Confessions/UO/Irrational Irritations/We Get Its

Confession (I feel like a brat even saying this): I don't want to go to SIL's bridal shower because it will mean spending as much in gas to get there as on H's tux rental for her wedding. Besides, we're going to see her at Thanksgiving less than two weeks later. I'm going to suck it up and go because I know I should, and I'll be gracious and charming (I'm capable of it occasionally).

I don't really know why what I think is such a thing. Everyone on here has opinions/judgments. I don't know why mine seem to cause such a ruckus. This isn't even something I've mentioned recently so I can't tell you who exactly I've been thinking of in the past. @severmilli12 comes to mind most recently because she came back out of nowhere which is great but then she would post 1 paragraph about herself in the daily thread and then not say anything else for days.

Confession: I also enjoy BSC drama and get excited when I see a post that might head that way.

Confession: Last weekend I wore my wedding ring around my mom's house for a few hours. I felt like Charlotte York when she used to wear her ring after her divorce. I can't help myself, which is why I keep it at my mom's house.

I Judge: Couples who think they are ready to get married because they have SOOOO much fun together but haven't addressed any real topics. I have a friend who has been dating someone for 6 months and claims she wants to marry him, yet they haven't discussed whether they are on the same page regarding kids or marriage.

UO: All the dog talk on here can be a bit much sometimes. I have a dog who I love an am plenty obsessed with, but I don't think I've mentioned her more than a handful of times. I like an occasional/especially cute picture, or if there is an emergency going on by all means share, but other than that I'm good. That being said, I don't let it impact my opinion of the offending posters I still love you!

ETA: I do sort of thing of @swazzle as the Queen of NEY....but not in a bad way. She starts all our morning convos and she's been around for a long time.

I also miss you @goldenpenguin. You can be blunt but I find it refreshing and I am dying to meet you.

@alpacina I get where your BF is coming from with your address, but I feel like if you trust us and he trusts you, it shouldn't be an issue. Also I must have missed a thread. Who sent you a package and what was it?

I am so with you ladies EXCEPT for pumpkin spice scones. Bare with me ... there is actual pumpkin in these!! I made them last weekend and they are amazing So ... boo drinks, yay food! I think it's lack of actual pumpkin

I LOVE Saranac pumpkin beer. But I will agree that everything else has too much spice.

I get irrationally irritated when stuff becomes a "thing." Like, pumpkin anything. I love pumpkin, and I'm glad that there are foods and drinks and such, but I do NOT NEED pumpkin spice EVERYTHING ON THE PLANET EARTH. Pumpkin spice m&ms? Stop it, right now.

Fall - I have legitimately ALWAYS loved fall. My WHOLE LIFE. But now it's a "thing" and "basic bitches" and "sure, you love fall L-O-L"

Maine - I hate this one. Great, tourist money, woooo. Maine has ALWAYS been amazing, people. And now it takes me SO MANY MORE HOURS to get home because everyone has to go there for vacation. 

Related - Bean Boots. Fucking hipsters making LL Bean produce millions of hand stitched boots because now they're "trendy." I wore Bean Boots to muck horse stalls as a child, and now I can't afford them because these assholes need to wear them unlaced on the city streets. GTFO.

You should hear "Frosty the Pervert" lol In our place it's "unacceptable xmas songs only" for the most part. "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby is on the "NEVER PLAY THIS SONG EVER" list for emotional reasons.

Confession: I feel like I am drowning with this PMDD.  My doctor is doing everything she can, but I really feel like I am losing it and that I am alone.

Confession: I cry every time I see another pregnancy announcement.  Don't apologize, @minskat30.  I want you to share it here!  It's only that I don't expect it and then all of the sudden, I feel like ice water has been dumped all over me.  This happens several times a week.  I'm sure it's mostly my hormones making me crazy, but still.  I wish that I didn't and I feel so stupid, but I can't help it.  I'm a crier.

II:  The word "bucks" for money.  "Twenty bucks"... ugh, no reason but I hate it!

UO:  I'm not a fan of Halloween, except that I get to pass out candy to kids in cute costumes.

@CocoBellaF - Its virtually impossible for me not to apologize because I know how you feel and this is part of the reason I'm always wondering if I should post any pregnancy updates. I tell you what, I won't apologize for talking about my experiences but I WILL tell you how sorry I am for what you are going through with PMDD and TTC. You aren't alone. We're all here to support you. I might not know what PMDD feels like but the frustration of TTC I know. Cry, vent, scream...whatever it takes, get it out. I wish I could give you a giant hug right now.

@jenjen047 - Because I went to Alaska right after @500days, she sent me a book full of coupons that could be used at a bunch of different cities in Alaska. Unfortunately most of the ones I would have used expired before my trip, but I got a free cookie at a café in Juneau!
