Ivory or White? Help!

I’m sure I’m not the first person to deal with the dilemma of groomsmen wearing white or ivory shirts but I need help! My fiancé and I’s wedding is Wes Anderson inspired which basically means eclectic and vintage inspired. The groomsmen are wearing shades of blue with a western shirt and bolo tie. My brother is in a burgundy/purple suit and my dad a vintage looking army green for their suits. My brother/man of honor and dad have already bought their shirts in ivory and they look great. However, my fiancé got a custom suit made and accidentally got his dress shirt made in white. Now I’m not sure if I should make the groomsmen wear the same western shirt but in white to match him or if everyone but him should be in ivory. Maybe that will make him stand out? I just can’t decide in a good way or a bad way. I’ve attached a picture of my brother in the ivory and a picture of the groomsmen’s blue. As well as the shirt in ivory and white. I like the ivory shirts better because they give me more of a vintage vibe but I also know that white looks better with blue. So I need the public to weigh in and tell me what to do! If it makes a difference, the bridesmaids are in all different colors. TIA!

  • It sounds like there is going to be a lot of mix of colors and shades so it really won't make a difference what the groomsmen wear. I think I read your post correctly that they aren't all wearing the same shade of blue? If they are wearing the same shade, I would go with the white so that on your FI side they all match. If they aren't let them get what they want.
