Looking for inspiration - anyone else have the groom/groomsmen in champagne (beige/tan/ecru... whatever you want to call it) shirts and charcoal suits?
Early November wedding. My dress is ivory/champagne. White shirts are out (too bright for my dress), and textured ivory shirts are IMPOSSIBLE to find (groom doesn't want to wear undershirt, so textured dress shirt is a must). Girls are in wine (ties are wine too).
Re: Champagne Shirts with Charcoal Suit...
I tried looking for a photo of this and in all of them the men are in medium or light grey suits with a WHITE shirt and a champagne colored tie. I'm not sure that a champagne shirt will look as nice as you think...I feel like it might just look dirty or something in the photos.
If you want to go this route, maybe have the groom try on this look at a store and see it in person and in a photo that you snap. Another less traditional option is to put the men in a wine colored shirt and use a champagne tie?
Ultimately I don't remember what the men wore in any of the weddings I've attended so I would go with the easiest (white)...just my thoughts though!
The groom is actually wearing a morning suit (formal daytime wedding), but you can see the white shirt doesn't really matter.
So in my experience, it doesn't matter. Do whatever you want.
