@minskat30 Thanks! I have a feeling I know what the deal is, as least with my BFF. The dog world is full of politics and thats partly the reason my best friend isn't being that great about it. There's not official certification for dog trainers like there are for personal trainers, so there are a bunch of ways to make it a job. The most common way is how I am doing it, learning from a mentor and getting experience that way. There are also expensive online schools that will "certify" you when you finish the programs. My best friend is also a trainer who is being mentored like me, but she thinks certification is a thing and I think she is taking offense because she thinks I am trying to skip steps. Its all really petty and I wish I could talk to her about it but until she does more research on her own and figures out there's no official way to do this, I won't be able to. The reality is in order for me to prove myself as a trainer besides working with other people's dogs, I need a dog to title. But I won't have one until the spring.

I'm just trying to make a not great situation better and experience is experience whether I'm teaching classes for a business or working independently.

@labro for one of my first writing classes in college I made a short children's book about BF and our college friends as heroes and villains and I was a princess, and illustrated it and my teacher LOVED it but now I am embarrassed because I gave it to BF as a parting gift when I moved back home for the summer that first year and his mom found it and now it's a "keepsake" lol

@TwoDimes - I learned so much about life from Finding Nemo. I'm hoping Finding Dory won't spur some sort of early midlife crisis!
