Hey everyone. Last night H and I were going to go to the gym but he came home early with a migraine. So we are definitely going to have to go tonight. Plus I'm hoping with all the rain, it'll be less crowded. Yesterday was our first day of healthier eating and I was so hungry before bed. But I guess that's the point. I have discovered my new favorite snack/fake-out dessert though ---

How's the weather? SO MUCH RAIN. People here really go nuts when it rains and turn into terrible drivers. It's even worse when there's sleet/snow.

What are you wearing today? You are all so adorable! My outfit is so blah today. Grey pants, black and white polka dot blouse, and blue sweater.

What's for breakfast? Oatmeal and a banana.

What's for lunch? Salad with my favorite sweet onion citrus dressing and fruit.

I went back and forth in my head because I really wanted a boy, but then I'd have moments where I'd think "well this is our only one, I'll never get to go prom dress shopping with a daughter, or spa day with a daughter, or that wedding collage I made with my grandma & mom & I will never had a daughter added to it". So there are best of both worlds!!

@swazzle oh man Keds is still in business? I want those!! I have a boy name I'm pretty set on, H likes it but isn't ready to commit just yet. So we'll throw a few others around. The one I want is Mark. Middle name Robert for my dad/ his dad/ his grandpa.

Sitting in my weekly meeting and trying to look like I'm paying attention...

I should have a closet in my bedroom tonight!!! Apparently the Martha Stewart collection is being discontinued so we got one of those really nice closet systems for $80.  By the time my bf got through the instructions, I was ready for bed, so he'll be installing it today.  I did get some super adorable pictures of Callie "reading" with him.  Will share once I get out of here (and answer questions).

Tonight is PLL night with my sister.  My BIL is going for an interview for his dream job today, so fingers crossed it goes well!

Even though I was on this wild group text last night with @Swazzle and @southernpeach89 and @Hummingbird125 I didn't even watch The Bachelor! So the texts about chickens were completely out of context and hilarious! Instead H and I went out to a late dinner to celebrate me closing some super annoying awful contracts yesterday! We went to our favorite Irish pub and it was delicious! Today H is working a half day because I wanted him to be here to meet the contractor we're thinking of hiring for our bathroom floor project. We also have a tree service coming by to take down a few more trees. We really should have had them taken down last year when we had 40 cut down, but I had hoped these few trees would fill in and start to look nice and they really just look ugly....so down they go!

How's the weather? FUCKING GORGEOUS! It's sunny today and the high is in the low 70s!!!!

What are you wearing today? I'm WFH so jeans and a navy v-neck t-shirt.

What's for breakfast? A bagel, noms!

How's the weather? Not too bad - about 40* today and raining. Spring came in one weekend and we've gotten rid of just about all the snow.

What are you wearing today? A red polo, black skinny pants, and black mary janes. 

What's for breakfast? I was in a hurry this morning and grabbed an oatmeal bar on my way out the door.

What's for lunch? Dining center indicates that I'm having macaroni vegetable casserole, which is better than it sounds. I'll probably have a salad with that and a banana or a pear, depending on what's available.

What's for dinner? I want split pea soup, but it depends on what H pulls out of the freezer - he gets home way before I do.

Are you currently reading anything? I've been re-reading "Fantasy Life" by Matthew Berry.

Not much for big news from me in a while. H and I are getting an awesome tax refund and thinking about using it to go visit a good friend in Seattle this summer. I left him a remodeling list to work on at least some while I'm working insane hours with the never-ending grading pile. He has done exactly none of it. The tax refund might go to hiring the remodeling done instead.

Otherwise today I'm finalizing and uploading a test for one of my classes (giving it tomorrow to my on-campus contingent), creating a schedule for the next portion of the semester for the same class, grading quizzes, grading homework, and editing papers for profs who seem to think I have unlimited free time. Tonight any fun activities are really contingent on what time I get home, but I probably won't be back before 9. Blech. This is killing me in some ways. I don't want to complain about teaching - I enjoy it, but it's eating my entire life. 

And this is why I'm not posting much. Every time I sit down to talk about it, it turns into a whine-fest.

@twodimes I go through periods of baby fever even though I am DEFINITELY not having kids for a LONG TIME... I sometimes feel like I'm behind the times because almost everyone I went to high school with is married with kids (some of them started WHILE they were in HS lol). Luckily I have you guys and also life goals that I want to accomplish before I start popping out "human puppies" as BF likes to call them lol

@labro thanks! the only other ones that have been in the running are Raymond (doesn't flow that great with Robert) & Eli (would just do Eli). But Elijah is #11 in the country right now and I don't like being that popular/ having others in his class. H really wanted Jack but I'm not a fan, coupled with it's super popularity right now makes me hate it more. Mark is so simple and common but ranks #189 so there wouldn't be many others his age.

Work is SLOW. I have nothing to work on right now and it's driving me nuts.

Last night I frantically searched my house for my TSA suitcase lock because I am flying out tomorrow morning. I thought I had put my locks into one of my suitcases but apparently I didn't. I went through EVERY box in my basement that I have yet to unpack, all the boxes still upstairs, really everywhere I could think to look. Then, right before I was about to head to Target to buy a new lock, I checked my backpack and there was one of the dang locks. At least I was able to tidy some of the basement stuff and throw away packing material/boxes that should have been thrown out 2 months ago. 

I then spent some time picking out outfits for my trip and making mental notes that I need to do something about my midsection. Luckily I have a 1-piece swimsuit, so if I decide to chill by the pool at all I won't feel like a whale. 

I leave at the asscrack of dawn tomorrow, but at least this time tomorrow I will be in Florida! So far it seems the weather will be sunny and in the 80s, but Saturday and Sunday (my only days with free time) have chance of storms. UGH. I'm going to Disney on Saturday either way, and my friends are planning to meet me there. I wouldn't mind sprinkly rain, but if it storms I'm going to be pissed.
