Where is everyone today? I thought for sure someone would have gotten the daily thread going by now. 

Anyway, I'm in a much better mood today than I was yesterday and I'm going to be an AW yet again because H and I and put the new rug into its place and I love it! 



After getting the living room situated, I made and ate dinner, and then I watched Star Wars for the first time in my life. It was good but Luke is annoying as fuck. 

Tonight, I have to go food shopping and straighten up the house a little since we're having friends stay over tomorrow night. I'm planning on spending part of Saturday making a breakfast casserole and a lunch casserole to bring to work with me next week so I stay on track and save money and I found some yummy recipes from Skinnytaste that I'm going to try out. 

I really hope this day flies by!

Today is finally the start of a new cycle, so yay some new hope.  I was so tired last night I made a quick dinner and spent the rest of the night on the couch.  I was reading and had Mean Girls on in the background for a good laugh, then later I found Guys and Dolls on. 

Today is my Friday, I have off tomorrow.  I just need to run a bunch of errands, including an oil change for my car, grocery shopping, veggie market and a trip to home depot.  H has off too, so we're hoping to finally see Mockingjay as well.  It's just nice to be out of my grumpy mood.  Today is going to be a busy day at work. I just hope it goes by quickly.

@Swazzle - Luke is whiny.  He is my least favorite, but I think most people would agree he gets better as the movies progress.  Did you just watch the first one?

I'm gonna check out the website you posted yesterday cause we need a new rug for the living room and I was thinking about putting one under the table as well since we have hardwoods in the kitchen/dining area now. Also, you can't be talking about yummy casseroles without linking. YOU KNOW THIS! 
And lastly, I'm insanely happy about you finally watching Star Wars. Yes, Luke is a whiny little bitch, but like I said last night...just focus on Hans.

Tonight I need to start putting somethings away in the cabinets. I don't know how much I'm 'allowed' to do since the counter tops aren't in yet. H and I discovered one of the cabinet boxes is slightly crooked and it's preventing the door from closing on its own. It just barely rubs the box, just enough for you to have to push it closed. I guess we'll just have them fix that tomorrow morning when they get there.

Tomorrow is kitchen completion day!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I'm supposed to be getting my first Home Chef meal today, so I'm really hoping that everything goes smoothly tomorrow so I can make this bacon pizza. I am so sick of crock pot meals right now, despite the fact that it does all of the cooking. I want to make some pancakes, and eggs, and casseroles! Three weeks of crockpot chicken and rice is killing me. I'm so glad I learned out to make crock pot mashed taters this week. Too bad it took me this long to find the method, or even realize it could be done.

I'm feeling more positive about the stuff going on with Bean. I scheduled a parent/teacher meeting yesterday (for next Tuesday), and we talked more last night about what he can do to turn things around. We worked on his spanish work that he needs to make up, and he was so upbeat and positive about it. It was reassuring that he's committed to getting it done.

Yesterday we got our first Hello Fresh box and I made seared steak with crispy potatoes and green beans with a shallot pan sauce. It was SO GOOD! Tonight is walnut encrusted salmon. We won't do the boxes on a regular basis, but this was a free trial with HF. Next week we have a free BA box and the another free HF box the week after because our order was delayed a day this week. I'll be sure to hit up NEY for a HC free trial too.

I also got my SS gift!!! I don't know if I am allowed to say who it was from but she knows who she is and I already thanked her separately. It was so sweet!! FI was with me when I opened it and kept saying how cool it was that we all did  this.

This week has been flying, I'm hoping today goes quickly too!

Also here are some pics from my fitting. They aren't the most flattering because I feel like I'm standing weirdly...but I wanted to share them anyways. I'm having the belt sewn in so there won't be a bow in the back.

I had a horrible migraine yesterday so I got home, ate dinner, doused myself in peppermint oil then sat in a steaming hot bath.  Went to bed around 9.  Now I'm researching the resort we're staying at.  So far I'm impressed, and there really aren't any negative reviews other than the beach is rocky. 

My wine delivery shipped out yesterday.  You're supposed to get 4 bottles a month, but you get a free bottle every time someone signs up with your code.  So I'm getting 7 bottles this shipment.  I have my last class  ever tonight and I'm having the shipment go straight to UPS so I'll have to pick it up tomorrow.

Last night course was short because the chapter was short, which was better for me because I had zero attention span!
Went straight to my mum's to go through the box of steeped tea, and I'm glad I did. 2 things are missing, boo! Calling head office today to get that fixed up.

Today is my coworker's bday and my boss and I split on a Kate Spade bag for her. She also brought my bag, which is this but more rounded corners.




I brought cupcakes from "The CupCake Lounge" for lunch time.


Tonight I'm going to see the Nutcracker Ballet with my mum and her friend. Never seen it but I know the story. Should be good!

I'm at the resort for the conference today in Arizona.  My breakfast right now is Jelly Bellies (speaking of which...who likes the popcorn flavor?  Blech, I hate it and I love real popcorn) so I have to find something of substance.  I'm just catching up on work and here between classes.  

My SS gift went out yesterday before I left and its arriving on Friday!!!  I'm excited and hope you like it lady!

Other than that, I got nothing going on today.  I'm going to try to avoid the over-priced spa here but we will see.  The weather here is gorgeous...I'll definitely walk around later today.

Well hello! Last night H helped me put up the tree, only it's somewhat naked so that will have to be remedied soon because I hate having a naked tree! I've been using the same blue and silver ball ornaments for the past few years and I'm tired of them. So hopefully I can find something else this weekend. I'm thinking red and gold this year. I'm also really excited because I MAY have ordered a few things from NY&Co (including this cute coat ----) and I should receive it today!


@swazzle - I love Skinnytaste! There is a blueberry-banana-oatmeal bake that I love to make for breakfasts for the week.

Man, I was in the best mood yesterday all day, and then bam bam bam, three upsetting things within a span of a couple of hours. I went to a work happy hour but ended up not even ordering anything and just going home right away. While BF was working out I locked myself in the bathroom and cried and texted a friend of mine. My dog knew I was upset and cuddled with me and licked my face. And after I got all of that out I felt sooooo much better. And I was in a good mood for the rest of the night. So I'm guessing it was hormones, haha.

We tried a new restaurant near our house that opened. Their specialty is "gourmet" hot dogs and tater tots. Really tasty! But not that filling. And because people on here made me try the adult root beer, I am now addicted so I drank a few of those before going to bed.

Today I am WFH because BF's luggage is supposed to be delivered and I think if he sees the box he'll know what it is, haha.

Hate popcorn. Love juicy pear. And by love, I mean I've definitely been known to buy bulk bags of just the pear flavor. And if I get a mixed container I get super mad at anyone who eats the pear ones. Like, they've personally insulted me.

@alpacina and @beachyone15 - I rarely throw a Jelly Belly out (even the licorice ones) but I just tossed the popcorn flavor ones.  Nasty.  I will say I'm starting to crave certain things with this pregnancy.  Mayo is one of them and I HATE mayo usually.  I still try to pretend it is something else when I put it on sandwiches but it tastes so good for some reason now.  Buttered flavored popcorn Jelly Bellies?  Still a big fat "no."  

@alpacina - I'm sorry yesterday was so difficult.  Are you feeling better today?  Nothing better than puppy kisses to make everything better in my opinion

@beachyone15 love that coat! I'm a big fan of colored peacoats.  I have a cream, black, grey, red, and multicolor... I may also have a coat addiction.

@Swazzle I love the rug! It looks fabulous! and LOL about Luke. He's nothing in comparison to his father, Anakin. I think you'll really love the story after you watch the next two. Empire Strikes Back is probably the best of the whole series, and Return of the Jedi wraps everything up well.

I'm so glad you and Bean had a great night and made lots of progress on his schoolwork. I remember 8th grade being one of the hardest years for me because of ALL the hormones. It's so hard being that age, but you've done a fabulous job with him, and you have a great relationship with him too. He's going to be just fine, I promise.

@jenjen047 Awww your dress is gorgeous (as are you)! The alterations ladies told me to stand like a pageant queen. Basically stand up straight with your butt and your chest out, and one foot slightly in front of the other so that your weight is evenly distributed.

I can't believe it's only Thursday. This week has been going by so slowly. Settling into a new routine while dealing with a puppy who has suddenly developed major separation anxiety has been interesting. I took her to the vet last night, and they gave her a few shots. She spent the rest of the night miserable as hell, and she's still all sad and sickly this morning. Poor Zoey. Here's a pic of her being all miserable last night:


H and I made salmon last night, and my stomach has been in knots all morning. It was well made and the meat was still good, so I have no idea why my system is flushing itself. Thank God I'm the only one here in my department... my stomach is definitely singing the song of its people very loudly.

So much to do this weekend... we have sorely neglected housework all week, so we have a mountain of laundry and dirty dishes. We are having people over tomorrow, and I definitely can't let them see my apartment in its current state lol. 

On Sunday we're going to a registry fulfillment event at Bed Bath and Beyond because they'll give us an extra 10% discount on the entire purchase. We have a ridiculous amount of credit at BBB thanks to very generous guests giving us gift cards, but the problem is that most of our registry was already fulfilled. Total first world problem, I know. We won't get more than we want/need, so if we have leftover gift cards, we'll just hold on to them until we need something. Anyone ever been to one of these? Are there any products they sell that we absolutely positively need to get? 

Other than that, not too much to report. The puppy has taken over my life this week. I think (OK, desperately hope) next week will be much smoother. 

PS: H and I realized last night that we accidentally threw away all of Zoey's important documents (including her vaccination records). UGH! I contacted her foster parents to see if they can send me a copy (please please please please have them on file!), but if we can't get copies, we will have to redo all of her vaccinations... meaning we can't start her training classes on 12/15, we can't board her or take her to doggy day camp for socializing, she can't even be groomed, etc. We are obviously the pet parents ever. Ugh.

@minskat30 - I am feeling a lot better, and I attribute most of that to the dog, haha. People just need to stop asking questions that are none of their business. That would help, haha. There are certain things that make me feel better if I'm not thinking about them.

@MissKittyDanger - I have met MAYBE one person in my life that liked that flavor.

@eilis1228 Between her and Marc Jacobs for me! And aww pup!! Penny had separation anxiety when we first got her, check local pet stores for a plug in that emits pheromones for animals. It'll help calm Zoey hopefully   {it's same style as a glad plug in}
