@swazzle - HAHAHAHHHHAAAAA. That might be the actual worst.

I'm WFH today while our new $6k a/c system gets installed. I'm hungry and I need to start laundry but I'm too lazy to get off the couch. 

The weather for my race this weekend is 38* (feels like 32*) with 20 mph winds. YUCK. We were going to stay at DH's aunt's house because it is much closer to the start, but she called this morning and her dog is in heat, so we have to keep F+F away from her. So I'll have a crazy early wake up call on Sunday!

Tonight H and I are going to take the metro into DC to get my bib and then we're going out to eat. I'm so glad I could talk him into getting out of our little town for a night!

@beachyone15 ugh your boss sucks like mine! We (the activities committee) had like 8 meetings to plan a special party for the maintenance man on his 40th working anniversary. That's a big deal! We planned the whole thing around HIM. We wanted to make it a surprise party, so we asked the plant manager to "call an audit meeting" that day, where everyone was supposed to show up and we'd be all "Surprise- it's a party for Bill!" Well the a-hole plant manager (who knew the plan) actually put together a slideshow and held an entire boring audit meeting and then at the end he was like "oh and by the way it's Bill's anniversary". I was sooooo pissed- I went and told Bill afterwards how I was disappointed and the whole thing was supposed to be for him!

I DID IT! Last night after work I went to the gym. I get a week for free to try it out. I had no idea what I was doing really, but I hopped onto machines I knew, found the machines that targeted some problem areas and wandered the place. It's not very big, but there are a good amount of machines, and I like that. Most the people there were older/not ripped so I felt comfortable. I didn't notice any meatheads or prissy bitches. If I join I get 4 free sessions with a personal trainer. Since I feel so good today I'm thinking I will do it!

By good I mean my thighs and chestmeat are burning in a good way. So thankyou, NEY, for giving me that little boost yesterday to get me to just go and do it!

I'm debating going to the gym at lunch today because I have plans right after work. A bartender friend downtown is moving away so there is a surprise going away party for him. Since I have this free week at the gym I want to use the shit out of it though. 

Its been crazy hectic this week at work because I had three things that needed done RIGHT NOW, but I pushed back a bit and basically told people they'd have to hold their horses while I get the most important things done FIRST. It worked! So that relieves some stress.

@wink0erin - I "second" that you've got this!  You can do it.  As to annoying people at the gym, they will always exist.  When I went to spin class yesterday there was a douche of a lawyer (and this is why people hate lawyers) who kept trying to hit on women who clearly were not interested, huffed and puffed his way through spin like he was the only one working out in the class and kept glaring at me for daring to be pregnant taking HIS spin class.  Ignore, ignore, ignore.  I say go this afternoon and use as much of your free week as you can!

@speakeasy14 - I've never been to Kiel.  Is it nice?  Have you been there and, if so, do you go often?  H and I are planning on spending a year or so in Denmark when we do our grand retirement plan...one year in India for "him," one year in Denmark for "me" and one year in Mexico because we like margaritas by the beach.  I've only been to Germany a few times though but everyone I met there was so nice...and beautiful.

@minskat30 I was there 10 years ago.  It's very north Germany, if I remember correctly about a 2 hour drive from Hamburg.  It is right on the ocean and gorgeous.  They have a week in the summer called Kiel Week and it is a festival for all of the sail boats.  I found it to have a lot of similarities to New England.  I've been dying to go back since I really didn't get to do a lot of exploring.

Last night I hit up the gym for an hour, and I'm feeling it today. It hurts so good. H made spaghetti for dinner, and I worked a bit more on the baby quilt while watching Arrested Development. Fun times.

H is going to a delicious, semi-famous BBQ place with his coworkers for happy hour, and he said he's bringing me back some pulled pork and brisket! *drools* I'm so excited. I'll probably bring it with me to Sewapalooza tomorrow to nom on with @audrewuh. YUM.

Tonight H and I are going to a friend's house to celebrate his birthday. Tomorrow is Sewapalooza with @audrewuh, and then tomorrow night my BIL is participating in this Beer and Pancakes Art Show thing, so we'll go check that out. They feature a bunch of local artists and have a full pancake bar. Should be interesting. On Sunday I think we might go see a movie and then run our errands for the week. 

My coworkers and I decided to go eat lunch at our favorite Thai restaurant, so I'm looking forward to 11:30. Work is going to be very busy today (and for the next few months, honestly), so I feel like we've earned it.

UGHHHH work is crazy today and I'm working from home and I really just want to shave my legs lol.

No plans for tonight, Maddux turns 2 today so he is getting a bath, nails clipped, and going to get a new toy. I think my dog is better groomed than I am.

Saturday I'm going to a bridal shower.

Sunday we don't have really any plans. I want to go out for breakfast after church. Maybe I'll convince DH to do that.

@eilis1228 still congested and no voice, but not as groggy.  My test results came back and I didn't have strep or the flu, but they said to keep taking the antibiotics since my bf has a sinus infection.

We're supposed to have sunshine the entire weekend! Yay!!! We made absolutely no plans, so hopefully that means unclogging our gutter drain, leaf blowing, weed pulling, and then a nice long hike to round it all out!

Our Netflix movie is Child 44, so hopefully we'll watch that too. Has anyone seen it? Tom Hardy, yum.

And then Monday I will not be here because I am going to go visit my friend that just had her operation. I put together a little bag of gifts that will hopefully keep her less bored over the next few weeks while she's alone. And then I'm hoping to figure out an awesome lactose-free dinner to make for her and her husband that evening. So if anyone has any ideas on that, I'm listening.
