Morning! It's no longer Monday. 

I am TIRED. I feel like I'm never going to be caught up on sleep again. Last night I left work a little early, stopped home for Lucy, went food shopping, did the kitty litter, did 2 loads of laundry, made my lunches for the rest of the week, cooked and ate dinner, watched 1 episode of OITNB, and then tried to go to bed. I slept like shit yet again. H cannot come home soon enough!

Tonight I'll finish the laundry and I'm making Skinnytaste Zucchini "Meatballs" with homemade marinara and a side salad and hopefully FT with @GoldenPenguin for PLL if she's not busy! 

That's all I got.

Last night we didn't do much at all. I did spend a long ass time on the phone with my cheer coordinator and assistant coach. Our season starts in one month!! I'm excited but also nervous for this season!

Today the Superintendent is taking the office out to lunch because our Special Education secretary is retiring and her last day is this week. We are closing the office for about 2ish hours and going down to the waterfront for lunch. Color me excited for that!

@Swazzle I hate how one late night/early morning and/or long work day can totally throw off your routine and your sleep schedule for a week or two! I also never sleep well when H isn't home.. blah!

Morning all! I had the day off yesterday but I caught up on the thread, sounds like everyone had a good weekend! H and I had a great weekend - we ran 9 miles, did a 5k and went to the beach with friends on Sunday, but the most exciting/unexpected thing happened late Friday night...

I feel like I was JUST telling @Swazzle that we didn't want to have 2 cats in our apartment due to space, but I was scrolling through fb last week and I saw the most amazing cat. Usually when I read the sob stories out loud H is like "yeah, keep dreaming" but with this story and photo he said he wanted her too. We ended up putting in an application thinking we'd just see how it goes. I kept my hopes really low on Thurs/Friday but we went to visit her on Friday afternoon and ended up with her Friday night!

Her original name was Little Cinnamon but we renamed her Lil' Crindy (I hope all the arrested development fans get the reference!) We call her LC for short. She's 9 years old, and we kept the Little in her name because she only weighs 5lbs! She's half the size of Cooper. She doesn't have many teeth and they don't know how long she was on the street but the shelter we adopted her from rescued her from a list at the kill shelter. She's seriously the biggest lovebug and has settled into our apartment so well - Cooper is wary but I think he's going to love her.

Anyway sorry for the novel but WE LOVE HER!!!!!

@Swazzle Wow you were busy last night!!! How did your scallops turn out? How many more sleeps until your H is back?

Today is Callie's 9 month birthday! I'll let @southernpeach89 share all her photos later but I woke up to the most hilarious text message on how Callie's new favorite word (words?) is uh-oh! Apparently she'll say it while she is pulling on Maddux's tail and while she's crawling up to her daddy or to Maddux. It's so hilarious! I can't wait to hear her little voice say it in person!

We don't have any special plans. Last night apparently the fridge didn't get fully closed and while stuff was still cool this morning H is kind of concerned so I'll probably be mass cooking a lot of perishables just in case. Breakfast burritos for days and days you guys!

Also...we haven't had rain for like 3 weeks. Last night was a 100% chance and we got literally a one minute sprinkle...it wasn't even enough to make the ground look fully wet. All of the grass in the front yard is dying and I'm seriously starting to worry about some bushes. I'm thankful during periods like this that we have a septic tank which means we don't have to pay outrageous sewer fees and I can water a ton without having to worry about incurring a huge bill at the end of the month...ugh. But as our governor likes to say -

@labro It's super dry up here too so I know how you feel. BF is very upset about all our grass dying. We've been watering like crazy!

@Swazzle I can't wait to get some tomatoes...our plants aren't even close to producing yet because we started them so late! But we already have a bunch of baby cukes which means all the pickles!!!!!!

Not a huge amount last night. I planned on doing stuff but it being so warm in our apt, it's hard to keep motivation.
Swung by my mum's place after work to get band aids since I only have huge ones left. I really need to replenish my first-aid kit.
Matt ended up making dinner, which was awesome because I was able to take a shower and cool off a bit.

We talked a little about house stuff since we're at the 3 month mark

Tonight I really need to get stuff done. Ideal is laundry, locker and dishes. I want to do at least dishes and laundry, locker isn't too important and it's just emptying it out.


I am seriously getting irked with some people that call/come in. I know what I'm talking about thanks .... no need to be snarky. Guhhh ... /vent

@swazzle ugh I didn't sleep last night either. Pregsomnia has set in. You kicked ass with all those chores though!

@labro aw she wasn't saying it at the pool Sunday but now she is? That sounds adorable. We have the same problem with no rain up here too. I usually bitch every summer about getting too much rain and ruining my beach days but we need it!

same old today- still training my temp...been giving him 2 hour stretches in the morning and afternoon where he just chills in his office because my workload is kinda slow til month end. And it's embarrassing that everything I teach him I'm like "oh and this is how we fix this that corporate fucked up" . Like literally 50% of my functions are fixing their mistakes, that makes us look real good!

Still not much to report here... I spent all last week buried under books for finals. The good news is I finished the term with an A and a B so my GPA is still in good shape! I was really worried, and annoyed because one of my professors didn't grade anything for two weeks at a time so as of yesterday morning I had a 63 in the class. I emailed my advisor about it and she said that was weird... 30 minutes later all my grades were updated and I had a 94! Now I've got an accounting class called "Analyzing Financial Statements." I like accounting so it should be a good class!

I'm in a funky mood. My 23 year old brother (the one who was visiting last month) got engaged to his 18 year old, recent high school graduate GF. I found out on Facebook of all places. Naturally, I have a lot of negative feelings about it, for a lot of different reasons. I really hope BF doesn't bring it up today because I will either yell, or cry, or both. And I'm seeing the whole family in three weeks to surprise him for his birthday and I am significantly less excited about it now.

Well, last night we finally got to the part of OITNB that everyone's been freaking out about on Facebook. I'm glad it didn't get ruined for me beforehand. But holy crap, talk about an emotional season!

I also hired a friend/stylist to do my hair the morning of the wedding! I've never had my hair done other than after a haircut, so hopefully it turns out nice and I just overall look insanely gorgeous. I'm putting way more effort into looking good for this event than I probably ever have, but I guess that's what happens when your BF is going to be wearing a 3 piece suit.

Good morning! It's cloudy up here- hopefully some rain will come. My car should get a car wash, but I've been waiting for the rain to wash away the car gunk. Nothing exciting happening today, except for later when I have a Yelp dinner. It's at Longhorn. I've never been there since I just go to local steakhouses when I want a steak. I have no idea if it is any good, but I will find out tonight for myself.

I also ordered a Thredup bag to see if I can get any $ for clothes I would have donated. Anyone try this before? I'm just trying to declutter every space in my house, and my closet is a great place to start.

@500days I haven't done a bag with Thred Up but I've heard great things about it from @Swazzle and @cu97tiger so I'd totally go for it! You get a credit to use on ThredUp and so far I've been 100% happy with everything I've ordered from there so I'd say it's worth it!

@500days thought so hehe. I love Longhorn actually. There's a fancy local steakhouse in Worcester that charges like $60 per steak and I swear it's not as good as the steaks I get at LH.

@500days I sent a bag in about a month ago - they have a backlog of bags right now but I should know how much I made in a week or two. Even if I only make a couple of bucks it was worth it to get the clothes out of the house. I usually donate my stuff to the high school my mom works at but some stuff is too mature for them, etc.

@PamBeesly524 I feel the same way about donating- I can really only donate my H's old stuff because it's either graphic tshirts and sports jerseys. Boys will wear that stuff. I'll be happy to get anything for my donations. There's just so much stuff that I haven't worn this year, so it must go!

@500days usually I get a decent amount for a bag from Thredup.  I think the most I have ever received for a bag was $100. I just found out about the last bag I sent, and they gave me crap. $4 for a giant, stuffed bag.  So not too thrilled with them right now.  But they do donate anything they don't accept, so regardelss it is decluttering.

@swazzle I hope you sleep better tonight or tomorrow after your H is home.

@PamBeesly524 LC is adorable! We used to have a stray that looked like her, we called her Pretty Kitty (we had a lot of strays, creativity was low).

Today is chaos.  I've spent all morning in my weekly meeting and left with even more work than I anticipated.  Tomorrow is my huge off site meeting. Pretty sure work will not be chaotic for another week. Oh and my intern cannot handle basic instructions, so I have to carry all of the work that I had intended for him to do this summer.

^eta I really cannot complain though because my best friend is a behavior specialist and has had three patients who tried to destroy her office.

Tonight we're going to my mom's for dinner.  Which means no PLL for me since they do not have TV.  @GoldenPenguin & @swazzle did you watch Guilt?  May be my new favorite show on freeform.

@swazzle I'm glad it's getting better at work. We had a call this morning with our PR company, basically they described it to us as the calm before the storm.  We won't feel the effects for another two years probably.

I personally believe there is a special place in Hell for people that schedule afternoon meetings on Fridays. Let alone before a holiday weekend! He/she is hanging out with Hitler in the afterlife. I can feel it.
