Doing work that my 2-above wants even though it’s pretty pointless (literally checking to see that numbers are the same in three different places. They are. Legally there’s be problems if there weren’t). So I’m dragging my heels on it because, again, annoying.

  • I took half day yesterday and walked straight into fuckery before I was logged in.  It's still continuing today and it turns out that the person squawking is causing their own fuckery.  Very obnoxious.  Now I have to nicely tell them to stop causing their own issues and work it out with the proper entity.  And then cross my fingers they don't come back trying to make this still my issue. Ugh. 

    So yay, Tuesday.  The best day.  LOL  

    We're all dragging in the mornings right now, especially DefConn. Only 2 more days of school left after today.  I'm trying really hard not to think about how fast time is going because it makes me anxious and gives me ridiculous dreams.  

    I'm trying to psych myself up to stay home on my day off tomorrow and get some stuff done around the house.  I do have TV and podcasts to catch up on and I don't need a damn thing.  I should also enjoy the time alone with myself since summer break means there's someone around most of the time.  Hee.

    He is probably going to reject everything. 

    Is there any shot that he has a GTFO order with an optional tent if he doesn't pick a place by the deadline?    Based on what you say he's going to need to be wheeled out on a hand truck. 
  • This is such a busy week.   Chiquito has a game tonight and I'm hoping that we can grab take out as an option to help cushion the need to cook.   The restaurant within walking distance of his baseball field is doing a fundraiser for the local HS so getting their food is donating to charity and I just SHOULD do it right? 

    I'm trying to keep Chiquita on schedule.  She can get so easily distracted and her rehearsals this week are ending between 8 and 8:30.  While I don't want a rained out Memorial Day weekend if it pours Friday night then she may get the soccer game she's missing rescheduled.  

    Otherwise it's SSDD.

    @charlotte989875 and @mrsconn23, I'm right there with you both today on work fuckery.  We are just starting to ramp up a big project and the client was asking why all the material requisitions (MR) are not on the weekly report I send.  So the big boss sends me an e-mail this morning asking if there is an MR list and when can it get uploaded.

    Well, I dunno.  IS there an MR list?  Because you are the one who usually sends it to me.  So then I had to finagle how to say that nicely and sounding helpful, lol.  One of the challenges with my job is I'm usually kept out of the loop on almost everything.  So then it is frustrating when people suddenly want all these answers ASAP on things I haven't had anything to do with yet and couldn't know were even becoming "hot".

    Other than that, things are going well.  One of my coworkers and I are going out for lunch today.  It's been a couple months since we caught up, so I am really looking forward to it.

    When we were talking about credit cards a couple weeks ago, I mentioned how much I love my BofA one because they will often have offers to pull a cash advance for zero interest for about a year.  I have two different cards with them.  One of them I'd gotten that offer before I left for vacation.  The other one had that offer in my waiting mail, when I got home.  I pulled the trigger on BOTH of those yesterday and am excited to have some "free" money.  I'm going to pay off three business cc's that have the lowest balances and highest interest.  But most of the money is going to pay down my HELOC.

  • Woohoo @short+sassy, that’s a great offer.  I applied for the BOA card too, when I posted that link.  I don’t have it yet, but my town’s mail is notorious for giving me things days later.  I had stopped all my mail until Saturday when I got back and NOTHING has been in my mail box but some junk flyers.

    @banana468.  I think you gotta.  It’s a fundraiser, right? Wait before I make you commit, what kind of food?

    @MissKittyDanger that’s awesome about the student loan.  One thing out of the way!  While you paid off your debt, I added to mine yesterday *gulp*

  • @CharmedPam my coworker was joking she added to her student loan lol I'm just stoked. The money I paid to loan I may just set aside for a bit, rebuild the savings. Then start shoving it to another loan

    Currently hating this 85 degree weather we're having all week.  Humid too.  EW.  Bring the 60s and sunshine back!  I would love another pair of maternity/comfy shorts but i'm not going to spend $ on them for like 4 more weeks.  Trying to motivate myself to work ahead and set things up for when i'm on leave (I am not good at doing this, i'm a very last minute person) but it will be a huge help to my boss and whoever has to take over my quarterly stuff, so it will be worth it.  

    I think baby is a girl and our list of baby girl names is like 50 long still, so we need to start narrowing down.  Also need to get the baby room in shape.  This kid is coming soon!

    So glad @short+sassy and @CharmedPam had an awesome vacay!  I'm super jealous and can't wait to be fully vaxxed and maybe travel sometime next year!

    Oh god, the house. He was supposed to refinance to remove me from the mortgage. But because he lies about his income and hides money, he was denied. LOL. So he now has 1 year to either refinance and if he can't he has to sell the house. 
    OMG, this give me a sigh of relief for my friend.  Her STBXH (who has had no income for 2-3 years...maybe more) swears he can get financed to buy her out of their mortgage and keep the house.  He has 60 days and if he can't secure financing, he has another 30 to get out (all the eyerolls).  I'm certain he won't get approved.  I want to be a fly on a wall when he's trying to even apply.  

    If he fails, she gets to keep the house or she can sell.  If she keeps it she will have to refi to pay him off, but she can stay.

    @levioosa, I've never reglazed a tub, but I've looked into it and have always been curious.  Let us know how it goes!

    For our last big reno (the dreaded double-duplexes), we had to totally replace two of the tubs.  But they were structurally in bad shape, so reglazing wouldn't have really helped.

    No time like the present to declare his real income on his tax returns for 2020 and 2021 (next year).  But it's hard for people who are already used to cheating the government to take a tax hit for 1-2 years, even if that is in their best interest.

    Plus, if he is self-employed and/or earns income outside of a W-2 job, that can also be a major obstacle on a purchase or refi.

    It's too bad he won't just sell!  It is such a seller's market.  Right now is the best time.  He can rent somewhere like you did and then buy another house when the market cools off some.
