@minskat30 YES! When I was working as the administrator I'd get SO many production employees getting their paycheck and storming in that they needed that money back. I felt bad for these people who really needed that extra bit and all I could do was change the setting back, I couldn't "refund" them which was always a fight.

@CocoBellaF - I'm starting to see women deliver on my board too (most are, I assume, pre-E or multiples). Thankfully all the babies have been healthy so far.  Pre-E is no joke.  I sincerely hope your BP stays down.  I assume your doctor is checking for protein leakage in your urine.  

@jeann8984 - Huh!  I had never heard of a company making a minimum baseline for a contribution if you fail to take action.  Like I said, I always try to max out my 401k but there have been years where that wasn't possible and, frankly, I would be irritated by someone else dictating what I need to save.

Need some fashion advice guys.. I have this dress below and I usually only wear it in the summer with sandals but I think it would be a good spring dress too. What color tights/boots would you wear with it? Navy is so weird to me for some reason:

@minskat30 - I assume she is too, but nothing has been said so I am also assuming that it looks fine.  I feel like 140's isn't terrible, especially since it doesn't stay up there.  I'm still trying to hold out until June at the very least.

@minskat30 It's not saying you have to contribute a certain amount. It just bumps you up 1% each year to a max of 10% (unless you opt out). It's supposed to be a way to gradually urge you to contribute more because you're less likely to notice it in such a small increment each year, rather than jumping 3-10% in a year. But yea, mine didn't used to warm people first! lol

@PamBeesly524 first off, very cute dress! Second, if you're up for colour tights maybe a soft yellow or pink? If not, maybe look at nude tights. Depending on your skin tone, nude-pink would be nice. Ideally navy, but you've already vetoed that If you opt for navy, find one super dark similar to the top {take dress with you if need be!}

@PamBeesly524 - OMG I LOVE THAT DRESS!!!! I'd wear tan tall boots with nakey legs. I don't love wearing tights personally but I think nude would go best because navy would be too much.

@PamBeesly524 I don't do autopayments for the reason you described. So shady! I would wear navy or black tights with that dress. I think black tights go with everything. 

I'm home this morning because I'm having a tree cut down in my back yard. It's a big ass dead ash tree. Every time it has stormed I've been freaking out that its going to fall on my house, so I'm glad it is being taken down. I hired a friend's company to do it. The guy is missing his leg below the knee and is out in my back yard climbing a tree with a chainsaw. Pretty sweet. 

I'm half freaking out about work though, I told my supervisor yesterday I'm out this morning to have the tree cut down, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he didn't relay this to the Director, who I have to work with today since my supervisor is out of town today. It's not a big deal, but I would hate to find out she has called my work phone and stopped by my office a thousand times thinking I no-call-no-showed. I also don't want to call her directly because there's a 100% chance she would try to discuss the case, and I don't have any info in front of me. So, fingers crossed my supervisor said something!

I'm also with @Swazzle... I wear dresses with boots and no tights if it's not too cold.  Maybe those knitted boot sock things?  I have knit ones that I pair with boots when it's colder, but the lacy ones are so cute for spring.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I can definitely do nakey legs when it gets warmer out, but spring in Boston is super unpredictable (see: snow) and I want to wear it sooner. I have tan and black tall boots, and I also have tan and black booties.... so from what I'm hearing I think both go! However, I only have black and gray tights so I may need to grab something different. I'm not really a tights person either but sometimes I have to give in and cover up.

For those asking... MODCLOTH! Always Modcloth It was actually my bridal shower dress.. It's the most comfortable thing I own and it's so flattering.

Aaaannnnnndddddd I completely missed posting.

Last night we ended up ordering dinner - which was good because then I didn't have to do lunches today. Matt was home with a migraine and I think I strained muscles in my back/shoulders this weekend, because I was just in so much pain yesterday. I basically got home and lay on the bed whining for about 5mins. Ended up taking a bath and putting A535 on, which helped some.

I also went through a bag of clothes, and happily enough got to donate some. Other shirts were ones neither of us want to get rid of - sentimental value - so I put those into our trunk of stuff. That way it's out of the way and not getting confused with anything else.

Tonight we're bringing stuff back to my mum's and I think I'll get her to massage my shoulder/back. She's got tiny hands so can really get knots.

Like most of you, it's freezing here too. Unfortunately we may get snow tonight/tomorrow

@Swazzle Way to go on the workouts, especially back to back like that! Sorry about the 12 degree weather... let's trade! 85 is the high here today, and I'm not ready for summer temps. Re: loan interest-- No, I have not noticed a sudden increase on any of mine. What type of loan is it? PLUS? Unsub? I just logged into MyFedLoan and saw that all of mine are fixed rate loans at 6.8% regardless of the type of loan. I didn't realize some student loans weren't. Interesting. That seriously sucks that your rate was raised like that. UGH
@caseface5 I'm glad you're liking the gym! Have you been taking any fun classes?

@beanbot2002 I didn't get a chance to respond to your post yesterday, but I'm so glad that you guys are seeing a therapist. If you aren't happy with this particular therapist, then definitely try a different one. At the very least, you could always make an appointment with a psychiatrist and see if they agree with the diagnosis. I want you to stop feeling this way too. Sending you big hugs!
@jenna8984 Hormones are the worst, and they do very strange things. I know this isn't the same at all, but lately when I'm PMSing, I get the weepies really bad. I'll be crying for no reason at all, and it's ridiculous. Pregnancy hormones are like PMS hormones on crack, so I can't even imagine how you're feeling. *hugs* Maybe you should treat yourself to some chocolate? Or a mani/pedi? 
@jenjen047 Don't feel conflicted! You have the right to say no for all of those very valid reasons. Just take a raincheck with your friend. I hope you and your H have a nice night together.  
@TwoDimes Poor Indy Your H is seriously the best. I love hearing about his relationship with Indy. They are two peas in a pod! Also, I'm cracking up that he chose Wendy's as his dinner. Sounds like something my H would do too. I'll offer to pick up ANYTHING for dinner, and he's always like, "Ohhh McDonald's!" 0_0
@futuremrshistorian I love your determination and discipline! When I'm tired, I'm like, "eh, fuck it." and sit on the couch and then feel guilty later. I hope your workout goes well, and I hope you're able to get some sleep tonight!

Not much to report on my end. Last night I went to the grocery store, worked out for an hour, and then ate some Morningstar "chicken" nuggets for dinner. Instead of working on my quilt, I took a long hot bubble bath. It was awesome. I accidentally left my book at work, so I read the audiobook I'm listening to through Kindle Unlimited. It's about WWII nurses in the Philippines at the start of the war, and reading about all the bombing right before bed was not the best idea. I had some very strange dreams!

Work will be busy today, and then tonight I need to take Zoey to the dog park, work out, make dinner, and work on the baby quilt. H is returning the rental car tonight, but we're immediately taking my car to the dealership tomorrow afternoon because the AC finally went out. It's been acting funny for about a year now. A lot of the time it won't kick on until the car reaches 35mph, but he said this week it's stayed off. Since the high is already 85 degrees, we need to get it fixed pretty quickly. *sigh* Let's hope it doesn't cost a small fortune to fix!

I drive a 2003 Honda Civic, but it only has 120,000 miles on it. We're hoping to drive it into the ground, or, at the very least, for about 3 more years. Both our cars are paid off, so we want to avoid a car payment. However, we were given an expensive laundry list of needed-but-not-immediate repairs for my car last year, and with the AC going out... I dunno. I'm not sure how much we want to invest in this car. 

I swear it should be at least Thursday by now. How is it only Tuesday?

@eilis1228 - I've always had Hondas, and they've always had A/C issues.    My due date is 7/18.  Still quite a ways off.

@CocoBellaF I've only had the AC go out once before this, and it was when a rock flew into the system and put a hole in something important. I don't remember the technical terms lol. Oh geez, that IS a way off still. Was the girl's baby OK? Try not to worry too much about it and just keep an eye on your BP. *hugs*

@eilis1228 - Both of mine are variable which makes sense now. I just hadn't experience a rate increase in all these years so it threw me. H and I had a 2001 Honda Civic with over 300k miles on it (the engine was replaced at some point) and she still drove like a champ! They are such good cars but car upkeep in general sucks. Then again, so does a car payment, though.

@Swazzle Yeah, at this point we need to sit down and see what everything costs and decide if we want a car payment or if we want to invest a few grand into my car. Both scenarios suck. My car could probably go another 10 years if we put like $6k into it, but then again H keeps talking about getting a new car in 3 years, and I don't know that $6k for 3 years is worth it. We shall see!

@MissKittyDanger I think it can be hit or miss - A lot of what I've gotten there has been great quality.. Actually my bridesmaids dresses came from there and they were cheap and comfortable. However, I did get a pair of shoes once that seemed really flimsy so I sent them back, and a lace dress recently that felt like it would fall apart. But I'd say 9/10 times, good quality.

@MissKittyDanger - My sisters and I order TONS of stuff from Modcloth (wearing a dress from there today, actually).  Generally if you get it on sale it's usually a really good deal.  They've got a bunch of different brands, so quality depends on which piece you order.  For one of my sisters and me, it's a comfortable place to order clothes--prices are decent (especially on sale items), and fit and quality is good.  For my other sister, it's a "special occasion only" sort of place.  But for that sister, spending more than $3 on a pair of pants at the thrift store is a big deal.

@jenna8984 – I hate when hormones go wacky. I’ll go from loving everything one day to just absolutely hating my life and wanting a new start the next. Luckily it goes back to loving life before I make any drastic decisions, haha. I hope you start feeling more like yourself soon!

@TwoDimes – Awww, did she not get vaccinated for kennel cough? Marv contracts basically everything, so I get him all the vaccines, haha. Doggy daycares are disease factories.

@PamBeesly524 – You’re so lucky your building is dog friendly! I heard ours used to be, but now we have a coworker that’s allergic to basically everything and ruined it for us. We can’t use anything scented either or she’ll yell at us. . . Also, I want that dress more than anything right now. I’m sure brown boots would look really nice with them, as long as they’re brown and not too orange or anything. If your boots are a dark color then I think the gray tights would go well.

@MissKittyDanger – What’s A535?...... Also, my opinion is ModCloth is awesome.

Hi everyone! I keep forgetting it's not Monday.

Saturday was spent mostly in the yard. We filled our enormous yard waste bin, and I added a few plants and other decorative touches to the yard. We also replaced our faucet, which we've been holding in place with duct tape for over a month now. I didn't realize faucets were so expensive, though!

Sunday I spent almost the entire day in the sunshine reading In The Woods. That book has an ending that infuriated me even more than Gone Girl. You've all been warned.

Yesterday I went to hang out with my friend that recently had her surgery. She was being too active, in my opinion, but you could tell she was going a little stir crazy. We went to a nursery and I bought some more beautiful plants that I'll hopefully be planting tonight. Looks like the sun will be out again! We got sushi for lunch, then curled up and watched one of my favorite musicals from the 50s.
