Re: I think he really is going to propose for real! :D

  • Hey guys, we had at least one TOS Violation on the thread that got reported...  So because I need to make an official warning: please make sure to follow TOS when posting.  Thanks!
  • I wonder if she will be back next year.
    ******************************************************

  • The TOS is listed here: LINK to TOS

The complaint and reported post dealt with "linking to a thread to call out a user on their post" (pulled from the TOS).

“Trolling” The Knot boards by posting inflammatory or off-topic messages with the intent of provoking members/disrupting normal discussion is not permitted and will lead to warning/banning from the boards.

ETA: The TK report feature isn't working and I need to report a troll.

@KnotRiley how can @labro report a troll when the report feature isn't working?  Thanks!
  • @labro - I just saw somewhere on a Mod board that the report feature works on mobile, even if it doesn't work on the desktop.  You might try that if you want to report right now.  Otherwise, we'll have to wait for @KnotRiley to get back with us.
  • Hi all,

Thank you for the tag @CocoBellaF and my apologies again for the report button not working, we are trying to work with tech to get this back up and running. In the meantime, please feel free to PM me or the report function should still work on mobile.

I have addressed your concerns with the OP, however she won't be banned unless she reaches 5 warnings.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thank you!

Ridiculous. Whoever reported minskat30 should think long and hard about what they did. Yes, it's explicitly forbidden in the TOS, but for the greater good of this community, occasionally trolls need to be both called out and have their noses pointed directly at how we figured out they were trolls.
I'm sorry, are you actually suggesting that we should pick and choose what TOS should be enforced based on who is doing the infraction?  Sure, that would go over real well throughout the community.

Sorry, it doesn't work that way.

I also found out the OP was lying and commented on how they (and everyone else) could find same information without linking.   It's not hard to follow the TOS.

I hate warning regs as much as the other, but it happens.  It's life.   Just because you (general you) are a reg doesn't mean you get a pass for violating the TOS.   sorrynotsorry.

  • @lyndausvi We don't need cowboys over here who feel the need to report people for calling out an actual troll (who should be banned on post history, not simply given a potential warning). Thanks but no thanks to you and the person who made the report.

  • @minskat30 You and your law school logic!

TK should hire @minskat30 to write new TOS. You hear that, @KnotRiley ?

    Dying at your ticker, @labro

@wink0erin - you must claim responsibility for this.

Nice to see you there, @lyndausvi. I didn't realize you became the Knot Police while I was gone.

Any and all users can report any thread they see that violates the TOS.  Well, that is if tech can get their shit together with the report button.

We get a decent amount of non-TOS violating reported also.  One was from this thread.  Someone was reported, it wasn't a violation.  End of story.

I'm also a mod, so yeah I have a "responsibility" if you will, to report violations If I see them, even if isn't on my boards.

For the record, I didn't report the violation that got the warning.
