Augusta Jones "Veronica"

Hello fellow knotties!  I am looking for a specific and (apparently) very rarely carried gown.  I found it about six hours from my house and do plan to make the ridiculous drive to try it on.  However, before then, I was wondering if any of you other brides had tried it on?  Or even seen it in real life?  Right now, it feels like the Moby Dick of wedding dresses.

Moby Dick?  What does that mean?  What is the dress?  Picture?

  • Moby Dick is the great white whale in the story that Captain Ahab is searching for.  It was just a joke about not being able to find the dress in real life or pictures of it on a real person.

  • I think the only route to go is to get any information on it like style number, etc and call other bridal shops. I'm not very knowledgeable about wedding dress shopping, but there ya go lol
  • Maybe see if you can try on something similar to it first at a local bridal salon.  If that silhouette/style looks good on you, then go hunting for the Moby Dick 6 hours away :)

  • Thanks Ladies!  My plan is to definitely try on dresses with similar elements and see how I feel about things.  I'm not usually very into clothes but I cannot get this dress out of my head!

  • Allure Bridal makes one that is very similar and it may be easier to find.
