Good morning! 

I had a lovely weekend! 

@GoldenPenguin arrived at my house on Thursday night and we ran some errands, watched Grey's, started AHS Season 1, ate Wawa, and drank wine. 

Friday we spent the day on the couch watching AHS and made it through episode 8. I was so sad we didn't have time to finish it! That night, we drove down to MD and stayed with @lasak. Her house is so gorgeous! 

On Saturday, the 3 of us got prettied up and then headed to VA for @beanbot2002's shower! She looked beautiful, the shower was so nice, and she got some great gifts! After the shower, the 3 of us took @beanbot2002 out for Indian food. It was SO GOOD and we ate way too much. We headed to one of the other BMs houses for the bachelorette party which was a blast. We played silly games and drank pink panty droppers and laughed a LOT. I hope/think she had an amazing time

Yesterday, @GoldenPenguin and I dropped @lasak off at her house and then headed back to NJ. We met my mom, aunts, and grandmom for a birthday lunch for my mom. I was so glad I got to see her on her birthday! @GoldenPenguin had to head home once we got back to my house and I was SO SAD. H and I spent the rest of the night watching TV and I made a HC meal for dinner. We went to bed early because we both had late nights on Saturday. 

Today is mostly the same as usual: work, gym, cook, eat, TV, bed. I hope this week goes by quickly! I already want another weekend!

@Swazzle - Looks like y'all had a ton of fun!!!!

Saturday morning, I did the 5K.  Average time was 9'54".  I was almost last, but oh well... I finished without stopping!!  

There was a lot of cooking at home this weekend.  We spent a lot of money on our trip to the Balloon Fiesta, so I banished us to eat at home for a while.  I did BA Shrimp and Grits and then a Brazilian dinner on Saturday.  Sunday, I did leftover grits and greens with bacon and eggs for breakfast and then made some homemade applesauce with pork chops and green beans for lunch.  Yesterday, I cleaned the house instead of took a nap.

I am SO EXCITING, y'all.

My legs and hips are still sore from the 5K.  Not sure why!  I did some PiYo yesterday to help stretch things out.  Tonight I'm doing weight training and walking the dogs.

P.S. I forgot to add... my parents decided to bring the lake home this weekend.  Saturday night I got a call to come over.  My dad had brought his RV to the house, plugged it in and had a pit fire going in the front yard.  The dogs were all staked out in the front yard and there were chairs to sit in.  So we hung out and roasted hot dogs and sausages over the fire and ended with s'mores.  It was the weirdest thing, but a lot of fun.

No Monday. Thank you.

I finished the blue throw, finished the yellow baby afghan on my needles, and got about 1/3 of a cream baby afghan done. How did I have this much free time? I came down with an horrific head cold, and I know who gave it to me - one of the administrative assistants at work was really sick on Friday and coughed on all of us. Ugh. In fairness, I'm around a lot of people, but she was the most sick person I've been near. I was pretty much couch-bound Sunday. However, Saturday (before I got really sick) H and I were able to go to "The Martian," which is excellent and you need to see if you haven't already.

There wasn't much for gaming Friday night - half the party didn't show up and they ended up breaking early. In short, the weekend was even quieter than usual.

My mom took a brunch-style cooking class (sort of - they mostly fed her and promised to send recipes) which included grits. Help me out here - what does one put on grits? Apparently the cheese mixture they used was really rich.

@cocobellaf good work at the 5k! Last week we ate out a lot, so this week we'll only be doing BA meals or cereal lol

I have a coverage this morning so I am free to do what I want until 9am! 20 more minutes of freedom! So glad I could pop in here for once. This weekend was pretty fun- good mix of relaxing and doing things. On Saturday I lounged, cleaned and hit up the market for lunch things. Saturday night my H and I watched the entourage movie and drank some pumpkin beer. Yummy. 

Sunday I woke up early for breakfast with my friends. Two of them are pregnant and it's so crazy to think that there will be 3 more people at the breakfast table in a few months (yes, one is having TWINS!). I'm just so happy for them! The rest of the day I lounged with my H and we stayed up late to watch the Pats game. They won, so today is even better now that I have my free dunks coffee! 

I'm hoping that the day flies by because I know that I will be tired later. I have to start going to bed at a decent time because 5am is scary.

I drove down to Richmond with the dogs on Friday night. I had a glass of wine and chatted with my sis and BIL. Saturday morning I took the dogs to see my niece and nephew play soccer. They were a total hit with fans and players. My 4 yr old nephew even tried to run off the field to pet them a couple times. It was adorable.

Saturday night I had dinner with an old friend and her husband. We talked for two straight hours about all the people we used to work with and it was a total walk down memory lane. It also reminded me that my life is amazing... some other people are not so lucky.

Sunday I had breakfast with the fam, then drove home. Around 6:15 I finally got my butt off the couch and went for a 5 mile run. It was supposed to be 7, but better than nothing. I'm behind on training, so I need to step it up here in the next few weeks.

Tonight will be bod pod measurements, then BA for dinner and maybe some laundry. Fun fun.

@keptinstitches You just reminded me of the one thing I forgot to do this weekend! I wanted to see The Martian! I'm glad to hear another good review though. I'll have to see if my H wants to see it tomorrow since it's cheap ticket day.

I'm not happy its Monday.  I'm tired from the weekend but it was still fun.  Friday was our usual Indian food and watching TV.  Saturday H and I grocery shopped, went for a 3 mile or so walk, went to the doggie park with Raj and saw a movie (the new Tom Hanks movie....it was really good but more subdued than I expected).  I ate popcorn and H and I watched Saturday Night Live when we got home and had gluten free pizza.  Diet fail.

Sunday I cooked for the week and H and I tackled the outdoors.  I raked leaves, H cleaned the gutters and we were both wiped by the end of it.  We finished off the night with some football watching and I accidentily glutened myself, which sucks big time generally but of course it makes me nervous about the baby (even though I'm sure one time isn't a big deal).  Something that never has gluten in it was made in a plant with gluten product and I didn't read the label right.  I'm kicking myself for that and need to be more careful.  

I also got my passport wet, way to go me!  And my Indian visa is blurred as a result.  I have to call into the place that gives out the visas (hopefully they answer, they never really do) and see if they think its ok.  Otherwise, I need to reapply for a visa, which means a trip to Chicago.  Thankfully its close by.

@minskat30 - I was wondering about that movie. There are ads for it all over my path train station but I hadn't heard much about it beyond that.

UGH I had a terrible week last week (hence being MIA) with finals and work and general miserableness. I passed my Finance class BARELY. It's my first D since I've been in college. I don't feel bad, I am just glad I passed. It's over now and I get to move on to Managerial Accounting. I actually have liked my accounting classes so far so I am not that sad.

This WEEKEND however has been the best! BF and I drove up to Boston on Friday night and got there at 1am, checked into our hotel and promptly passed out, we were both exhausted because we had a busy day before leaving. Saturday, we got up around 9 with no plans for the day, so there was no pressure to be on time anywhere and we got some coffee and ate at Blunch which was surprisingly tiny but there was great food. Then, we tried to walk along the Freedom Trail by ourselves but kept getting lost so we when we got to the Aquarium we too a break at the bar and got some drinks, made a game plan for the evening, and then bought trolley tickets instead of continuing the tour on foot. Which was a good thing because we had covered a lot of ground by then and we were tired so at the trolley stop near where we parked we hopped off and went back to the hotel because I had to quickly finish the paper and he wanted to go to the gym.

After we finished doing our own thing, we went to Salem for dinner and a ghost tour! I wasn't expecting there to be TONS of people and a street fair but I shouldn't have been surprised, it is October after all. We ate corn dogs and went into a few stores, one with Harry Potter stuff which was SO COOL and I bought a Gryffindor hat because it was cold and I had been talking about wanting a hat all day. We also went into this store with a bunch of weird stuff, like incense, sage, WITCH BOOKS. I believe in ghosts and believe magic is real (and scary) so I got really uncomfortable and had to leave even though BF thought I was crazy (he's a skeptic). After that, we started our ghost tour which was so much fun! We had a great tour guide who made great jokes and it was fun. I didn't SEE any ghosts BUT when we were walking a church bell rang only once which was weird because it was 8 at night and a little while later our guide brought us by the church and told us a story about how this guy was pissed at the town sheriff back in the witch trial days and when the sheriff died he dug up the body and dragged it through town at gunpoint and said every time the church bell rings the sheriff would be dragged through town. Also it was 8pm and nobody was in that church. SPOOKY! After the tour we had dinner and drinks at a pub and went back to the hotel where we showered and watched Lord of the Rings until we fell asleep.

Yesterday before we headed home we had brunch at Toro and it was delicious. Then we went on a whale watch! They warned us that the water was really rough and so many people got seasick on the last boat that they had to turn around, but that didn't phase us! We got on with the rest of the group and headed out to sea. It was indeed a rough ride and SO MANY PEOPLE got sick. BF and I don't get seasick so we were fine, but I felt bad for the other passengers. We only saw one whale, a humpback, briefly because it was so windy and crazy, so after looking a little longer we went back. The whole trip was about 3.5 hours long. Anyway, they gave us free tickets for another whale watch in the future that don't expire so another trip to Boston is in order!

@minskat30 Ahh the accidental gluten.  H & I need to do some major yard cleaning but we are both pretty lazy.

I am so incredibly tired it feels like I got no sleep.  It took me awhile to fall asleep but I slept pretty well.  It was so cold this morning and my car was covered in ice.  My weekend was pretty relaxing.  I don't even remember what I did on Friday.  I think H had hockey and I was home getting kitty snuggles and reading. Saturday I went to yoga H ran some errands and we stayed in played video games.

Sunday I went to yoga again, and we watched some football.  H had hockey at night so I watched TWD by myself.  It was really good last night.  I can't wait to get home and snuggle into bed.  One of the meds I'm on to help me get pregnant again is making me so nausea, it's a know side affect but it feels like morning sickness again.  It's pretty annoying.

@peaseblossom55 - I get fake morning sickness every TWW.  IT SUCKS.  Hope you can find something to help!  I keep a stash of ginger ale and ginger candies at work and in my purse for when it hits out of nowhere.

@cocobellaF I have to keep on a low carbs and sugar diet so I try to avoid the extra sugar as much as possible. I was able to survive the last time and am trying to avoid that stuff until I get pregnant again.

@Peaseblossom - Ugh, I hope the nausea goes away. I couldn't stay up for TWD last night but maybe I'll watch today at work because I'm impatient and I don't want to wait for tonight!

Guys, I had SO MUCH FREAKING FUN.

So much so, that I think I'm still hungover. 

I started drinking at 11am and didn't stop until 2:30am the next morning. I was good and paced myself and was never drunk drunk, but definitely had a good buzz going at the end of the evening. My body is just NOT used to that, so I spent the whole day, yesterday, pooping. 

@swazzle @goldenpeguin and @lasak came from OUT OF STATE to see little mexican me?!?!? I have the most amazing friends in the world. I'm so blessed and honored that they love me. I did a shit ton of crying when I hugged people when they got there. There was a ton of emotion wrapped up in the day. Friends of my mom's, Aunts, etc. I'm still crying. My mother was a very humble person and raised us all to be the same, so to have people go all out for me?? Oh man. I was told to sit down several times haha I kept trying to do things.

My BMs went ALL out for me and I will never forget the generosity and love that was shown.

@peaseblossom55 and @cocobellaf - I feel you.  The rolling nausea is no fun.  I think I've mentioned this @peaseblossom55 but I'm so impressed that you can do low carb/low sugar.  It must be hard.  

@swazzle - I feel like almost any Tom Hanks movie is going to be good.  It WAS good, just not as fast paced as I guess I expected it to be?

@keptinstitches ugh I hate when people come to work sick.  There are several people in my office who came in coughing and sneezing, I have lysol and hand sanitizer everywhere.

@untouchablets are you going to have to repeat the course or substitute other credits, or does it count towards your degree?  

@minskat30 ugh hopefully you don't have to redo the entire visa application; the one for India is a pain in the butt.

Friday was fun. My sister had everyone over for dinner.  Even though I told my siblings not to get me anything they showed up with gifts, which was super sweet of them.  My brother got me a pair of slippers and I lived in them all weekend. The sister who was hosting got me a bath & body works set - the scent was pumpkin chai latte.  My youngest sister made me a card from a dish detergent box.  It had the most sarcastic message, I ended up crying from laughing so hard. She basically stated how I would always give her rides or buy things for her, and she would always promise to pay me back but never did; it ended with her telling me to get a pedicure and she'd pay me back.  My mom & step dad got me a bottle of pumpkin spice liquor and Once Upon a Time wine.

Saturday I spent the day scrubbing down the house. It is starting to look like a home and not a construction zone (just need to find a place for all of my bf's tools that are piled in the dining room & second bedroom).  My sister and BIL stopped by and asked if I'd bring Callie over to play with their dog.  Well there dog isn't fixed so he kept trying to hump her and she wanted nothing to do with him.  In fact she spent most of the night hiding behind me.  We agreed no more play dates until he's fixed.

Yesterday I spent the day with my mom.  We went to the outlets and I got a whole new winter work wardrobe from BR.  They were having a huge clearance sale plus the entire store was 40-60% off. It was an additional 40% off clearance, plus an additional 20% total purchase, plus I have a BR bag that gets me an additional 10% off anytime I shop with it.  I got three tops, a pant suit, a blazer, and three additional pairs of dress pants. Today I'm wearing the pant suit and one of the tops. 

I didn't get a chance to get pumpkins and mums, so I'm going to try to do that today.  I bought my bf a power tool carver so he's actually really excited to help me carve pumpkins.  I need ideas on what to carve though.

@speakeasy14 I passed the class so it just brought down my GPA a little. I've had an A average this whole time so that sucks but at least I don't have to retake the class. It was a degree requirement, not an elective.

@minskat30 the low carb thing sucks and I don't eat meat and I'm lactose intolerant.  The lactose intolerance has gotten much better luckily so I can have some cheese now and then.

@speakeasy14 some dogs still hump even though they are fixed, it's a play behavior as well as a *sexytime* behavior lol. If your dog is fixed he could have just wanted to play, but maybe not. My roommate's dogs are both fixed, both males, and hump each other to initiate play all the time.

My weekend was good. Saturday I babysat my 2 nieces ages 20 months and 7 months and it was B-A-N-A-N-A-S. I get there at 5pm and ask what their bedtime is and SIL says "they don't have bedtimes, they just hang out in the living room with us until like 10-11". I'm like oh Jesus, this is not going to go well. So around 8pm I see them both cranky and rubbing their eyes so I'm like this is crazy, these babies need bedtime. So I put them both to sleep and they both scream bloody murder because they aren't used to their cribs. I finally rock them both to sleep. Half hour later baby is crying, which wakes toddler. I change her and rock them both to sleep again. Half hour later, baby is crying again wakes toddler. I feed her and rock them both to sleep again. Half hour later, baby is crying again. I'm like this is crazy. Finally they both seem to sleep by 11pm and my SIL comes home from a wedding at 2am, and I drove the half hour home. SO exhausting!

Today H & I used sick days to hang out together.

@untouchablets ugh I remember my first D in college in Calculus. Awesome time in Boston!! I love the freedom trail, and it's sad I've never been to Salem, I must go lol. Glad you didn't get seasick!

@jenna8984 - Yeah, I'm leaving in less than 3 weeks.  I called the visa center and they said that I need a new one if the old one is even slightly blurred.  Thank God Chicago is nearby (a processing center for Indian visas) and I can always expedite it since H is an Indian national.  Its just a giant PIA.

@untouchablets that's good that you don't have to retake it at least. I'm so used to graduate courses where if you don't get a C or higher you have to retake the course (or be dropped out of the program) which is why I asked if you would have to retake it. Also, Bear played with other dogs perfectly fine until the humping phase started.  Now he latches on to everyone and everything.  We're really hoping that once he's fixed this phase ends.

@jenna8984 omg that is horrible! Babies need a bedtime!  I hope you drank all the wine when you got home.
