Good morning, people!

Last night I had a Devils game with H (we won!). While I was there, I booked my flights for the Chicago G2G! I can't wait to meet @minskat30 @AlPacina @TwoDimes @caseface5 and see @audrewuh and hopefully @speakeasy14 !!!! It'll also be my first time in Chicago which H is really jealous about. I told him that I'm going to test it out and then we can go back together. I am SO excited!

When I got home from the game, there was a mysterious package waiting for me. It was from Yankee Candle but it said it was ordered by me. I racked my brain and then my email (immediately wondering if I recently drank a little too much and ordered something

) and found nothing. I was SO confused. And then this morning, @GoldenPenguin came clean! She saw it and knew I had to have it!

Tonight I need to watch last night's PLL with @GoldenPenguin since neither of us watched last night. And I'm making Home Chef Salmon Crusted with Everything Bagel Seasoning which I know is going to be delicious.

@Swazzle The name of the candle cracked me up!!! Too funny! Your dinner tonight sounds amazing!

We are supposed to get snow this afternoon! I hope our city doesn't go into the world is ending mode and people actually just prepare themselves like normal people.

Our carpet got repaired yesterday afternoon and it looks so much better! No more fringed edges and the nails aren't exposed anymore so once Callie starts crawling we won't have to worry about those sticking out!

Today I'm getting my windshield repaired on the 4Runner. A semi kicked a rock up from the road and cracked it and with the cold weather I do not want that to get worse. I just hope the repairman can get here before the snow starts getting heavy.

No plans really for dinner tonight...maybe leftover chili since DH is working.

I'm a happy camper this morning! Last night when I got home from work I did Zumba. I am following a new video plan and the video that I had to do last night was only 20 minutes. I was excited at first that it wasn't an hour, but after I was done I felt I was lacking a bit, so I did some YouTube videos to get to a half hour. Then I watched SVU until BF got home. We had turkey tacos for dinner and watched an old WWE event on the TV that BF wanted to see. While doing all that we talked it through and I went on to book....

My trip to Chicago!!! I am so excited that I get to meet @Swazzle @minskat30 @TwoDimes @AlPacina @audrewuh and possibly @speakeasy14 !!! This is going to be the hardest 79 days (NOT that I am counting....) to wait.

@swazzle I'm jealous that you're going to Chicago too! That is going to be so much fun for you guys, and the minskat belly rubs! That candle sounds awesome, what a sweet surprise!

A girl that I originally met on Chit Chat, but now we're IRL friends, texted me last night that she's here from NYC on business. So I'm pumped to go out to lunch with her today.

And I ordered a purse that was supposed to be on backorder til after my AZ trip, but I just got an email last night that it shipped. So I'll have in time for the trip woohoo!

I to am super jealous of everyone going to the Chicago GTG. Its my birthday weekend, even, so I was hoping to be able to go have an awesome girls weekend. But money is a bit tight right now, and I need to be an adult. Which blows.
Last night was uneventful. I made a chicken and broccoli alfredo for dinner and then watched this weeks Shameless. I missed it on Sunday. And HOLY SHIT. That's all I will say, in case anyone else watches and hasn't caught up. Then I watched the first episode of Billions. I love it already. I'm pretty sure I watched all the way to the end, but the new meds made me pretty drowsy, and I can't be certain.
Today will be fairly uneventful again. I'll probably go get some essentials from the store, and then get the ice melt, shovels, and sleds out of the shed. I've been watching some of the weather guru sites and one guy (who is usually spot on), has now shown the 3 models (euro, gfs, and canadian) merging with NoVA as the epicenter of the storm. He's not one to play into the hype, but he was saying there is some potential for my area to get 3 feet. Three. Feet. Fuck me in the asshole. All the radio stations and news channels are being far more conservative with 6-12" predictions. We'll see how it all plays out! I'm just glad its coming this weekend and not next weekend so as not to screw up my plans to see some of my favorite women!

Add me to the chorus of "Super Jealous Of Those Going to the Chicago G2G." I had hoped to be able to swing it, but my parents have asked me to try to keep my weekends clear in April for after my new niece/nephew is born in case I need to go up to North Carolina to help out my sister and brother-in-law. (She's having a baby halfway through her last semester of school, and they already have a 2.5 year old, so I'm on "free babysitting" duty...which, of course, I don't mind at all, except that it means I don't get to meet fabulous NEY people!)

Ugh, how are we only halfway through this week? I didn't go in on Monday, so yesterday was like a Monday, and it was long. Tuesdays are always my long days, but yesterday felt longer than normal. I hit the office at a decent hour this morning, made my coffee, and am now sitting and staring at my notes on a paper I'm supposed to be drafting. I'm going to force myself to write for at least an hour to try to get something on paper at least.

After work I'm going for my run and to yoga, and then home to eat lemon-basil pork chops with roasted cabbage and asparagus. I've been spending my evenings looking up jobs in the States and sending them to BF. His deployment is supposed to be over in June, but if he doesn't find something with another company, he'll likely be asked to extend it, and he's decided that 2 tours is enough. I've found a lot of good possibilities, so I'm hoping one of them pans out. At the very least, I feel like I'm being helpful when I send him links, which makes me, in turn, feel better.

Oh, and fitness update...down another 2 pounds last week...5.5 lost so far! I'm aiming for 25-30 total--that's where I need to be to be at a healthy BMI. But I'm feeling good!

@swazzle ah that makes sense why neither you or @goldenpenguin said anything about PLL last night. I'm going to wait a few weeks for flights to drop, then I'll book.

I went to my sister's last night to watch PLL. Emmy had hiccups, so I got to feel her move all night. I looked up flights to Chicago, and could have gotten a somewhat decent deal, but going to wait because I know they will drop since the best deals were only through February. And I am cheap.

As I was leaving my sister's my BIL gave me some deer meat, so that's going to be for dinner tonight. I'll have to look up a recipe during some point today, or maybe I'll get lucky and my bf will have already made dinner.

@beanbot2002 I'm not looking forward to the snow at all. H's cousin is getting married this weekend, I'm really looking forward to it and I hope for their sake it doesn't ruin too much of their day

I really wish I was going to the Chicago GTG, April may be the month of the transfer so who knows. I was in a crabby mood last night, but I finished the book I was reading, The Last Anniversary, it was ok. I need a new book to read now. Suggestions are welcome. We are still debating on whether or not to go to the Bahamas, mostly concerned about the zika virus, even though the CDC has not mentioned the Bahamas.

The closet is now 75% done it looks awesome, H still has one more wall to complete and a few other things he wants to set up in there. It may not be fully finished until next weekend, which is fine. @jenna8984 - When are you going to AZ? I'm assumping you're going to Phoenix? I'll be out there 2/12-16 (though half that time will be spent in Tucson with my in-laws).

@beanbot2002 - The worst thing about getting 3 feet of snow is that most of it won't hit until Saturday, so it's not like we even get to miss work!!

@peaseblossom55 - So, are you not doing a fresh transfer? Just a frozen? (Sorry, I feel like I've asked that before).

I'm freezing my arse off. Count me in the group of 'we'll get somewhere between 3 and 30" of snow this weekend.' I was supposed to get my hair cut, and was hoping to squeeze in a massage, but now that's all going to hell.

Last night we made smoked pulled pork (crockpot) tacos. Yum. I have leftovers for lunch. Then I did some job searching, read a little bit of 'The Children Act' by Ian McEwan and was out like a light.

Tonight we're dog sitting for my gfs two dogs... one is a german shorthaired pointer and she's very sweet. The other is an asshole chihuahua mix. They've met F+F before, but I really hope they all get along!

I'm bummed I can't go to Chicago. We're spending all our free $ in the next few months on IVF. Hopefully that weekend I'll be 5 weeks along

Good morning. Last night I went to the gym and am really feeling it today. I usually go twice a week with my friend but we usually only do weights because she has an injury that prevents running/jogging/etc. But my fat ass needs some cardio so that's what I focused on yesterday since I went by myself. Then I came home and made a new dish that H and I really loved. Pesto shrimp with "zoodles" and broccoli. Not sure what our plans are for tonight, but my SF box arrived so hopefully I can post some pics later of what I got!

@swazzle - I'm so jealous about the GTG. Wish I could go! Maybe next year. And that candle is adorable! I've never seen that one before.
@caseface5 - I went to the gym yesterday and I had a short, but intense workout. I was thinking, how did I finish in 40 minutes?! But I felt so tired and sore so I knew I must have done something good!

@cu97tiger because we are doing PGS so they need to freeze the embryos until the results come back so we are doing an FET, this also allows us to get away to the Bahamas in March.

@beachyone15 I found myself thinking the same. When I first started doing the videos I was like "Okay has it been a half hour yet??" while out of breath. Then I did the first video of the set I'm doing and looked at my fitbit and was like "Wow! It's been an hour already?" Good luck with getting the cardio in!

@jenna8984 we have regular closets in the master bedroom too, but we are converting a small room that's off the master bedroom into a walk in closet. Hopefully those closets will be gone one day though when we expand the master bathroom.

Good morning everyone! I have a free period today so I thought I would check in here. Miss this place so much and I love hearing about everyone's day/lives.

Yesterday was the first day of the work week and it went by so fast. I had kids after school and then as soon as I got home I had to make dinner. We had turkey tacos with chimichurri rice. Tonight my H is on his own for dinner since I have parent conferences until 8pm. I'm going to get dinner with another teacher (we are the finer things in life club here lol) at a nice restaurant since it is restaurant week here. Excited for that.

And, like everyone else, I am dreading the snow this weekend. Why does it have to happen during our free time? I could use a snow day here and there.

@southernpeach89 It isn't going to snow today. It amazes me that schools are even cancelled when we haven't even had a drop of precipitation. I think if we see anything at all it will be Friday night.

@peaseblossom55 I love that bench! We have a large closet, but it's very long and narrow, so I don't have a lot of options for making it look more....restful? Pretty? I dunno. Maybe I'll do a closet make-over next year.

I'm so jealous of everyone going to the Chicago G2G! We finally picked a place for our trip to Asheville last night and I'm hopefully booking it today! Just a week ago nobody had anything booked in April and now everything is filling up! It's crazy!

Last night's dinner was AH MAZING! My mac n cheese came out perfectly and so did the skillet cheesy jalapeno cornbread. We had a lot of fun with our friend. It sucks he has to travel so much for his job but we really like it that it brings him to Atlanta on a fairly regular basis. He and his wife are going to be back in town again in February so we'll get to hang out again before we go on our trip together in April.

I'm in the office right now unless the weather situation suddenly changes for the worse. It's not quite cold enough for snow I think. The mercury says 32 and apparently the dew point today is super low (9 degrees) so I don't think we'll see any sort of hazardous conditions. It's just going to be wet and gross.

@500days I definitely feel like snow on a weekend has to be some sort of conspiracy to keep us all at work and unable to actually enjoy our days off.

Yesterday we went to the vet for her teary eyes and turns out she has a mild ear infection and an infection in her tear duct so she's got antibiotic she drops now.

Today I'm working alllllll day and gonna be up all night doing homework. So much fun.

@cu97tiger The wedding is actually at my uncle's house in New River (high desert) but there are literally NO hotels up there so we're staying 30 minutes away in North Phoenix. The hotel is next door to my old apartment complex so I know the area well... aka where the nearest In & Out is

Good morninggg. I am the tiredest GoldenPenguin to ever penguin. My PR client launched a new product this week, so I've been going to radio stations every morning to do deliveries and go on air. Yesterday I had to drive to Western Mass, so I was on the road by 6am, and this morning I was out the door at 630am to go to Vermont. I was NOT built for early morning nonsense, nosiree. I legit have no idea how @Swazzle does it every day.

I'm so happy @Swazzle loves her candle! Actually, I'm just glad it smells good, because I had zero idea what it smelled like, just that it had a kitten baby and was called "Whiskers on Kittens" and knew she had to have it.

I'm so sorry I'm not calling everyone out individually. I'm too tired. But you know I love you all!!

I'm sad I'm not going to Chicago.

@speakeasy14 - I'm sure we'll text tonight while watching PLL.
