You know what, I DID have a pinterest board with about six pins on it before I found this board. Then they talked some sense into me, and I stopped pre-planning. Turns out, I didn't use any of those ideas anyway, because the wedding wasn't about what pretty princess day I wanted, it was about my husband and I TOGETHER.

I'd agree with you on one note... 'girls' pre-plan their weddings to a fictional man of their dreams. Women live in the real world, enjoy their relationship in whatever state it's in, communicate their desires to their SO, and use correct grammar and punctuation (unless their nails are too long, and then they occasionally mis-hit a letter).

Ridiculous. Whoever reported minskat30 should think long and hard about what they did. Yes, it's explicitly forbidden in the TOS, but for the greater good of this community, occasionally trolls need to be both called out and have their noses pointed directly at how we figured out they were trolls.

@labro - I just saw somewhere on a Mod board that the report feature works on mobile, even if it doesn't work on the desktop.  You might try that if you want to report right now.  Otherwise, we'll have to wait for @KnotRiley to get back with us.

I'm sorry, are you actually suggesting that we should pick and choose what TOS should be enforced based on who is doing the infraction?  Sure, that would go over real well throughout the community.

I also found out the OP was lying and commented on how they (and everyone else) could find same information without linking.   It's not hard to follow the TOS.

I hate warning regs as much as the other, but it happens.  It's life.   Just because you (general you) are a reg doesn't mean you get a pass for violating the TOS.   sorrynotsorry.

The no linking to old threads/posts is possibly the stupidest rule TK has. Anyone can click to view someone's post history so why TK makes such a big fucking deal about someone specifically saying "HERE is the thread where you said that before" is beyond me. 

I'm 99,9% sure that @cu97tiger isn't suggesting that regs get treated like speshul snowflakes but more complaining that that rule is fucking stupid as hell because it is.

@lyndausvi We don't need cowboys over here who feel the need to report people for calling out an actual troll (who should be banned on post history, not simply given a potential warning). Thanks but no thanks to you and the person who made the report.

Long version: Geeze, you go to a holiday lunch and miss all the fun.  Ok, I won't link to posts at all going forward.  I really (and this is genuine and not sarcasm) didn't think posting a factual rebuttal to a "statement of fact" the OP made (i.e.,  "I never posted anything last year" on the same topic) was "linking to a thread to call out a user on their post, thoughts or beliefs (not a topic)".  I think she introduced a topic (i.e., I don't post things like this) and I linked to show that that was factually incorrect.  So I can rebut her by saying "yes you did" but I can't rebut it by proving it through a link.  That doesn't make a lot of sense to me but I try to rebut facts with facts for a living.   That said, I don't make the rules obviously so I'll follow them if it makes sense to The Knot admins.   

Short version: I'll behave.  Sorry.

1) Nope. But considering many users on the site don't agree with some of the TOS, I do think I have the right to an opinion on what constitutes what's worth being reported or not. sorrynotsorry for stating my opinion.

Any and all users can report any thread they see that violates the TOS.  Well, that is if tech can get their shit together with the report button.  

We get a decent amount of non-TOS violating reported also.  One was from this thread.  Someone was reported, it wasn't a violation.  End of story.

I'm also a mod, so yeah I have a "responsibility" if you will, to report violations If I see them, even if isn't on my boards.

For the record, I didn't report the violation that got the warning.
