Good morning!! I am in a fabulous mood this Thursday morning!! Last night I went home and did a little cleaning, had a little "fun" with BF, then poured myself a glass of wine and sat outside with him and Tess. It was so nice out!! 



We made chicken on the grill then watched another one of our shows. Does anyone else watch Crowded? It didn't have much advertising, but it's so funny. Over time we have watched the whole first season!

Today after work is our annual retirement party for those who are leaving. I will be leaving work around 3:15/3:30 to go home, let Tessie out and feed her, then head to the party! We all take it as an opportunity to get a little more fancy than usual so it's fun!

I said yesterday that I would AW my dress today, and I'm going to. This AW is a little different though. I AWed this dress when I got it at this time last year. This morning I took a pic and put the two together. It's hard to get upset when I weigh in and only see that I am down -.2 pounds, but then I see these pictures and I feel so much better! Pictures help to motivate me so I love this!



So that's my shameless AW for the day. What is making everyone else happy this Thursday morning??

Yesterday I went to the P.O. Box where we had a few more RSVPs, picked up a few groceries, and then went to the gym and did 2.5 miles on the elliptical plus weight lifting and squats. I am so sore today but feel amazing! When FI got home we caught up on OUAT (we are pretty behind so no spoilers please!). 

Something is making me very happy today: I get to meet @GoldenPenguin today!!!!!

We will have to post pics after our lunch date. Other than that I am going to try to get to the gym again at some point and then unpack more.

Tonight is out for sushi with H and then we're going to see X-Men: Apocalypse! It's not getting great reviews but I love all of the X-Men movies and you all know how I feel about J-Law so I don't see how it could be bad.

Nothing much to report over here, can't wait for the long, hot weekend! Oh while I was getting ready this morning, my cat jumped out of the crib where she'd apparently slept all night.....I was like you son of a bitch. I knew it was a matter of time until she checked it out but now I need to train her that's not allowed! She's pretty easy to train, I did the back of the couch in like a week.

Morning ladies!  I couldn't play yesterday.  All work and no fun makes minskat a very dull girl.  I was also in a craptastic mood so I opted to start over again today.  Today is busy at work as well but hopefully not yesterday right?

Today is just work, then picking up a few things for Miss Ani.  Hopefully I get to book my hair appointment today because I'm really wanting to go this weekend.  I already have a place I want to try a facial at lined up.  H told me we are doing something fun every day until Miss Thing makes her appearance as a means of distraction so I'm taking him up on it.  We are going to the movies next week and dinner this weekend I think.  I'm also going to go swimming (if I can find a bathing suit that fits) to try to relieve some of this pressure in my pelvis.

I'm doing okay. I ended up at urgent care last night because I thought I might have a UTI. Turns out I don't, but I'm still in some pain. I'm wondering if the THREE suppositories I take a day are irritating my cervix. Time to email the nurse!

Tonight H and I are grlling steaks and veggies and relaxing. I am tired tired tired and have zero energy to deal with any of the normal BS at work. Oh, and yesterday I made one of my employees cry (well, technically, her actions caused me to tell her something to make her cry, but it still made me feel bad).

@swazzle oooo I have never grown/ gardened anything before either but I'd love to try. I saw this thing on pinterest to plant the heart of lettuce and it re-sprouts. Well I did it in a Tupperware in the dining room (like the pinterest said) and it did definitely grow....but then I learned I was supposed to go plant that in dirt and I was like shit- it's January in MA....so I threw it away lol.

@minskat30 when is your actual due date? June 3rd I thought? omg it's so freaking close!!!!!! Have you had any scans to say how much she weighs or if she's in the right position? Sorry if you have already mentioned that. I definitely want to get some swimming in too, I'm just going to buy a $5 walmart bathing suit that fits lol.

I am SO glad it's almost Friday. Today is getting shit done, and then tomorrow I get out early, heading home, packing the fam up, and heading to Maine! YAY! I'm really excited to go, but I'm also nervous/sad because my grandmother hasn't been doing well, and I'm afraid I'm going to burst into tears the second I see her. I'm not ready. 

It's also supposed to rain up there all weekend, UGH. BUT it's a long weekend, so HOORAY!!

@minskat30 - You are so close to meeting your baby girl!!  I hope that the time flies with all the fun stuff your H has planned.  
@jenna8984 - Baxter keeps sleeping in the glider, and they both end up sleeping on the rug in front of the crib.  I've seen Bax sniffing the crib like he wants to get in it...  I'm sure when we convert it to a day bed or toddler bed, that there will be a lot of snuggles happening in there.  Animals are funny!!
@cu97tiger - Hope your steaks are great and that you get a lot of relaxation in tonight.

WFH again today.  They are having an employee-appreciation breakfast out at work today, but since I can't go, I have to work through it.  Boo!

I have my OB appt this afternoon.  H decided he's going to go with me, just in case we get sent back to L&D again.

I have a little bit of a dilemma.  My OB has been medicating me at home to stop the pre-term contractions.  I had a terbutaline shot at the hospital the first night, and the second night I was given oral procardia.  I tried the oral procardia at home for a few days, but had an extreme allergic reaction to it, so she then switched me to flexeril.  I still have frequent contractions with the flexeril, so she put me on oral terbutaline during the day and flexeril at night.  I've been doing that for a week.  However, everything I've read says A) do NOT take oral or injected terbutaline for more than 48-72 hours at most and don't take it without being closely monitored.  So I am really uncomfortable taking the terbutaline indefinitely (for at least another month).  Last week, she mentioned that she was digging in the bottom of the barrel for medications.  So it's not like I can just try something else.  I'm starting to get some reactions from the terbutaline (the longer I take it, the reactions get stronger and increase).

I plan on asking her about it today, but, WWYD?

That's the way I've leaned this entire time (trust my doctor because that's why I chose her).  I think I'm just having some anxiety about it.  All the information that comes with the pill says don't take past 48-72 hours, etc. so it made me a little wary.  I'll try to rein in my crazy.

@cocobellaf I have lurked on here for months, and it seems to me you cannot handle being pregnant at. all. Pregnancy it tough and there are people on this board who would LOVE to be in your shoes. For a hot sec, I thought I stumbled onto The Bump....

Anyway, I'm not a doctor but if I was, I'd give you a steroid shot for lung development and schedule a C-section this weekend. Pregnancy is not for everyone and when your doctor is telling you she's digging at the bottom of the barrel for medication, she's kind of over it.

@jenna8984 - June 8th according to the first dating ultrasound we did.  BUT I'm pretty certain if I back into it it was around June 4th.  I know that doesn't seem like a big difference but its HUGE when you are this pregnant and sore.    She isn't in the right position really...head down so that is good but not engaged (at all) and laying sideways so the doctor is thinking I may go late at best....my doctor knows I have a family history of babies not dropping into the pelvis at all (even during labor) so we are hoping it is just a case of Ani taking her sweet time versus that.   Anyway, it is very close now either way and I'm very excited.

@cu97tiger - Are you feeling ok now?  Urgent care is NOT ok.  Huge hugs.

@goldenpenguin - I'm putting a pedicure on my list of fun things to do too.    My doctor mentioned that she might let me go to 42 weeks with my unfavorable cervix so bring on ALL the pedicures please.  I'll wait it out for Ani to arrive on her own as long as the doctor thinks that is the safer course for her but I did eat a pineapple a few days ago and had sexy time with H...neither of which did anything other than...well...the obvious fun of eating a pineapple and sexy time.    I hope you get to spend a lot of quality time with your grandma.  Hugs to you, I'm sure it must be difficult when she hasn't been doing well.

@CocoBellaF - I don't think too many people on here are going to have very specific advice for you concerning meds for KTFU-related issues. I have literally no idea what any of the stuff you mentioned in your post is/does.

@cocobellaf - First of all, hugs to you.  I know this is tough.  I really, really do.  I would trust your doctor unless you really think you need a second opinion.  If getting a second opinion would ease your mind, seek one out.  I don't know where you are at mentally but I know it is easy to panic when you feel like you don't have control over a situation.  There will be no perfect answer/solution/drug unfortunately and I'm sure it is killing you to be in the land of uncertainty and I'm sorry for that.   I totally get that but what can you do to try to take your mind off of this pregnancy for a bit?  I know that is easy to say and hard to do (especially on bed rest) but you have to focus somewhere else for a moment if you can to get back your equilibrium.

@CocoBellaF - I'd probably bring up my concerns with the doctor (and maybe also talk to a pharmacist) but in the end rely on her/their judgment.

Morning everybody!  I wasn't around yesterday because a friend and I went out to the beach for about half the day and then I came home and slept because I had two cocktails at lunch and that and the sunshine made me super tired.

Not much going on otherwise.  It's back to work today.  I've got 9 books I need to read for this seminar I go to next week...I'm on the second one.  We're discussing 3 the first week and so I'm hoping to get through those before I leave on Sunday.  I've fallen back into my grad school habit: read, take a break and do something, read, take a break and do something else, read.  It's actually kind of a familiar and comforting routine!

Also this morning my nephew had a conversation with one of his housemates (my sister and her family have 3 other girls that live with them):

Housemate: "Why are you running in here?"
Nephew: "Because Donald Trump is going to get me!"

I love that kid so much.

Good morning!! I am so happy to have a free period to just unwind and check in here. Things have been super hectic at school...only 14 days left!!!! I have a dodgeball tournament tonight and then early to bed because Fridays have been horrendous for about the last month or so. The kids can't play school for much longer...

This weekend will be hopefully very nice. I just want to relax and possibly do an outdoor activity since it will be warm. Sunday we are helping my uncle move some large furniture (he doesn't have a truck or and it's too expensive to hire movers) with H's truck. I'm hoping that the good deed will provide me with good karma for the upcoming week. I'm running a 5th/6th grade dance and I'm super nervous that none of the 5th graders will come. Hopefully it will be a success. I have lots of hopes and wishes for a smooth end of the year.

@minskat30 Huge huge huge hugs!!! Get yourself to the salon and get a nice pedicure, a relaxing facial, and some fresh highlights STAT! These last few weeks of pregnancy are the absolute worst. Sometimes I think it's just your body trying to get you there mentally to be ready to have a baby and go through all the pain and discomfort of labor. It seems like forever right now but soon enough (one way or another) you're going to be home with a beautiful baby girl!

@LizzyTish88 Looking great!!!! I'd love your post over and over again...but is that ICE I see in your glass of wine? That had better be sangria...

You guys, tomorrow is FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the last day of school for us which means no more fucking traffic until August!!
