Just kidding, it's only Thursday but it's my Friday



I also have a "half day" today which consists of 7 hours of work as opposed to my usual 10 and I'll be home before 3pm which I'm so excited about! I have to work out when I get home and then I want to take Snoos for a long walk because it's supposed to be a gorgeous day. 

Tomorrow I plan to sleep in, work out, take Snoos for a walk again and maybe to the dog park, and then I have a Devils game tomorrow night. Saturday is my BFF's birthday so H and I are going into the city for that. Sunday is basically nothing except we might go visit BIL, SIL, and our nephew. 

GOD I LOVE LONG WEEKENDS!!!!!!!!!!!

@Swazzle That's awesome that you get a half day and tomorrow off. I have a half day tomorrow, which is going to be rough. 

We're going to see Batman v. Superman tonight!!! We have tickets for 9:40 tonight and I'm excited! Tomorrow is going to drag I already know. 

My cousin is having a baby today, a girl named Hannah, so I will most likely go visit them tomorrow. BF might take the day off too, and come with.

We are also ordering the iPhone SE today. We are both due for upgrades, so now I just have to choose if we do the two year contract or pay monthly for the phone. I'm so pumped! We've never ordered phones as soon as they were available!

I have no time off today or tomorrow - business as usual here. I'm hoping to run again this afternoon (got in 4 miles last night!) I think H had some sort of function to go to at school, so I might make myself a shrimp salad and watch a trashy show and knit tonight.

I can't wait until it's MY Friday!

@swazzle damn you- it's not Friday! But have a great time! Speaking of the snooki gif has anyone seen her new show flipping a house? I won't lie- I love it. She's actually a really great designer the things she's doing to this house.

@caseface5 aaw best of luck to your cousin, Hannah would have been one of my top girl names.

So the last 2 days- I have never laughed so hard. Man I love my H.

1. We were cuddling. I feel something, and I'm like what is that? ....I think...you have a penny stuck to your ass?! Sure enough he had a penny like indented in his ass cheek and he didn't even feel it!!! I have never come so close to pissing my pants.

2. We were driving along last night and this conversation happens-

me- look at that tree- it's like the perfect tree!

H- THAT Charlie Brown looking thing?!

me- well, sure it's a little bare, but it's like perfectly symmetrical

H- uuum the whole bottom is bare and it's lopsided! If that's what you think is perfect- no wonder you married me!!

@caseface5 - Is that the new, smaller model?  I've been wishing they'd come out with a smaller model, but I've only had my phone a year so I'll be keeping it for a while.

@PamBeesly524 - Good job on the run yesterday!!  H ran 3 miles yesterday after work, I was so jealous!  Except for the wind... we had 50 mph wind gusts all day, so there was no way I'd want to run against that.  I guess you'd burn a lot of extra calories, though!

I finally hit my breaking point yesterday.  My body just gave up.  I had help getting home, and then I just laid in bed the rest of the evening.  I couldn't even use the bathroom without help.  I'm glad that I feel much better today, but I'm just going to have to chill out - really chill out - for a while.  I've been following the bed rest rules pretty closely, but I will have to do better.

I've noticed the anxiety coming back in the past few weeks.  I've been having a lot of trouble controlling it.  Last night I kept having nightmares of hemorrhaging.  The closer we are getting to the end, the harder it is for me to trust that the placenta is going to be out of the way and that both of us will survive.  So silly but I guess you can't control anxiety all the time.

The floors are ALMOST finished.  They are absolutely gorgeous.  I will take lots of pictures this weekend after H, my dad, and my brother move all the furniture back where it belongs.

I got some super cute photos of Baxter and Bella cuddling last night, I'll try to upload them later this morning.

@Swazzle So jealous of your weekend! Today isn't my Friday but I'm taking next Monday off so once tomorrow is over with, I will have a long weekend too!

@caseface5 How exciting for your cousin! Enjoy those newborn snuggles!

DH had to work again last night and Callie was super tired so she was not having it yesterday. She didn't want to eat her dinner so we played and she basically did not want any of her toys. So we watched Hunchback of Notre Dame lol. She could care less about it but she likes it when I stand her up so we did that for like 30 minutes and she was happy lol.

Tonight DH will finally be home so I will get to go to CrossFit! Then we will probably have venison steak for dinner.

@caseface5 - I can't wait to hear how that movie is! I love Batman but not Superman and I won't lie, the previews for that had me cringing. 

@PamBeesly524 - I wish I could run and I always envy people that do it regularly!. I just really hate it so much lol 

@jenna8984 - H and I watched the first episode and we both really liked it! I've always loved Snooki (no shame!), she cracks me up!

@caseface5 - I have really scaled back and been following doctor's orders.  I'm so grateful for K, but at the same time I'm having a really hard time with acknowledging that this is a high-risk pregnancy.  I try not to voice my negative thoughts out loud, but every time I use the bathroom, I just know there is going to be blood and that the placenta will have abrupted and we'll have to deliver early and she won't make it, or I'll hemorrhage on the OR table.  I need to get a grip.

@cocobellaf I'm so sorry you're having all those emotions. I'm sure nothing we can say will make you less scared but medicine has come so far that you really will be ok!

@swazzle - Your weekend sounds wonderful!  I'm glad you have some time off today even though...how is a half day 7 hours again?!? That sounds like you got the raw end of the deal.  

@caseface5 - Ooooh, let me know how the movie is...I wanted to go see it.  We haven't been to a movie in ages.

@southernpeach89 - Poor Callie, and poor you.  I'm sure her teeth must really be hurting.  I'm sure the entire family can't wait for them to come in.

@cocobellaf - I'm glad the floors are almost finished.  Nightmares are pretty common during pregnancy, as are fears that everything isn't going to be ok, but just remember that once you actually make it this far most of the time everything turns out ok (I know I'm just grateful to have made it this far).

Full day today at work.  Tomorrow is a full day too.  H has off tomorrow and is working remote today...lucky duck.  BUT the electrician is here today to finalize the bathroom!!!!  H will stay on him hopefully to make sure everything gets done.

Really looking forward to this weekend...H and I are going to a spa an hour away for the weekend.  It was the best I could do for a trip for him for his 40th birthday given that everything tropical was out due to zika.  We are getting a couples massage and eating ALL the things and hopefully going for lots of walks in the wooded calm areas surrounding the spa.  I'm so excited!

@minskat30 - That's just how it works unfortunately! We don't actually call it a half day but an "early close" since it's not really a "half" day lol

WE HAVE A BABY GIRL! Hannah Lynn was born at 7:55, 7 pounds, 13 ounces and I can't wait to snuggle her tomorrow!!! Since I'm an only child, my cousin's having kids is the closest I get to a niece/nephew so I am excited!!

@minskat30 idk if last night was so much more her teeth than just her being tired. When I picked her up, her nanny said she didn't take an afternoon nap so that kind of told me right there that she was going to be cranky last night. I just feel bad for her when she is that tired.

Oh man last night was a whirlwind of activity but hey, I got my whole house put back together again!!! I feel so much better now plus I took some extra time to go through all the crap in my office and either trash or re-organize a bunch of stuff. So now it's basically all set and ready for staging! YAY! H made grilled chicken and veggies so I was able to focus all my time on everything that was out of place because of the carpet job.

I also had some regular maintenance done on our rings this week and let me say...the results are GORGEOUS!

Today I have nothing special planned other than lunch with @southernpeach89 because we're on a super secret mission!

@TwoDimes - Sounds like the one time in Oklahoma where there were tornadoes and flooding and escaped tigers from a zoo all at the same time.  We called it Tigernado.

@CocoBellaF - All the hugs and support to you.  I'm sorry the anxiety is out of control.  Maybe talking to someone (not your doctor, necessarily) might help?  I've had friends who had difficult pregnancies who really benefited from going to a priest/pastor or a doula to talk through all the emotions.

@Swazzle - RUDE.  Usually I can pretend Thursdays are my Fridays but this week I have meetings tomorrow and so I can't, which makes me doubly cranky.

@caseface5 - BABIES!  Congrats to your cousin!

In fact, I'm just cranky all around this morning.  The jobs for BF and I that I mentioned yesterday aren't going to work out...after a little further investigation we discovered it wouldn't be as good a fit as it immediately seemed.  The main problem was that the position in my field would be a 1-year temporary one, and they couldn't guarantee that it would become permanent--the job I have now is permanent, so it would basically be like taking a step back in my career.  We decided it doesn't make much sense to uproot everything and move to Egypt (literally) without at the very least a guarantee of permanence.  So that was disappointing.

I'm also dealing with the fact that on Monday it will have been a year since BF deployed this time.  I've seen him a grand total of 17 days in the last year.  I've been trying not to think about it and be optimistic about the fact that his current contract is coming to an end soon and so this is a good time for him to be looking for a new job, but...17 days.  We've been talking a lot more about getting married and starting a family, and it's hard to have those conversations with the knowledge that we can't possibly have a timeline until he gets out of a combat zone.

Ugh, sorry, I'm venting.  The good part of today is that I weighed in this morning and am down another 1.5 lbs!  I'm didn't make it up to do a morning run, so I'm going to try to go at lunch to keep the momentum going.

So we're in for some weird damn storm today. Snow, ice pellets and freezing rain. Then this weekend it's going to be nice .... so at least it won't stay.
Not sure if we're going to close the office early today or not, we'll have to see how this storm goes.

Tonight is cleaning and prepping for tomorrow. We have a disaster of a table to clean (clutter), dishes to do, vacuuming and I want to clean the bathroom.
We're having my mum, Matt's mum and stepdad over for early Easter dinner tomorrow. We got a nice ham, I'm attempting to do my granny's scalloped potatoes also.

This weekend I think we're not doing much. We have a bunch of Gotham and Blindspot episodes so we're gonna watch those.

That's about it .... I may tidy up our locker more too. I've been attempting to go through totes we have. I did narrow down some stuff that we have in two totes.

What is UP with this nanny man?  First you are spoiling her by holding her too much and now no nap?  She gets my side-eye today if Callie comes home cranky again.

@labro - Has the other house in your neighborhood sold?  I assume you guys are watching it like a hawk to see what it sells for and I've got my fingers crossed for you.

@minskat30 Lol idk...maybe now she is getting a taste of what I get on the weekends. Callie doesn't nap for me so now she knows that we need to get back to napping in her crib. I can handle Callie being cranky because sometimes that's just what babies do but her nanny needs to be trying to comply with what we do at home.

Oh guys! As per the usual...my entry into the Peachtree Road Race lottery (along with my mom's, H's, and @southernpeach89's) was selected! So we'll be running our favorite 10k again this year! Maybe this time I'll try to actually train....
