Groomsmen in similar blues as Bridesmaids

Hey guys!

My fiance wants to wear a royal blue suit (like in the picture), but I have always wanted my girls to wear navy dresses. Can they still wear navy if the guys are in royal blue? or should I choose dresses that are a grey tone or off white/ivory. 

Our wedding colours are Blue (navy or royal), an olive green and grey.

I think it's fine, if he wants to wear that and your bridesmaids are in navy as well. My FI wanted red accents with his tux as it's his favorite color and I ended up picking red bridesmaids dresses too. He should feel great that day and love what he's in too!

I personally think Navy and Royal blue are too close together to mix. 

That said, Navy is a neutral and if your husband wants to wear royal blue suit, he can wear a royal blue suit. As long as the shades are different enough (go with a dark navy) it should be fine.

JMHO, but I hate royal blue men's suits.  Waaay to non-traditional.  What's wrong with grey or black?

My honest opinion is that I love blue suits! I think they look classy and modern. Not to take away from @CMGragain 's post/opinion! It just goes to show that everyone had different tastes. If both you and FH think it'll look fine, then I say go with it.

Ah! Makes total sense. Luckily, those are out of style! But fashion just repeats itself so how long do you think before they rear their ugly head again??
