Idk how fun it will be, it's rainy and dreary here. Weekend was good. Wha'ts everyone up to?

Weekend was nice. H took the boys to the farmers market with his parents Saturday morning, then out to lunch and to the spectator area at the regional airport to watch planes while I had some quiet/chill/chore time at home. Then we went to IL's for dinner. Yesterday i dropped off a baby gift to some friends who had twins a couple months ago, did a costco run with the boys, then IL's came over and played with the boys for a couple hours so H and I could clean/do yardwork/run a couple errands. I made a slightly fancy pasta dinner last night with supplies the boys picked out at the farmers market. Overall a very good weekend!

Oh goodness!  The IT problems at my work are extreme.  They won't have it fixed for a few days.  The managers are freaking out and there is talk of sending some people home.

Fortunately for me, I have enough work on the part of the system that is working so I at least won't be twiddling my thumbs for days..

Supposedly, it's a Microsoft operating system problem with how it works with Remote Desktop, so it's not just this company affected.

It was a good weekend.  I got more stuff cleared out of the house.  Unfortunately my cruise voucher hasn't been registered yet with Norwegian, so I wasn't able to make any progress with trip planning.  My offer printout did say to allow up to 5 business days before calling.  I'm hoping it won't take that long.  I'm planning to call every night until it's there, so they can give me my options.  The CSR did tell me there is plenty of availability for all the Seattle-->Alaska cruises in September, so at least that was good news.

Weekend was great! We finally got to have a make up birthday party for M and he LOVED it. The bounce house was a huge hit and we had to drag him out of it. The rest of the weekend was good but exhausting.

Weekemd was busy! But FUN. I was constantly on the go Saturday with meetups and loved it after a weekend of doing nothing. We went to a wolfpark and since I saw wolf interaction with people on their website, I thought that’s what we were doing… but we just got a walk through.  Interaction with them & a picture is $250.  I didn’t think our $20 ticket was going to allow that.  Lol.  Now, I must go back. But I don’t know many who are willing to pay that $250 (another wolf park in the area with interaction is $350).

The weekend was pretty good around here, except for some minor house BS.  DH went on his guy's trip and it went well.  I went out to dinner with my friend L on Friday because M (her H) was DJing at a new restaurant.  They liked him so much, they asked him to come back this Friday.  It's his passion to DJ, so I'm stoked he's getting so much business.  He's had a good summer with a lot of gigs. 

Saturday, we stopped by L's son's football game (first of the year...they're 6, so it's hilarious because they all look like bobbleheads).  After that, DefConn and I went and did a bunch of running around.  Since L's son was with his dad this weekend, we had dinner again on Saturday night.  M joined us after he got off work and we had a nice time just chatting and having some drinks. 

Yesterday, DH came home.  Once he unloaded from the weekend, we put some finishing touches on our bathroom remodel, made an excellent dinner (steaks, potatoes, and street corn salad), and had a little chill time. 

House BS...So far this summer, we've replaced our dishwasher (sort of planned), our water softener and the bathroom remodel (both unplanned/emergent situations).  We still have a mailbox and RO system we purchased to install and haven't gotten to yet.  Plus we want to refresh our office ASAP.  Yesterday, when DH got home, our water pressure was shit (we're on a well) and I freaked out a little bit, but it turned out our filter was super dirty and things were fine.  After dinner, our garbage disposal took a shit.  So DH is going to Menards to get a new one today and installing it tonight. 

I refuse to ask what else could go wrong, but I am crying to the universe for a tiny reprieve from the house things breaking.  LOL  The upside is that so far, everything has been DIY...so no labor costs.  But a lot of time cost.

Had such a nice weekend and thankfully the weather was great too. Had the best pastrami I've ever had in my life at this little country store. Went to a winery. Got a bunch done around the house and had time to float in the pool.

This weekend was alright.  I met the cat on Saturday and adopted her.  I'll live with her while before totally committing to a name, but I really want to name her Kitty Stardust.  But I have this thing in my brain after meeting her that her name might be Sweetpea (after the Sucker Punch heroine).  She's only a bit more than 6 pounds, so sweet, affectionate (let me pick her up and hold her until she wanted to play some more) still playful, SO soft, but an adult, and is a single cat household only.



I have all of her stuff purchased (I bought an obnoxious water fountain b/c it looked cool) and she'll come home on Thursday.

Sunday I just tried to stay busy with cleaning, reading, and meal planning.  Got a lot done and crashed out around 8.

@VarunaTT, congrats!  Her eyes are so beautiful and unusual.  She sounds like a sweet and friendly kitty.  So petite at only 6 lbs!

I know they had loads of applications for her because of her eyes.  I listed all of my reasons for wanting her (b/c I read the personality profile and it matched) and then I said, "And it just helps that she has eyes like my favorite musician, David Bowie too".  The lady cracked up.

Imma be the nerd I am to enthusiastically share:  he doesn't really.  He was in a fistfight over a girl and the other young kid (I think they were teenagers) threw a punch that ended up scratching the eye and leading to a permanently exploded pupil injury.

Weekend was good. Friends were here for the races (H and them go I don't). I got lots done while they were gone. They left this morning and we left for Chicago. We are here until Thursday morning. We haven't seen the grandsons in a month and boy have they grown. The twins start kindergarten next week.
