The only thing on that list FI and I have talked about is medical directive/living will stuff but we don't have anything written down and we should probably talk about it more in-depth. It seems like a pretty good list to me, I think a lot of people just don't think to discuss those things.

@jenjen047 - I love those shoes! They are so pretty! Also that's really frustrating about DB. I'm sure everything will work out fine but still who needs any extra stress right? Oh and with giving the photographer a list, we're just going to trust that he knows what is important. He did tell us to give him a list of any details that would be important like a special pin on the bouquet or something like that.

@speakeasy14 - have fun cooking dinner tonight! I'm incapable of making a meal for two so we always have leftovers when I cook

@futuremrshistorian - good luck with your course observation! I hate them, they always make me so nervous!

I want to thank everyone who gave me advice about the bouquet yesterday @labro @Peaseblossom55 @TwoDimes (sorry if I missed someone) I did some more research last night and decided to DIY it, since it will be my only DIY project I don't think it will be too overwhelming and I'm kind of excited about it now.

Today is a pretty boring day, I taught this morning and am at a clients house now. But good news: My boss offered me a third class for next semester which is great because I was really nervous about making ends meet with only 2. Oh and FI and I started working on writing our vows last night along with planning the ceremony and I really love what we've come up with so far.

@jenjen047  ahhh that's what I thought! It's interesting because in Canada you have to have SIN {social insurance number - roughly same idea} in order to do really anything

The whole SSN thing seriously blows. Do you think your HR offers accommodation for foreign spouses going through the process? Have you talked specifically with them about the situation?

@jenjen047 I second @labro I would explain the situation that he's a foreigner and will need time to obtain a SSN. They might have exceptions for that kind of thing. You never know!

@labro @jenna8984 - I asked and they said no. I will ask again after the wedding. It's weird because my company is international so you'd think they'd have a way to deal with this.

@jenjen047 That's seriously bizarre and super shitty. I just can't believe they don't have SOMETHING like a temporary SSN or anything to help with the process.

Does he seriously not have some sort of SSN issued to him already? This is me assuming he is in the US legally and working with some sort of card. Typically they issue SSNs for taxes already.

@labro - He has a visa number and an alien number, neither of which is accepted by HR.
