Where to put a tent?

Im looking for Places to put a tent in the Tri-State. Has anyone found a cheap area where you can put a tent? I found a beautiful tent to rent but no place to put it! I'm on a budget so the location has to be cheap but not in a park where anyone can just come. Unless the Park has its own private area. I want to do a DIY wedding.

    Which tri-state area? NY? 

    You could try a VFW hall - some of them have enough property that you could most likely put up a tent. 

    Is this a tent that has walls? If not, you might want to rethink and have a backup plan for inclement weather. What time of year are you having your wedding?
