Hi! I'm having some drama with a bridesmaid who is engaged and our wedding dresses. We're both getting married next year, me first and then her a couple of months later. She bought her wedding dress first and I got mine a couple of weeks later. But she just had a meltdown, saying that I bought a dress that is too similar to hers and I shouldn't have gotten the same designer as hers. We both got Maggie Sottero dresses; hers is strapless, mine has cap sleeves and has a long train. They're both lace. She told me I "hurt" her and she was "shocked" I got a Maggie Sottero dress because she never heard me say I wanted a Maggie Sottero dress. I've had a lot of other friends get Maggie Sottero dresses and I think they're really popular, but my friend is claiming she's the only one who has ever wanted a Maggie Sottero dress (even though the salon I went to was showcasing Maggie Sottero dresses and pushing those dresses). When I went in looking for a dress, I didn't even think of my friend's. I was thinking of what makes me happy and my style. I dont think our dresses look alike, but she does. So what do I do? Do I exchange the dress and make sure I don't get a Maggie Sottero dress so she's happy? I got engaged first and am getting married first, but she got her dress first, so does she have claim over the dresses? I love my dress and it's my dream dress but I just feel now that every time I look at it or put it on, I'm going to remember all this drama. Thanks!
