I (45f) recently eloped with my bf (39m). Some backstop my bf and I have been together for 8 years. We had talked about getting married even planned a dream wedding, but we never pulled the trigger. In January I was brought to the hospital with a life threatening condition. While at the hospital, I asked if he wanted to get married in an year and a half. He didn't want to wait that long so we eloped a few months later with the intent to have a wedding a year later.
I made the appointment to David's bridal at the beginning of June for the end of July. They sent me a confirmation/reminder two days before my appointment. We piled my 75 year old mother, my sister who recently had heart surgery, and my two best friends into two cars, had breakfast and made the two hour drive to a neighboring state. Only to arrive and find a sign stating the store closed 11 days before. A full nine days before they sent me a reminder.
I was unable to call the customer service line and was rerouted to a text message service you are required to pay for each text. They offered me the same deal thats available online. That I can buy dresses and return them for a refund if they don't fit or look good. One. At. A.TIme. I asked to be escalated to management and they offered me an undefined "slightly higher" discount to buy online or potentially nothing if I make an appointment at a new store. I have asked to be escalated again. I feel disrespected. I feel like this is nothing to them. At one point there person who responded first said they strice to succeed in good customer service but they failed this time. This is the absolute worst customer service I have ever received anywhere. Anyone else have this experience with David's Bridal?
