It's actually my professional "title". It started at work years ago as a joke and stuck when someone published an article about me in the paper and mentioned it. I have been using it on my show for the past 5 years. I'm ornery and like watching stuffy people squirm when they have to use it

When H and I were having huge, serious issues with his mom, I had posted about them here and I was afraid she might come here, so I made a new account. When I first signed up here, it was the beginning of football season (actually around now - H proposed on 8/9) so I picked beardownbchs (bear down bitches) as my name, not even knowing there was a community I'd ever be a part of. I no longer care if my MIL lurks here and sees me bitching about her.

Mostly mine is because I'm an auburn fan and grad. The most popular cheer at football games is called Bottagetta, and there's a line in it that says "weagle, weagle, war damn eagle" and our college radio station is WEGL (keep WEGL weird!). Most of my other handles online are really identifying, so I like wegl being pretty bland.

ETA: I wouldn't notice someones screen name change, but I kind of picture most of you as your signatures. So for some of you that have GIFs I see you as the person in them, when two people have the same actor/actress as a GIF I get confused! ha!

Herbert is awesome!!  I love names like that for hedgies.  And yes, they are prone to cancer.  Winston was almost 5 years old, so he was getting up there.  We noticed it one day when it was a small tumour and within 2 weeks it had spread to about 3/4 of his jaw.  It was very fast, though he was wheeling and eating till the end, so I don't think it bothered him too much

I started out with a UN that I use for Instagram, Twitter, etc so when I randomly posted more I got freaked out if I ever shared more or all my engaged real life peeps would come on here they would identify me so I changed it when I binged watched SOA and was obsessed w the show and now I'm too lazy / uncreative to change it. I also could not for the life of me figure out how to change my avatar. I looked recently and couldn't figure it out. Also couldn't figure out how to add a location. But I managed to figure out a gif signature awhile ago. I'm oddly technicologically incompetent sometimes.

I had to long into the bump to change my avatar (same ID and password as tk) and I asked KR to add my location. You're not alone.

Even though its long to type out I love it because on my screen (don't know if its universal) your name goes over the partition between the screen name and the body of the comment. Makes you look like EVEN MORE of a SS that your screen name can't stay within the borders.

Mine used to be not-so-anonymous, but I changed it once I got a bit more active. Sparkle Pants is a silly nickname we gave our dog once when I was wrapping Christmas gifts with glittery paper and she decided to "help" by laying down on the paper. When she got up, it looked like she was wearing sparkly pants - so, hence the name. Also, 41 is one of my favorite DMB songs.

The numbers are my husband's birthday 8/9/84. I tried to change it to just one number so it would be easier for people to remember/ tag me but all the single and double digits were already taken.

Mine is so boring. I hate having to make up screen names! I just wanted to get goin' on the boards so in a fit of impatience I typed in "thisismynickname." 

I met my husband on Match and trying to figure out a nickname for that was so irritating. I think I put in some variation of RunnerGirl.  And there were, like, 20 versions of "Chi Runner Guy" to choose from in terms of who had a high percentage match with me, haha. ("Chi" is a nickname for Chicago, by the way.)

I originally had a version of my name on here.  Then my sister got engaged and started planning her "wedding" for shortly after mine. I got worried that she would get on here and see me talking crap about her 3-hour gap PPD, so I changed my name to something more anonymous.  Although, if she were on here, she probably wouldn't have had a PPD or a 3-hour gap. (I tried to steer her in the right direction and even told her to come to this forum, but my attempts failed). Anyway, I like Star Wars... My dog is named is Leia. And my wedding was on the 22nd.

I know a while back there was a big group that changed their screen names all at once (me included).  People definitely pay more attention to the signatures and avatars than screen name. When everyone was changing names, you could still figure out who was who as long as those were the same. But, if you change screen name, avatar, and siggy all at one, you might as well be a newbie because nobody will know you.

If someone I knew was on here they would probably figure out who I am since I am Kimmi and Koley is my nickname for my FI.  Luckily, I'm one of the last single girls, as Carrie Bradshaw would say, so I don't foresee that happening:).

I didn't know this until after the nickname stuck but it's also what his grandmother calls his grandfather; they've been married for 65 years, hold hands everywhere they go and he still refers to her as his bride so the nickname is even more endearing now!
