hello friends! I'm typing on my iPad while in wait for my flight this morning. I thought you Gus are normally awake and chatty as he'll about this time in the morning but clearly I am wrong.

Good morning! I went to bed at a decent time last night, but I'm still a little sleepy today, so hopefully that will go away in the next little bit. 

Last night I went home and just layed on the couch. I tried to sleep but it wasn't working. When BF got home we made dinner then watched Gotham and he fell asleep. I was in bed by 9:30 and it was so nice. 

Tonight I have to go get a headlight and bring some chairs back to my mom. Then I have to do Zumba and hang out for the rest of the night.

What's the tackiest thing you've witnessed lately? 
I can't think of anything. I'm sure there is something..

How often do you do your nails/get them done?
I had a Jamberry party and got a ton of free stuff, so I've been doing them every 2-3 weeks. When I have to pay for it, it's far less often. I will get a pedicure soon though with nice weather coming.

What are your thoughts on the Ides of March?
When I was in high school I took Latin and we recreated it every year when people were going to lunch. We did it safely though, Caesar got stabbed with a plastic spoon!

Last night I made cheeseburger casserole for dinner, enjoyed a large glass of wine, and texted with @Hummingbird125 @labro and @southernpeach89 during the finale of The Bachelor which was so fun! 

Today is payday and I figured, what the hell, I'm getting some new shoes because that's just what I do. I was torn between black and mocha but Amazon had the black ones on sale so I went ahead and order those AND the mocha from Nordstrom (plus some bras!). 

I threw chicken and salsa verde in the crockpot this morning so I'll be having that and my world famous guac for dinner. The spring season finale of PLL is tonight so I'll be texting with @GoldenPenguin and @speakeasy14 for that.

Probably everything about the wedding @audrewuh just attended. 

How often do you do your nails/get them done?
I couldn't even tell you the last time. Just for reference, my toes still have remnants of navy blue from when I was in Africa in August. 

What are your thoughts on the Ides of March?
I don't know what that is so I have exact zero thoughts on it.

@swazzle I'm heading to El Paso for a work trip. I need to have a conversation with whoever controls conferences and tell them they need to moved them all to NJ/NY. 

Tackiest thing? 
Bridezilla's wedding
The Jell-O shots at the reception, someone getting so drunk they puke on the dance floor only an hour and a half in, no one shutting up during a single speech, the DJ doing the anniversary dance without music/dancing, the two women who showed up in floor length, white, chiffon dresses, guests showing up with their own cases of beer, not having another space for people to walk around the reception hall, having an entire table's worth of people show up to the wedding uninvited, the garter toss where the groom basically gave the bride oral on the dance floor taking off the garter - encouraged and narrated by the DJ. 

Nails?
i get a mani/pedi every 18-24 months. I tried painting my own nails recently and they lasted all of 7 hours, 6 of which I was sleeping. 

Ides of March?
the check in at the airport on Swarm warned me about them. Those are my only thoughts. March is a difficult month for me and this one is proving to be a doozy.

Good morning!  I will only be here for a little bit this morning, because I have a big day at work today.  I've been working for a few weeks on getting all of our active projects' status and calculating CPI, SPI, and other PMP-y numbers, plus an overall report, etc..  Today is the day we present all of our projects to our Big Boss.  I made some of those frozen fundraiser cookies to help boost morale today (ha).  Everything is ready and in order, so I just get to sit back and hope for the best.  We have approx. 10 minutes per presentation if we want to get them all done by 4:30.  Wish me luck!!!

Yesterday I got the CUUUUUTEST little gift for Kennedy and a sweet card in the mail from @speakeasy14.  Sorry the photo is turned, but I'm in a hurry this morning so... it's the best you'll get from me.


Cricket is staying the week with us while her family is out of town for Spring Break.  This is how we have to feed her, because they have two toddlers (one is their adopted toddle, and they have a foster toddler... plus biological kids (16 and 12) and another foster kid).  The toddlers basically hand feed Cricket all day, so she likes to be fed out of the bowl.  *eye roll*


She is basically just part of the pack.  I let her sleep in the bed until about 10 PM, but then I kicked her and Baxter out.  She got to go in  her crate and Bax had to go to his bed.  Bella is my princess, so she gets a dog bed pillow at the end of the human bed.  Ha!  

H hurt his back yesterday working on the flower bed (gotta clean out the mulch because the neighbor's cat uses it as a litter box, and it's full of an entire winter's worth of poop).  He's home today, so the dogs will love that.  Glad he hurt himself AFTER he did all the painting in K's room!

QUESTIONS:
What's the tackiest thing you've witnessed lately? 
That's a really good one, but I can't think of anything!!!  Give me some time.

How often do you do your nails/get them done?
I used to get them done every 3 weeks.  I haven't had my nails or toes done since before I got KU.  I keep saying I'm going to go, but I don't because I'm cheap.

What are your thoughts on the Ides of March?
I don't celebrate it religiously, but, "Et tu, Brute?"

-Honestly, people commenting on my pregnant body.  Unless you are giving me a complement, please don't tell me how big I look.  Thanks.

-Yikes, never.  They look terrible.

What are your thoughts on the Ides of March?
-No strong opinions.

Have a doctor's check up today so hopefully that goes well.  28 weeks!  I have to go every two weeks from here on out.  I have to talk to her about overall weight gain (fun), the Tdap shot, a few other fun pregnancy symptoms (cramping mostly...though I'm sure it is normal) and a fun new bump that appeared out of no where.  Pregnancy is so glamorous.  Actually, I'm laughing at myself because last night H and I took Raj for a walk and the entire walk I was letting out little bits of gas with each step.  I kept talking loudly so H didn't hear it but it was pretty funny in retrospect.  

Other than that, full day at work!

@Swazzle I had so much fun last night! H came in to eat dinner with me and when I told him I was watching The Bachelor finale he immediately walked right back out again. Clearly my husband isn't as cool as your's and @hummingbird125's.

Last night was the Bachelor season finale. I had so much fun on my group text with my sister and @Swazzle and @hummingbird125! There were a lot of tears.

Before the Bachelor came on I pulled a ton of weeds (isn't my life exciting?) and started taping off the hallway in preparation to paint. Hopefully I'll find some time to sneak over to HD today to buy the paint I need for the hallway and the mailbox so I can get started on some of my projects. I might as well buy paint for the guest bedroom too since I need to paint it by this weekend.

I'm WFH this morning but i have to go into the office in a couple of hours because we're having a work lunch close to the city.

What's the tackiest thing you've witnessed lately? One of my old high school friends recently became a life insurance adjuster/sales person and she self advertises all the freaking time on Facebook now. I don't want to hide her because I love her updates about her kids but the several times weekly "Here's why you should get life insurance" is getting pretty annoying.
How often do you do your nails/get them done? I'd love to get them done on a regular basis but it's too expensive. The last time I had them done was in early September with @southernpeach89 as a final pampering session before Callie arrived. I got around to removing the nail polish on New Years Eve. Oops.
What are your thoughts on the Ides of March? March is the last month of the quarter so there's always an element of shittiness to it for me.

My birthday lobster was amazing last night. H got my the biggest one I've ever had, so I didn't even finish it. Have a corn ear and the whole tail leftover for tonight!

So frustrated at work because I need to get this very important, multi million dollar commission report out, yet our firewall is blocking my file and IT is ignoring my request.

whats the tackiest thing you've witnessed lately? besides the wedding shitshow in AZ, my friend's mom posting on FB "If you want to come to my daughter's baby shower- send me your address!". Not how it works...your daughter should give you her guestlist addresses...(no it's not a surprise)

how often do you do your nails/get them done? Never. I hate manicures. I bite the shit out of my nails so I don't even paint them myself. Last time I did was my wedding.

What are your thoughts on the Ides of March? Had no idea what it is. Google tells me the assisination of Ceasar and a Clooney political movie. I have no opinion on either of those.

The only thing I've got going on for me today is I'm graduating a 7 month old dog who lunged at me and regularly tries to bite while his owner follows none of my instructions on how to prevent/manage his behavior. I'm referring to a friend of mine who has more experience with that kind of thing because he's a big dog and I can't do home visits or openly call one of my students irresponsible while at work. I hope she gets her act together with him because his issues are totally fixable but she just has to put the work in or else he'll be truly dangerous. I'm glad I don't have to work with them again but also worried a about it. If she hires my friend I know she'll be in good hands. 


Whats the tackiest thing you've witnessed lately? 
Does this count? Last week I asked a lady at work to hold on to her dog's leash in the store so he's not running all over and out the door, and she screamed in my face, threatened to get me fired, went to her car, came back, and yelled at me some more. If it doesn't count, then I've got nothing lol

how often do you do your nails/get them done?
I used to get my nails done every other week but I'm too broke for that now and I am awful at doing them myself lol.

What are your thoughts on the Ides of March?
I had to google what is was and found a funny tweet in which someone stabbed a bottle of Ceasar dressing.

@jenna8984 that lobster sounds amazing! And I didn't get to say it yesterday, but happy birthday!! 

@twodimes that makes me want to vomit. Bride this weekend was excited she had already gotten 1k from honeyfund. She continued to sing its praises and I bit my tongue. I was proud of myself for only saying once the party line that you don't need to ask for cash if you already have everything you need.

@minskat30 - OMG YES.  OK, my tackiest thing is a lady at church on Sunday telling me that I reminded her of when she was pregnant, because she was huge, too.  THANKS.  Also, K's room is pretty!!  I'll AW once we get the flooring put in next week, the chandelier installed, and the bookcases/crib set up.

@labro because they only bought six classes and he has improved since I started with them as far as breaking his other bad habits like jumping and leash walking goes, and all of the commands I taught are solid. If they want to buy more classes obviously I'll teach them, but I already told the owner that I'm not equipped to deal with his bigger problems. 

Edit: FWIW I wouldn't have even taken him in the first place if I had known about these issues. I'm supposed to refer those dogs out. But she was completely dishonest with me about him, when I asked her the routine questions about his behavior she just gave me a list of normal puppy issues. It wasn't until three classes in when he started posturing and she was like "oh the ridgeback in him is showing!" And I was like "no, that's aggression." I have done my best to work around it.

@caseface5 I'm doing a new color in the lower half of the hallway. I actually JUST painted it last year but I was never happy with how the lower half came out...it ended up being really mustardy yellow and it was never what I expected. I found a taupe color I like a lot more than I'm painting it over with. Luckily it'll take way less time to paint it than it did to tape everything up. I'm re-painting the guest bedroom because it's kind of a pale teal color and I'm not a huge fan (plus the wall needs some repairs and stuff) so I'm repainting it in basically a shade of wheat.

@labro I made an edit! Also I agree with you, but like I said I didn't know when she signed up. If I had more freedom I would be able to do more to help them. That's all I care about... I just want to help dogs and their people. Unfortunately, I can only tell people how to solve problems, I can't force the owner to give him more exercise or supervise him at all times.

@labro haha I do not bite my toes, just trim them with the clippers and that's it. Although the 1 pedicure I've ever gotten was far more enjoyable than the manicure.

@minskat30 Oh the joys of pregnancy lol. You're doing great though and don't listen to stupid people commenting about how you look. People are so dumb...it's like they think they can just say whatever they want despite whether it's polite or not because you're pregnant and therefore "have a glow and just happy all the time" lol.

@jenna8984 Birthday lobster. That sounds amazing.

I stayed home yesterday because I wasn't feeling well and Callie had a rough time adjusting to the time change. She slept great last night though so hopefully things are getting back to normal. 

Tonight is CrossFit and leftovers so nothing special. Last night texted with @swazzle @Hummingbird125 and @labro during THe BAchelor. LOVED it! One of the best endings in a while.

This past weekend Friday night my mom came over and we had pizza and hung out since DH was on a field trip.

Saturday after DH got home we went to a wedding shower which was kind of awkward because we didn't know anyone there. Everyone else pretty much knew each other but luckily there was alcohol sooo that took the edge off lol.

Sunday I went to my parent's house while DH worked and spent a lot of time outside which is probably why I had the allergy attack yesterday morning.

When I see people cheat at CrossFit knowingly so they can get a higher score because they don't want a 5 month postpartum woman kicking their butt. That makes me mad. I kind of want to punch her.

Not often lol. I still have old nail polish on from September....I definitely need to get them done soon now that the weather is warmer.

Not much last night. Matt did up his resume and I had to proofread it. Brought some stuff up to the locker and I finally went through some of our towels. He now has a Skype chat with the recruiter tonight.
We're trying not to get too excited, but we also found out they're looking at hiring about 5 people. *fingers crossed*

Tonight I'm making my mum's favourite dinner and going to bring some to her. Macaroni, tomatoe and hamburger.

Hmmm good question .... probably when Matt said some recruiters just add him to LinkedIn and nothing else. No msg, nothing.

Not often. Usually at most twice over the summer, but that's it. I'm more apt to do them myself. I think this year will be more because I got my nails done before our trip and I'm going again in May with a friend before she goes away. Although I'd rather getting pedicure done.

I'm waiting for my dermatologist to call me back to go over the results of my biopsy right now. A little nervous that they couldn't just say "everything is fine!" when I called but the person that answered the phone was a little out there so maybe she just didn't have the info/they make the doctor speak to you regardless now.

Hello lovelies! I am not feeling it this morning. I almost stayed in bed but I decided I should probably adult today. So yeah.
Yesterday when I had my evaluation it went really well - thanks for all the good vibes! I asked my boss for a raise and she said she would do what she could, but may not be able to get me the full 10% I asked for. But she did acknowledge that I am very deserving, so we'll see.
Last night H and I should have worked out, but we didn't. So we'll be going to the gym tonight. Dinner was really good (green chile chicken soup). I have no idea what to make tonight.

whats the tackiest thing you've witnessed lately? My cousin's registry. I am struggling to find something $50 or less.

how often do you do your nails/get them done? I wish I could get them done every month. I would if I could afford it. I paint my nails rarely, but I always have paint on my toes! Probably because I live in flip-flops.

@twodimes my eyes are bleeding from that poem!

Daylight savings time is still affecting me...considering every clock in my building says an hour earlier. It made it feel like the day went by super quick yesterday. Maybe the same will happen today lol wishful thinking.
