Prudie Day

I wanted to start off with ::tap tap:: "The NY state lotto jackpot is now....." for all of you who used to watch those commercials!

Have a frustrating situation at work that isn't with humans but the humans are trying to troubleshoot it.

I'm crossing fingers that we continue to stay healthy as Chiquita heads into play weekend and DH is recovering from a cold.    I still have boxes of Christmas stuff in my living room so the need to clean up is here and I need to get in on that.

How is everyone else?

I'm working from home today.  Mold has got to be high, b/c my lungs just ache.  However, I went to a mocktail class last night (which was so much fun) and we did a smoked drink.  That usually doesn't bother me, but I"m not usually in a row with 5 other people setting walnut chips on fire and smoking them into a glass either.  But the class was so much fun, we were able to taste all of her (it's a locally owned shop) NA options, which was GREAT (they are just as expensive as alcohol options and if you don't like them, you're just out that money.  She taught us 2 drinks, both of which were tasty.  I dropped some money on new glassware (a personal weakness), a collection of bitters, a new NA beer I hadn't seen available here before, and a LOVELY cardamom syrup she had.  It's so flavorful, I'll probably just mix it with club soda for a yummy drink.  She sent us home with a little kit that had another syrup, a garish, and a salt (or sugar) she designed.  Her prices were good, as well, so that's nice.

Nothing big going on, mostly SSDD.

That sounds like so much fun, @VarunaTT!  I should look for mocktail classes around here.  Hubby has always been a teetotaler, and I drink very little so it would be nice to still have the experience of fancy drinks but alcohol free.

Busy day at work with lots of meetings.  Bunnies are playing in the snow outside, it really makes the day more fun.

Sounds like a fun workshop and a great way to test all that.  Fingers are cross for you too @banana468

SSDD here.  I have a facial tonight right after work, then heading to walgreens to pick up some wooden picture blocks. I’m really hoping to make it out Saturday so the rest of my family can get their Christmas gifts and I can see my boys.  If I have to push it off till next week, I’ll be missing out on what looks like a good play at a local theatre here.  There’s no other good weekend coming up to move this to!

If you can't find anything, I really can't speak highly enough of the Raising the Bar subscription I've been doing.  It isn't cheap, but it's well worth the cost (and I get full sized bottles of some NA product about every 3 months).  They send you enough ingredients for 3 different mocktails, 2 of each, plus barware, and garnishes each month.  I've gotten to try a wide variety of things that have been really great, each time.  I've also re-purchased some products they've included b/c I liked the products so much.  Those products were probably things I wouldn't have tried otherwise.  They are also super responsive to their customers.  I filled out a survey that was sent to customrs and the company changed their products based on the responses to that survey.  I was absolutely floored, but highly impressed b/c the big change cost the company more money, I'm sure, but every client has been happy with it and they didn't raise the cost of the subscription.

I am beyond pissed that work fuckery has spilled into day 2.  I also don't like feeling that at best, someone misinterpreted me and has made incorrect assumptions and at worst, they're trying to chuck me and/or my team under the bus.  Ugh.

DefConn went to the othro doc this morning because he's been having foot pain and slight swelling for about a month.  He's got an aggravated tendon.  He's in a boot for about a month.

SSDD otherwise. Prudie soon.  Sorry for the delay.

    Back to normal routine somewhat.

BK was back at judo last night. First night after a couple weeks and holidays is hard, apparently, she got tired and opted to lie on the mats instead of doing stuff.

I'm hoping to see an RMT soon. I find after being sick, my body is still so stiff that my back hurts extra.
M is suppose to see his buddy this weekend, but depending on times I may see if I can see RMT last min :\

I've applied to a few places - but the school one closes officially tomorrow so we'll see what happens.
Looks like low applicants, so I'm hoping an interview will happen.

Yesterday was super busy. I had a massage followed by an eyebrow appointment. Then an early dinner and play with my girls' group. In between appointments I did manage to get some cleaning done. I'm trying to work my way through closets and cabinets so it will take a while.

We are in Chicagoland just in time for the winter storm! What were we thinking? Right now it is nice but tomorrow is going to be horrible. The pup won't know what to do! H will shovel a place for him to go potty but he hasn't seen snow since last winter when he was a baby! It was hilarious when we arrived. The grandsons had built a snowman in their front yard. Pup has never seen a snowman before so he proceeded to bark at it and protect us from this strange creature!

@ILoveBeachMusic, so cute with your dog and the snowman!

My dog Izzy has never seen snow.  I've always been curious what her reaction would be!
