I saw an email campaign from The Knot advertising "Brushy Creek Events" and an "all inclusive" package they offer. I spoke with a salesperson and it seems great, but definitely sounds "too good to be true" sort of thing. I could save THOUSANDS vs. doing things on my own with separate vendors. And it's the same price for any headcount up to 100 people? I don't see how it's possible. I must be sacrificing something. Also, I can't find any reviews for them online. There's ONE on the The Knot, that's not enough for me.
Has anyone worked with them? Anyone worked with an all inclusive package like this?
Re: All Inclusive Packages?
However, I definitely agree with the concept of an all inclusive. "Saving thousands" sounds like sales speak and is probably a way over-inflated number, but it is true that all-inclusive can save you money...but more importantly, stress.
For example, I could have selected bare-bones events spaces. On the surface, renting a space, finding an independent caterer, etc sounds cheap. But if I really were to crunch the numbers, factor in taxes and fees and things I would never think of myself (gotta pay that wedding planner...) plus decor and rentals and overtime labor or whatever... the list goes on. I can easily see multiple, inexpensive vendors adding up to more than you would spend on an all-inclusive.
I dealt with one coordinator at my venue and got food, booze, cake, menu cards, escort cards, linens, centerpieces; plus all the logistics- food, who to direct the DJ to, etc-- out of one wedding coordinator who was included in my package. The whole experience was so low-stress because all I had to do was hire a DJ, photographer, and officiant. I can't say enough good things about an AI arrangement. Even if I could have done it cheaper with individual vendors and didn't save money, whatever I paid was worth its weight in gold in terms of low stress levels.
Good luck!
Overall, it was so easy for me to just deal with the venue, write one check, etc. Definetly do your research, seek out other reviews, try to talk to people.
Basically, check the reviews and do your research, but it is quite possible that it is true!
