UO: I hate Christmas and New Years Proposals (Valentines Day is even worse IMO, but at least those aren't currently clogging up my social media)
I'll relax and say I don't care if you propose AROUND those holidays but I think it's AWish to do them on the holiday in question because it generally means you wanted an audience.
My H proposed on Christmas and the only audience we had was the dog and cats.

I would totally agree with this - I mean, I'm not saying I hate all proposals from November - February, but doing it ON a holiday just makes me roll my eyes.

I heard a comedienne talking about proposals and how she wanted hers.  I don't remember what came before this but "...and NOT for Christmas or my birthday, because that's a SEPARATE gift!"

My H proposed on my bday.  But he also gave me some separate gifts, lol.

H gave me almost everything on my list PLUS an e-ring.

I like that way more than the orchestrated proposal.   I saw one captured on video and while nice, seemed....a little AWish??
