Hugs for the giving up dairy.  I have friends who did the elimination diets for themselves to try to help the kiddos and it's rough giving up what you love.

FWIW, I've found that some cruciferous veggies also triggered gas in the kiddos.
The doctor also suggested this which seems a lot easier to eliminate than dairy.
  • @short+sassy when I finally get to travel again to NOLA, we have to meet up.  You sound like my cocktail and foodie buddy!  I adore Pimm's.

I'm transitioning back to a vegan meal plan, @charlotte989875, b/c of my issues with dairy. I  know I have a good vegan mac and cheese recipe somewhere; I'll look for it and share it.  Vegan cheeses have come a long way.  It will taste different, but similar enough that it fills the craving.

In my house it's nearly done already.  DH is not a veggie lover so when I'd eat broccoli and there was an overwhelming smell from the kids that could be attributed to it he blamed me for passing it on.

@NBSquared2017 I hope you love your bike!  I use the app and a Sunny and I'm HOOKED.

@Casadena big hugs for your SIL.  I hope they're able to get tested to see if there are underlying issues (hormone levels, etc.) to see if there is anything that can be changed to help.

That would be great if you could share that!

    I'd do that first.  LOL
Sadly I eat WAY more cheese and yogurt than I do broccoli.
  • Baby M had his 6 month appointment today- he’s huge and doing great. They suggested I cut out dairy though because he’s having some gas issues. I love mac and cheese so much it will be a hard 6-9months until he’s full time on solid foods.

Work is finally slowing down and it feels good to not be so stressed all the time!
I’m currently dairy free too because of a sensitivity in Madison. I cheat a little, but overall haven’t been eating it for 6 months. It was hard at first, but I did see an improvement in bloating and gas.

I haven’t found a great cheese alternative just yet, but I love oat milk and dairy free Magnum ice cream 🍦

Yes!!!  I would love that.  You let me know when and your kind of faves and I will create a custom Varuna list to choose from.  I could even work with vegan, though that's a little tough here, lol.

Cheese is life. That is all.
Oh, I adore dairy cheese.  But after awhile, the bloating, gas, and the other things that happen just start to be not worth it.

I've made a few cheese from this list and really enjoyed them.  I always tell people that you can't think of things as "substitutes" really, but as a totally different food and let it stand on it's own feet.  The baked almond feta on this one is so yummy.

    Thus my dilemma.

Is anyone else here on TikTock? There have been viral videos of whipped feta cheese dips that are showing up every week. Lots of temptation 🥴

I’m too damn old to be posting so I just creep, but some of  the food recipes look divine.
  • I have fallen into the Tiktok hole.  Those feta pasta things look amazing, but I haven't seem the caramel popcorn.  Feta is one of the cheeses that is particularly tortuous for me.

Mine is basically food, dog grooming videos, so many lesbian thirst traps (which I have to check their ages so I'm not weirded out) and probably TMI, but shibari.

My favorite lesbians are: hannahbreadtok + melissadilkespateras 💁🏾‍♀️

My FYP is all food and home renovations. Clearly you know what I’ve been focused on this quarantine

The caramel popcorn is basically melting werthers and butter in a pan, putting popcorn kernals in and letting them pop in the caramel :)
  • @NBSquared2017 I already follwed the hannahbread, but I picked up melissa and have been laughing.  I also sent hers to a friend who just bought a home and is doing a bunch of DIY.  Thanks for the recommendations.

Also, @MissKittyDanger I'm going to try that caramel popcorn!  I love Werthers.
  • @VarunaTT I'm sure if you google it, it'll explain more detail lol I need to get kernals
