Morning! 

Guys.... I may not survive the next 2 days so it's been really nice knowing you all. 



Today is the Brexit vote: Britain is voting on whether they want to "exit" the European Union. This affects my industry greatly so there are going to be people working around the clock. I'm at work now, like usual, and I'll be here until 5ish, possibly later, and then I'll be back here at TWO O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING. TWO. AM. And I'm working until 5 tomorrow because my CW has to leave early. SIGH. 

They're putting me up in a hotel across the street and H is going to come meet me for dinner nearby. I packed my LLR leggings so at least I'll be super comfy! And I'll be getting 15 hours of overtime! Silver lining!

Other than that, I don't have much going on. H and I went out for delicious sushi last night (spicy kani salad, Mexican roll -- lobster salad, tuna, salmon, crunch, avocado, and Imperial roll -- shrimp tempura, spicy crab, avocado, and something else I forget) and I drank a bottle of wine and watched the Big Brother premiere which was fantastic and made me very happy.

@Swazzle  Ugh I'm so sorry you have to be at work so early tomorrow and stay the whole day....I hope it goes by quickly! 

Yesterday I got our garage swept and cleaned out. DH still needs to organize his tool table because it's a hot mess but NO MORE SPIDERS! Whoop. To treat myself I went to lunch with DH at Marlows and got Fish Tacos, chick pea fries, and sangria! It was delicious.

Last night @labro came over with our little sister and Maddux played with my sister's dog Wilson and we had apps, drank wine, and ate dinner while watching some old Disney movies that I had recorded lol. It was a great night! I stayed up too late though waiting for DH to come home so I'm dragging a bit this morning.

Tonight some moms in my neighborhood are going out to dinner and then going to go see "Me Before You". I haven't heard much about this movie yet so I'm excited to go see it. I haven't been to the movies since around Christmas time so I'm overdue.

@swazzle oh wow! Has this happened before in the past (Brexit)? I really don't know anything about that but it sounds pretty major. At least you get a hotel and your leggings to enjoy but that still bows about going in so early!

Ugh I'm training my temp so I won't be able to be on too much but hope to check in periodically! People in our other locations are already calling me freaking out that I'm leaving like tomorrow. I'm like guys chill, we have weeks, I'll give you a 2 week warning lol

Oof, @swazzle - tomorrow sounds like a bear of a day!! Good thing it's on a Friday so you can recover all weekend!

I'm WFH today. I'm getting my hair highlighted at lunchtime and then I get to have a frustrating conversation with a colleague who is used to stomping her foot and getting her way... but not this time!

I just looked at my work calendar for tomorrow and I have exactly one meeting for the whole day. That is GLORIOUS!

@Swazzle Yikes!! That's insane but at least you get overtime out of it. Also you will be super comfy, because LLR. I just bought my second pair, which will be my third because I got a free pair last time. Wooooo!

I got my car back last night. Bad news is I need my back brakes done too, and I needed an oil change. So they did the oil change and I have an appt for my back brakes next week. So as of next Thursday I will be like a whole new car with new brakes, oil change and new windshield!

BF and I grilled London Broil and watched 3 episodes of GOT which included the first episode of the current season! Pretty soon we will be watching it with the rest of the fans as they happen and not crazy far behind. 

Today I have to leave early because I have a dentist appt, and tonight I have no plans at all. We have to watch Tuesday AGT so that is on the agenda tonight.

Last night I had invited my dad, his wife, and all my siblings over for dinner (and to celebrate Father's day). The perk of having a smaller house, it forces everyone to interact.  And Calla loves Emmy.  She kept checking on her and giving her kisses.  

My office is having a health fair today. I'm in jeans and a t shirt (it feels weird).  Hopefully the rain holds out because lunch is outside under a tent.

Today is attempt 3 at car shopping.  My bf is currently at a dealership, so hopefully he finds something.  And supposedly my car is going to be done today.  So we'll see.

Good morning! Last night H and I went to the gym (reluctantly), came home and made dinner, and looked at our budget. I'm glad we did because we both feel pretty good about it. We just need to be diligent about what we spend on entertainment every weekend (movies, going out to eat, etc.). This came about because we were watching "Life or Debt", which is a show about families who have thousands of dollars in debt and don't make enough income so they keeping going further into the hole every month. I told him at least we aren't in that position and we are still able to save every month. It made us feel a lot better about our budget!
Hoping today goes by fast so we'll be one step closer to the weekend!

@swazzle - Yikes! That would be rough, but at least it's just one day and you get extra $$$.
@southernpeach89 - I could easily watch Disney movies anytime. I especially like to watch the old ones when I'm sick - there's something comforting about them.
@cu97tiger - Good luck with that convo. I hate dealing with stuff like that, but I know sometimes it just needs to be done. AW your hair, please!!
@LizzyTish88 - Ugh, new brakes AND a dentist appt?! Adulting sucks sometimes.

@swazzle I really want to try LLR but I don't know anyone who sells it or has parties where I could try it on   Been feeling...ok. Pretty good during the day but evenings and nights are crappy with a lot of swelling. August 2nd!

@speakeasy14 Just curious, but are you planning to pursue any sort of legal or civil action against that horrible car repair guy? He still has your car right? That seems illegal to me...he shouldn't be able to hold your property hostage...that's theft. I'm sending you all the vibes in your car search in the meantime though!

Last night was a super fun sister night. I got to make ridiculous noises with Callie, drink wine, laugh, and watch horrible old original Disney channel movies.

Today I don't have anything exciting planned...I'm just thankful we're nearly at the end of the week. I'm really curious how the Brexit vote is going to go...personally I feel like they will vote to stay in the EU and then maybe work on negotiating some changes or something.

@Swazzle Wow, that's a long work day! I would probably grab Dunks/Starbucks and power through it. Definitely report back on this adventure- I hope it doesn't affect your job too much.

Good morning! It's almost the weekend! Today I plan on using my amazon giftcard to buy some kindle books. I scratched down a few recommendations from here, but I'm always willing to take more!

Last night my H didn't get home from work until 8pm, so I was home alone for a long time. I watched a lot of HGTV and Modern Family while I waited for him. He's working on some waterfront property in Westerly...I keep on telling him to keep his eyes peeled for Taylor Swift. He acts like he wouldn't recognize her if he saw her, but really?! Anyways, I made chicken alfredo for dinner and it was delicious! My H is having it for lunch today, so I will have to ask how he liked it later. 

No plans for tonight. I forgot about MasterChef last night so I'm going to watch that today and hopefully get my nails done since they look so bad. That is all.

Didn't post yesterday because I was just in a cranky mood, but I skimmed a bit.
My jaw is slowly getting better, but night before last I was up every 2hrs in pain. It's from the needle that went into the back, and dentist gave me a few ideas but nothing is working great Only thing that works - if I'm quick and not curled up in pain - is swishing warm water in my mouth. Otherwise it feels like hours, but it's maybe 5mins of horrible jaw pain.

Last night I had more sleep, but still got woken up by my jaw. This is awful. Stupid needle ...

Anyways .... so this weekend is another warm one. I think Saturday Matt is going to see my uncle for sanding and staining. He's not going to do our table because apparently it's worth a lot more than we thought, but since Matt needs to still learn my uncle has something else he can do.


Tonight is literally some laundry, vacuuming and relaxing. My mum is loaning me her heating pad for my jaw, so I gotta grab that.

@labro we spoke with an attorney on Monday.  He kind of grazed over the fact the mechanic still has my car, but said to have another mechanic verify that what went wrong with my boyfriend's car is what this mechanic repaired.  As long as we have that we can take him to small claims.

@speakeasy14 I think you ought to report him to the police about your car. I doubt there's much they can do about your BF's car...but even your lawyer should've said something about that.

@500days I'm reading "The Nest" right now and it's really good! Easy read, family drama.

I am in such a crap mood today. I woke up at 5, went to 6am spin and rushed home to get ready because I had to take my cat to the vet for the spot on his head. On my way back from spin H texted me and said he got a confirmation email from the vet at 2am that said we were all set for FRIDAY at 8:30. we both had heard her say Thurs. 8:30 on the phone last night. We had to wait until they opened at 8 to see if they could get us in today and of course they couldn't. So I headed to work right in rush hour traffic (which is the sole reason why I get to work at 7) and it took me an hour to go the 9 miles to work because of an accident.

CRAPPY. I also have to stay at work until 5:30 for a meeting, and then I'm heading to Target - a coworker's little boy is in the hospital and will need surgery in a few weeks so I rallied our department together to donate money so I could put a get well soon basket together for him. It should be fun raiding Target for all the fun coloring books and other toys.

I'm pretty sure there's a return policy, I just don't know what it is because I've never had to send anything back. The leggings are one size and they post sizing charts for the other things in case it's different than normal sizing.

@speakeasy14 My H had a problem with a mechanic and his truck. The mechanic kept on saying that the part was being shipped and that's why it was taking so long (more than 1 month). My H would call all the time and even showed up to take the truck on a tow somewhere else. The mechanic was never there when he said he would be. We ended up calling the police and reporting the vehicle stolen. We got the car back a couple days after the cops got involved. We would have gone to a lawyer if the cops didn't work.

I've been having some weird lady issues recently. Basically I'm having all the symptoms of a period without the actual period. It's been this way for about a week now. Anywho, last night I was hurting from cramping and was exhausted from the night before, so I went home and took a nap. I slept so hard. After I woke up and H came home, we heated up leftover spaghetti and watched another episode of Orange Is The New Black. After that I took a nice, long bubble bath and read more of Mr. Mercedes, and then we all fell asleep by 11:30, which is early in our household.

Yesterday I was alerted that the eBook lawsuit was settled, and I had a $37 credit at B&N from it. Sweet! I bought The Girl You Left Behind, End of Watch, and the Alexander Hamilton bio that the musical is based on. Tonight I'm hanging out with @audrewuh! I haven't seen her in like 2 weeks, so I'm looking forward to seeing her and cuddling her pups, especially Stevie Wonder. He's having some mobility issues this week, and I'm worried about him.

@labro Oooooh good to know about the Amazon email! We didn't have any credit through them, so I wasn't sure how they alerted everyone. I have Skyla, which I think is the same as @Swazzle. Now that you mention it, I do remember her having period symptoms. I guess it's just a side effect. I'm ready for the intense bloating and cramping to end ASAP.

I gave him (temp) all his log-ins and was like ok you can go through all these menus and instructions in your office and just poke around and get a feel for the system. That'll buy me a few hours before we start working on something together lol

@pambeesly524 that was nice of you to do for the coworker's son! My office only has 30 people here and as far as I can tell they aren't doing anything for me/baby and it makes me a little sad. I know that's a total FWP/bratty to expect anything but still. We're all pretty close here so even a cake & card would be nice, you know? The last baby born here was 7 years ago so it's not like it happens all the time.
