Wacky Wednesday

So it's Wednesday but today is actually my Friday. I have to use all the rest of my vacation before my maternity leave so this week I'm taking Thursday and Friday off.

What's something wacky that has happened to you lately? It can be funny or embarrassing.

Yesterday when I was picking up Maddux from my parent's house on my way home from work, he goosed me and I was wearing a dress. He did this right in front of my Dad and basically lifted up my entire dress with his nose. Yea...didn't really want my Dad to see what color underwear I was wearing that day. Oh well...

Don't have too much going on today, tonight I'm making crab stuffed tilapia. It's a new recipe so hopefully it turns out yummy! I'm also putting together our Pack n Play and High Chair. Last night I put together the baby swing and it's so cute! I love it!

Thursday I need to take Maddux to the vet to get some shots and his nails clipped. They are out of control and we might give him a good scrubbing since he is stinky too.

Friday I'm meeting some friends in downtown ATL for dinner. It's a bunch of high school friends so I'm excited to catch up.

This weekend I really need to start on our freezer meals so we can have lots of stored food for when Callie arrives. Hopefully I can get a lot done this weekend. Then Sunday is our last birthing class! Whoop! Besides that I just plan on organizing the nursery more and cleaning. OH!!! I finished the mirror I was refinishing! It looks great! I'm actually kind of proud of myself. I used this Pearl White spray paint and it makes it look nice and pretty and soft vs the ugly gold that was on it. I'll AW it with the nursery later on.

So I don't want to talk about cheer everyday, but I am a little frustrated so I am going to vent. My cousin's FI posted something on FB a while back asking about music for their wedding. A friend of hers posted that he does cheer music and he would help her. I messaged him to see if he could do our music. He told me that he does the first for free and all I need to do is send the songs. So I sent them a while back. He got back to me a few weeks ago saying he was hospitalized and apologized for the wait but said he was going to be working on it.

Two weeks ago he said one of the songs was giving him a hard time, so I sent him a new song and he told me he would have a rough copy to me by last Monday. Now over a week has gone by and I haven't heard anything. I messaged him yesterday to check in and it's been silent since. It's all on FB messenger so I can tell he hasn't seen the message from yesterday but I am still frustrated. I know he is doing it as a favor, but I need music ASAP so if I don't hear from him I am going to have to buy music. I don't mind doing that, I just don't want him to come back and send me the one we originally worked on and like it better then one I might potentially pay for. UGH.

That's my "wackiness" today. Not really Wacky, but totally WACK! HAHA

Um I don't know that anyting wacky has happened to me, I can't think of anything! Maybe this- H & I went to the beach a few weeks ago and on the ride home my bikini top was digging into my neck and just bothering me so H was like take it off! So I rode the whole hour home topless. He claimed that the truck was high enough and tinted enough that people couldn't see me- not sure if that was the case or not lol.

I have spent the last 3 days looking at cars online and now I'm excited because I decided on one. But I can't buy until we close on the house in 2.5 weeks because they tell you not to take out any new credit during the process.

Last night, I FT'ed with @GoldenPenguin and texted with her and @speakeasy14 during PLL. I think I actually really enjoyed the episode and the Big A Reveal now that I'm looking back on it. 

H's new tattoo is on the top of his lower arm and he's getting close to finishing the full sleeve. For those that wanted pics:

Tonight, I'll get home around 6:30, cook dinner (or we may go out) then Big Brother at 8. I don't have a whole lot going on at all this week. I'm going to start a packing list and a shopping list for my trip and this weekend I might even start packing. We officially fly out in 2 weeks from tomorrow but 2 weeks from today, we'll be leaving home and staying at a hotel closer to the airport I can't believe how freakin' soon it is!

ETA: I can't think of anything wacky that's happened to me lately!

@southernpeach89 - The crab stuffed tilapia sounds fantastic.  A few weeks ago, H and I had some crab stuffed giant scallops at a restaurant.  They were FABULOUS.

I am crazy nauseous today.  It's been this way for almost 2 weeks.  BLAH BLAH BLAH.

My MIL is still here.  She liked what I made for dinner last night, so that's a win.

Not much new here, just have a lot of work to get through, have to pay bills, figure out our insurance situation, go to the gym, cancel H's gym membership (he doesn't really go that often in the summer), and a billion other things...lol.    I'm just excited the inspector signed off on the basement!  Still makes me happy.  

Wacky?  Hmmm, I got bit by something mysterious over the weekend and its been hellishly itchy (my feet and legs).  At first I thought it was spiders but I doubt it based on the number of bites.  I'm thinking maybe ants outside or fleas outside?  I keep Rajah free of them so I know he isn't the culprit...its a mystery but the itchness is finally dying down.

@caseface5 Do you have a number for him? I'd honestly give him a call or text instead of FB messenger and just tell him what you told us. Your season is starting and you need the music before x date. If he won't have it in time that's ok, but please let you know so you can acquire some elsewhere.

@minskat30 Remind what all you did in your basement and why? I know you had to replace your electrical box, didn't you redo your bathroom too? Why haven't you AW'd???

Hmmmmm....wacky stuff. I've got nothin' today. It's just a boring regular Wednesday for me. A friend gave me a small pot of orchids for my desk so I'm researching how to care for them. I may need to take them to my home office though since I don't get any real sunlight in my cube.  Anyone else have any tips and tricks? I've heard orchids are notoriously picky about water and light and if you don't do it right they won't bloom.

@jenna8984 Sometimes it just feels good to let it all hang out lol. I would definitely giggle at myself knowing we were driving down the road half naked.

I hit a deadlift PR this morning, so I'm feeling good and strong. Three more days of work until vacation! Tonight we'll be doing laundry and starting to set aside some things to pack. My MIL comes into town tomorrow, so I don't want to leave too much stuff for after that.

DH is working from home today, so he's going to come have lunch with me. I love seeing him in the middle of the day. Plus, I haven't eaten lunch the past two days, so this will ensure that I actually get away from my desk.

@cu97tiger I love lunch dates on working days with H. Something about it just really makes the day go by faster and more pleasantly! What's for lunch? Are you feeling better today?

I'm really tired today I need to do a better job of getting to bed earlier tonight. I also need to focus more on studying at night when I am studying.  I always find something else to look at or do.  Nothing wacky is going on today and I hope it stays that way.  I'm ready for 5pm and then bed.  Although H had a late hockey game and I was getting ready for bed, I swore I kept hearing noises in another part of the house and that I kept seeing something or someone out of the corner of my eyes.

@southernpeach89 Jealous of the long weekend. I can't wait to see updated pics of the nursery. 

@minskat30 So glad the basement is done and taken care of.

@cu97tiger - Nope, AF due any time.  Spotting intermittently for 3 days.  Just nausea from progesterone, not surprised since we know I'm sensitive to hormones (PMDD).  It should go away once my period starts, thankfully.  

I saw your PR on FB...  great job!!!!  I wish H and I didn't work 30-45 minutes away from each other...  we would sneak away for lunch dates if we could.  Enjoy your lunch with H today!!

@cu97tiger - I used to love when H could meet me for lunch. Ours was a little different as I don't get a lunch break, but we'd meet at the Mexican place, stand in line and order together and then party ways lol. Not super exciting but I loved seeing his face in the middle of the day

My sister's dog isn't fixed yet, and is going through a bad humping phase.  Last night my sister, my mom, and I were snuggled in bed watched PLL when they guys thought it would be funny to let Bear in.  He immediately jumped on the bed and went to lick each of us.  While he was trying to lick my mom, he started humping me.  The only protection I had was my sister's brand new comforter. 

@cocobellaf definitely get some ginger, it'll help with the nausea.  

@swazzle I'm going to watch it again on Hulu, I still don't know what I think, and I'm not happy with the weird cliff hanger.  Also, his tattoo came out awesome!

@minskat30 so glad you are done with the inspector guy! 

@southernpeach89 can't wait to see Callie's completed nursery!

@caseface5 that is really frustrating. For future reference, I used to make all the cheer music I used. I think the program I used was called Gold wave or something like that.  I don't have that laptop anymore, otherwise I could give you the exact program I used, but it was a free program that I downloaded. 

So last night I watched PLL with my mom and sister while texting @goldenpenguin and @swazzle.  Like I said, I'm not sure what I think right now and need to rewatch it. Last night I was underwhelmed.

I left my sister's to meet my bf at his parents'.  Apparently his parent's had been drinking and I walked in to some kind of fight.  He told me to just jump in the shower so we could leave.  Bathroom fans are amazing for drowning out sound.  I can't wait to pack up the rest of my stuff and not have to stay there anymore.

Today, my boyfriend is picking up a vanity which is the last thing we need for our bathroom to be complete.  So tonight I will be able to shower in my own house!!!!  After work I am going to my mom's to help finish cleaning out the house.  Then to my house to unpack.

@speakeasy14 - Dog humps, yuck!!  When we had Cricket, she was in heat and humped Baxter all the time.  I tried to tell her it was supposed to be the other way around, but I guess when you're horny you'll do whatever it takes!

@speakeasy14 I Lol'd at your "wacky" story. Maddux used to start air humping whenever Cinders got close to him (before he was fixed) and it was the most hilarious thing! He was just too excited to even attempt proper positioning!

Nothing really wacky with us.

Matt's headache subsided with the assistance of codeine and he spent most of yesterday drinking water and sleeping. Rest of the week he's gonna work longer hours to make up for the 2 days he missed.

Made meatloaf cupcakes last night {meatloaf in cupcake tins} and they surprisingly turned out really good! We rarely make meatloaf since I rarely have eggs, but I am beyond wanting french toast so I bought a small pack.

Laundry, vacuuming, general tidying last night.

Tonight we've gotta go to my mum's place. I'm getting a small side dresser from her and I have stuff to drop off. Plus, since I'm seeing my friend D on Thursday for a haircut I can bring the stuff she left from the wedding.

I'll post before and after shots of my hair.

Tonight I'm making french toast. I'll probably tidy up some. I had to dump my current "side table" {which is really just a round box I store sweaters in}

Oh! And we're hopefully getting a new bed frame soon too! I signed up for a tax course and I get reimbursed through work. I would normally just put it right back on my credit card but I really want a new bed.

I feel like this post is all over the place lol sorry!

@Speakeasy14 Thanks for the suggestion! I will try to search it. Also, when we went to Maine, Tessie stayed at a friend's house and they have a boy dog, Bailey. He has this one pillow that he humps and that's all. He will grab the pillow, casually pump a few times, then walk away like it's nothing. It's hilarious to see!

@labro - I know, I need to AW a bunch of stuff.  We put in an entire bathroom downstairs, made half of the basement "liveable space" with drywall, recessed light, etc.  We still haven't put carpet down yet but can finally do that now that we are done with Mr. Inspector and don't have contractors down there all the time.  I promise to AW soon.  I have no advice on orchids...I kill all plants that aren't outside in my garden where nature does half the work for me.  

@cu97tiger - Yeah for lunch dates!  I love it when I can pull those off with H.

@speakeasy14 - Yeah for an almost complete bathroom!!!

@peaseblossom55 - I hear you about getting to bed earlier.  I took a Benadryl for my itchy bites last night and it made me drowsy but not enough to fall asleep without H coming to bed.  I hope you get some sleep tonight.

@CocoBellaF It was so funny because they took the pillow and put it in the corner, and BF saw him go get it and was like "Ah your dog has that pillow!" and they were like well that's his... and then he started doing it. It was a riot!!

@labro I have three orchids, MIL got me into them and they are pretty easy to care for considering I kill most plants. They do need quite a bit of light, I keep them in my kitchen right by the window ledge. I only water mine once a week it depends on the size of the plant how much water you give it.  I also have orchid food I sometimes mix and add into the water but I only do that about once a month.  I thought one of them was dead beacause it had not flowered in 7 months but as long as new leaves keep coming in you should be fine.  I also did a quick read of orchids for dummies too.

@Peaseblossom55 Thanks! Guess that means these are definitely moving to my home office! There's a double window in there and they can sit right in front of it! I have this random vine on my desk at work but it seems to be happy as long as it has water and I didn't I'd be as lucky to have that happen a second time.

@southernpeach89 timing is different but making them is the same (similar to meatballs) They're perfect size for us. I'm not a big eater, so i don't feel like I'm wasting food. Plus if you're big on having them next day, great size for sandwiches

@caseface5 - Awww, that's so hard when someone is doing you a favor because the same rules don't apply as when you're paying them. It's just a shame he's not trying harder to make an impression so you might consider hiring him later.

@swazzle - So they actually told you who A is?!? Ahhh!!! Now I have to watch non-stop until I finish it ALL! Haha

@minskat30- I don't remember what you did over the weekend. Were you at the beach at all? Sand fleas always make me itchy for a few days.

@labro - I put an ice cube in the pot with my orchid every other day. That's about it. It gets a moderate amount of sunlight and seems to be okay. I know others who mist water on theirs every couple of days.

@peaseblossom55 - Those noises must have been creepy!! I hate when stuff like that happens. I was hearing noises yesterday too, but it was the dryer. I just didn't know BF had it running.

@speakeasy14 - Ahhh!!! No!!!! I'm so sorry you got humped. But yay for showers! I messed up with the water service when we first moved in so we had to drive back to the old house to shower in the mornings for a couple of days. Whoops!

@labro - RE: Air humping..... I also do that when I'm excited. No proper positioning needed....

Something wacky that happened lately? On Monday, I got on facebook and noticed that my BF's brother posted a bunch of pictures of his truck. He had just been hit head on and his truck is absolutely totaled with about a third of the front gone. I'm so surprised he still has legs, but he managed to not even need to go in the ambulance. ...... So I'm texting my BF to tell him since he doesn't check FB at work, and right after I sent it, I got a text from my mom saying my sister had just gotten rear ended. She's alright too, but she just had back surgery last year so she's been pretty sore........... Crazy Monday. I was driving suuuuper carefully on the way home.

I got to work 40 minutes early today. Something new decided to piss me off, haha. I wore earplugs again, but that just made me notice that every time BF gets up to turn off one of his billion alarms he pulls the blanket off of me. So I told him to stop doing that, and while I was moving the blanket back, he was sitting down, and I accidentally elbowed him in the face. He claims I did it on purpose (although I'm sure he was mostly asleep). But I got pissed and started my run early. Then got an upset stomach halfway through and had to cut it short. So yay! I get to go home at 3:30 today!
