I definitely get what you’re saying, @VarunaTT. The LGBTQIA+ scene around here is either dominated by rich, white, cisgender, gay men or centered around drinking and partying. If DW ever wins Powerball or MegaMillions, one of my goals is to open a sober venue for queer folks. Used books, great music, board and card games, a meeting room for planning the overthrow of capitalism (I’m only half kidding about that), and an extensive menu.

Tomorrow is going to be a long one for me. I’m getting up at oh-dark-thirty to pick up a friend of mine who’s coming back into town after leaving her abusive asshat BF. When I get back into town, DW and I have some running around to do. Tomorrow night DW is speaking at a fundraiser for the LGBTQIA+ sober house. We might stick around for the festivities afterwards.

Sunday I’m sleeping late, doing laundry, and having coffee with my sponsor. If it doesn’t rain, I’m going to my drum circle on the beach.

Monday morning I’m going to try to give blood. I say “try” because the last few times I’ve gone, I’ve failed the iron test. After that, I’m having coffee with a potential new sponsee.

@charlotte989875 Just seeing your post now! The race was great. H and I finished suuuuuuper slow but we got it done! I got sunburnt from the second half of the race when the sun came out in full force. How was the half for you?

We ended up going to Resurgence and Thin Man at the recommendation of his cousin who lives in Buffalo. We got lunch the next day at the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery (which has become a tradition for his family to go to after they run Buffalo). All in all, it was a great time.
