Funny story - my mum forgot their hers and my dad's first wedding anniversary! He had gotten her a card and she was just like "oh fuck" She was 5 months pregnant at the time, but she will honestly say she completely forgot lol

@beachyone15 @misskittydanger Yea I have a preg pillow and like 2 regular pillows. I'm taking up 3/4 of the bed (poor hubs) but it doesn't help at all. You have to lie on your side so whichever hip I'm lying on starts to burn with the passion of a thousand suns and then I get like an hour sleep on the other side and it happens to that side.

@misskittydanger good luck at the house this weekend, and bonfire sounds really fun tonight!

Morning everyone!  Things are good here so far today.  I'm celebrating a sort of depression milestone--this week, for the first time in about 3 weeks, I've made it to work every day that I normally work (M-Th; I almost always WFH or don't work at all on Fridays).  The two weeks before this, I've either left early or not come in at all at least one day, because I literally couldn't get out of bed.  So the fact that I'm sitting at my desk drinking coffee and getting ready for class is  a big deal.

Also this morning I weighed in and I've lost another 2.5 pounds!!  That makes for 9 total!  I fit into a pair of slacks that didn't fit when I bought them on ThredUp in January, and I'm wearing my Jimmy Choos, so I feel pretty fabulous.

And, tomorrow I'm going to see my babies!  I am going to snuggle them so hard:

So... I went from being in a great mood to a shit mood in about two seconds. Without going into too much detail, I basically have been working for my friend at her dog grooming shop two days a week for extra cash and I just walked out on her because she's become less and less interested in the well being of dogs and more interested in money, and I do not like the way she has been running her business. Not worth it to me. I will probably work there tomorrow and then be done with that. I'm finally thrilled with my job and what I am doing with my life and I don't want anyone to drag me down like that!

So now I am working on my school assignment and trying to go back to my good mood. Yuck.

@labro - I KNOW!  She's only 6 weeks old!  At her one-month appointment she weighed about 10.5 pounds, so who knows how much she's gone up since then.  I do know she can't fit in newborn clothes anymore...I found a bunch of newborn size organic diapers on sale at Marshalls and offered to buy them and my sister said there was no point!

@untouchablets ugh, it sounds like a smart decision.  We stopped using a groomer because we didn't like the way they treated the dogs, so I completely understand not wanting to work in that kind of environment.  Hopefully your day gets better.

I'm auditing today and freezing again. I have huge thick socks on and a pashmina over my shoulders/hands, and my big toe is numb and hands are frozen. I'm thinking the room I'm in just has one hell of a draft, because when I walk into the hallway I'm no longer freezing. I totally look like a grandma.

I went to get food at a brewery yesterday after working and there was this SUPER annoying guy a couple seats away from me at the bar. He kept trying to talk to me and I was ignoring/eye rolling and being overall a bit snarky. Mr. Annoying was harmless though, and there was an older man between us who was pretty good at deflecting him. What's funny is that Mr. Annoying was trying his best to buy me another drink, which I didn't want, and I kept refusing. He then turned to the older man and was saying I was "the only real person left in the world." Ultimately Mr. Annoying slid a $20 bill onto the notepad I was writing on, said it was for my dinner, wouldn't take it back when I tried to give it back, told me to keep being real, and he left me alone. I was a bit confused, because I totally was not being nice to the guy, lmao. I was live-texting the whole thing to BF because it was so strange.

@LizzyTish88 – That’s so awesome that you have a boy on your team! I remember how excited my dance studio was when we had a boy join the ballet class. The shitty part is I was already a giant by that point, and was not a suitable female ballet partner, haha.

@wink0erin some guys just don't get it, but very strange that he insisted on giving you money.  On my flight to Chicago the guy next to me kept trying to hit on me.  He was still drunk from the night before.  And he made sure to tell me he had gotten so drunk he had missed his flight.  At one point his buddy said something and he said something about his future wife.  I don't know it was 6am and I was already tuning him out and falling asleep at that point.

@jenna8984 - I suffered from the hip pain really badly for a while.  The best thing I've found is to either get a massage or have your H massage the sides of your legs.  My doctor said it was because of pressure being put on the nerves.  It got better in my case, but H had to rub the sides of my legs a lot for a while.  Hope you get some relief.

Trying to catch up (hahahahaha) again today. At least my students are nice enough to remind me when I have forgotten to upload lecture notes. We painted the squares last night; in direct sunlight on the floor (they need to dry before we can stick them to the walls), I like SW Agreeable Gray the best, and I don't think Valspar Oatbran will work at all. I'm torn on Realist Beige; I prefer it in certain lights, but it's early and I need to see them up before I make decisions. I think we're moving in the right direction for paint, though!
