Wedding Woes

Earth Day Monday

I know Earth day is today, is it a nationally recognized holiday?
How was everyone’s weekend.  I did end up getting a car, so yay - but now that I have a monthly payment you’ll be hearing less about my shopping endeavors.  Or, that’s the goal anyway.  So boo for that.
Really cold and crappy weather. I wanted to go joyriding but then I was also like “the novelty of a new car DOES wear off, and I want to save miles for legit miles” lol. So I really stayed in all weekend.

Re: Earth Day Monday

  • What did you get @charmedpam

Weekend was good! Ran a 5k Saturday and all the boys came to watch. M really wanted to run with me so after I finished he and I ran to the finish line. He was so excited and was trying so hard it was so adorable.

Yesterday was Moana at the theater and he did so good!! He loved when it got dark and the intro played. He did yell “mama look it’s Moana/Maui/Moanas Dad/He He” whenever he saw a character. Thankfully the music was loud and so were the other kids.
  • Omg that sounds so cute @charlotte989875.  Kids get so excited for stuff like that!
i did my research and at the end it was neck to neck with a cx5 and Rogue for midsized SUV’s. Rogue won.  The reviews for a mazda were better, but just slight and didn’t make a difference for me, but price and some other features won out with the rogue.  I have no idea how these legs did a cx3 for so long lol

  • Congratulations @charlotte989875 on your 5K that sounds adorable with M running the finish line with you. Glad the movie went well. Also congrats on the car @CharmedPam! I have car envy because a friend got a new one but I am in no way ready for a new car. They are too darn expensive.

H got back from his trip Saturday night. I told him he is in charge of the dog now for a bit. That dog is definitely a routine oriented pup! He likes all his people where he wants them! I totally watched too much TV while H was gone. We will finish up Shogun when the finale is released tomorrow.

I have a chiropractor appointment this afternoon. Hopefully will get some relief for my sciatic pain. That is of course if I can actually get there. There is so much road construction on our corner of town, I'm not sure how I'm going to go. The powers that be have every major roadway (and many minor ones) closed or significantly restricted now. I'm glad I don't have to drive into work on a daily basis and H is glad he is retired!
  • Congrats on the new car @CharmedPam!  The Rogue is on the short list of cars I'd buy, if needed.
WTG on the race @charlotte989875 and I'm so glad the movie adventure went well.

Our weekend was pretty good.  Saturday was very low key - laundry, TV & a nap!  Sunday we took DH's sisters and niece to see his other sister (B).  By last night I needed some space and headed to the grocery store.  His family is sweet but OMG they drive me crazy sometimes.  Everyone talks at once and they don't hear each other.  We needed B to fill out a power of attorney form and an advanced directive.  Another sister passed away unexpectedly last Thanksgiving with neither in place and it was a mess.  Neither are married and the family wanted to know her wishes.  She's basically confined to her facility as she is on a breathing tube, so she wants a sister & niece to be able to bank for her.  Anyway, I finally got the paperwork filled out and now she'll work with the social worker to get it notarized.

Today is a challenge.  DH is just out of sorts.  He's short tempered and laid in to me over lunch about something.  I had to just walk away.  When he gets like this, there isn't any reasoning with him in the moment.  ICK.
