks its Friday, ok)? Tomorrow we may be moving the rest of the furniture into the house! Saturday I have a bridal shower for one of my girlfriends.  I'm so excited for her gift. I hate just buying things off a registry and prefer more sentimental gifts.  So I got her the knife set she registered for and then a custom carving board with their names and wedding date engraved on it.  Sunday is the surprise but not a surprise party for my dad; not looking forward to that, but at least all my siblings will be there.

What are you thankful for today?

Hmm .... I'm thankful for easy mistakes that can be quickly fixed, good health, my job, hassle-less wedding planning for the most part, and my family.

What do you wish people would thank you more for?

The things I do. Sometimes I do things and they go unnoticed. I don't do it for recognition, but it'd be nice to have some.

Well Friday is Matt's bachelor party, so my friend/bridesmaid is coming over for dinner. We'll prob watch a movie and chit chat.
Saturday I'm doing brunch with my aunt and nana - possibly Matt, depending how hung over he is. Then another friend is crashing at my place because SUNDAY IS MY BACHELORETTE! We're doing breakfast and nails. I'm excited just to see them!!

Oh and this weekend I'll probably get stuff somewhat ready for the night before with all of them. We'll prob do snacks, movies, face masks {i'm getting 2 diff kinds} and giving their goodie bags.

Otherwise .... not a lot. This is my last non-married weekend hahaha !

That I am married and was able to have plenty of time off with my husband afterwards!

-What do you wish people would thank you more for?

I wish parents were more appreciative of teachers that stay after school with their children or give extra help in other ways.

Friday we will most likely get take out and catch up on our DVR shows, Saturday I will probably go to the beach and I need to get my nails done. Sunday is my friend's wedding. After that I don't think I have another wedding until the fall. 

I'm so glad to be back guys!!!! I know, I know I need to AW and I missed a lot going on with you guys. @swazzle how are the blue apron meals? My H says he will try a week and just eat chicken nuggets after if it's not filling enough (we always have a 5 lb bag around). @twodimes OMG are you freaking out?! @jenjen047 did you find a venue yet? or still searching? AND how was the boston gtg? I have so many questions.
