  • @cu97tiger - Your weekend sounds like a blast!

@CocoBellaF - Those planners are so pretty! I really like that the Erin Condren ones can be personalized and there's a clip in meal planner you can get for a few bucks that's really appealing.

@untouchablets - I was comparing the vertical and horizontal and was leaning towards the horizontal also. I just don't need to organize my life by morning, day, and night so it seems the vertical wouldn't work for me. I just worry that there's TOO much going on with them that I really don't need.

@speakeasy14 - That's such a long sleep! You must have needed it. I've tried using that and it just didn't work for me though I'm not sure why. I think it's because it's too small and I like to be able to see everything that I have going on/coming up all at once.

@beanbot2002 - That doesn't sound fun at all. I really hope that you get some relief from all that you're experiencing right now. Text me if you need to chat or just to vent, always. Love you <3

@500days - My work is not letting me see the pictures on that site :(

@MissKittyDanger - Yes, I get along with them. We don't see them very often. We saw them earlier this year when we were in GA but before that we hadn't seen them since our wedding I think.

@labro - Those are seriously gorgeous! I'm SO jealous of your day with @southernpeach89 and Callie! She is so perfect <3

@TwoDimes - That is Princess Hailey Rose. I love Indy soooo much! She's the cutest! My cats are the only ones that go under the Christmas tree and that's so they can drink all the water

  • @GoldenPenguin  Love the hair!!

@wink0erin I've had crazy dreams like that and woke up freaked!

@Swazzle oh that's good! Hopefully your time with them goes smoothly then

  • @AlPacina I barely remember texting you hahahaha I saw that this morning and giggled

  • @untouchablets - My friend's pittie was a CGC! He was also a therapy dog. I really think that Violet would be the best therapy dog, but I don't know that she would pass the test!

  • @GoldenPenguin lol most goldens I know would have a difficult time with the passively meeting a stranger and new dog part of the test without TONS of practice lol its so hard for them not to love everyone instantly!
  • @jenjen047 - I said this to someone earlier but using my phone just doesn't work for me. I've tried to do that because it would be the easiest since I always have my phone on me but it's actually more frustrating/annoying than helpful. I'm a very visual person and I need to see, like, the whole month at once and what I have going on on each day coming up rather than 1 day at a time. I didn't know there was a planner "craze". I just need something I can have with me when I'm at work and when I'm not at work so I can keep my schedule/life organized.

  • @swazzle - See that seems like a logical reason to me. But I have a number of FB friends who buy all these planner stickers and decor seemingly every week to match the season/holiday or even their activity for that week. One of them was planning a week at Disney so she bought Disney stickers to put on that week in her planner:

  • @jenjen047 - This is what my Outlook looks like, for example:

  • I've kept a planner every year for at least 10 years.  I tried to use my phone (there are some cool apps) but it just doesn't work for me.  I stick receipts, pictures, programs, etc. in my planner.  I like to show what work outs, meals, appts, etc. are on each day (on the daily portion).  There's just something about writing it down for me!

@jenjen047 - See, that hurts my eyes and my head. It looks like it belongs to someone in junior high. I'm all for color-coding certain events/appointments to keep better track (as you can see by my last post) but that's just too much. That's one of the reasons I'm not too sure the Erin Condren planners are for me.

    Edited: to add words

  • @jenjen047 Italian and TSO sounds awesome.  We have tickets to go next week!

I've always just kept activity reminders on a wall calendar at home (mostly things that effect BF and me), and some of the yearly reminders on my phone (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.), but I'm starting to think now that a planner for my purse could be awesome. I'm always writing stuff down on post it notes as reminders, and my purse is full of old notes to myself, haha. Having one planner (or at least having a specific place to stick the post-its) might be an awesome solution for me.

@swazzle - I'm actually really glad you asked the planner question now! When you find one you like, let us know! :)

    ETF: She's not swizzle, autocorrect!

  • I hope to, @KeptInStitches, but now I'm wondering if I'll make it at all.  :(  It will be H's first time to go, so I really really really want to be there!!
  • Yeah all I use in a planner is pen and sticky notes. I can't use a phone either. I'm way more consistent when I write with pen and paper and I actually enjoy writing things over typing so its relaxing for me to sit with my planner every night and update it.
  • I'll reiterate again, I could not live without my planner. I have everything written in there, and I'm able to plan ahead way easier with it. I'll put doctors appointments in my phone (mostly because I can set time reminders), but I'll also put them in my planner as well.

The thing I really like about my Moleskine planner is that it's broken down weekly by day, and then there's an entire page of notes on the side. That gives me space to write other things down during meetings, or expand on things that are in my day-by-day.

I don't care if it's pretty, I don't want stickers and all that shit - I want something that will keep me organized and on task, easy reference, and will last a long time. Moleskine wins. I will never use another kind of planner.

@untouchablets - Violet is a Golden through & through. She would be the BEST therapy dog because she just wants to be petted and loved, and she loves literally everyone she meets... but I'm just not a good enough trainer to get her to be able to pass the test! Maybe I'll try with Bruschi - because he's a snugglebug of epic proportions!

  • @KeptInStitches Not a teacher, but a weekly planner sounds perfect because you have soooooooo many classes and meetings and appointments each day that a monthly planner just wouldn't have enough room. KWIM?

I used to have this boring black leather planner in college. When you opened it up, each 2 page spread covered the full week and each day was full of 24 hr half hr time slots or something like that. It was pretty much perfect for everything.
